CWEP: Certificate in Wedding and Event Planning Course

York College

Tuition: $1495

Call: 718-262-5242

Classroom (CR), instructor-led, hands-on class sessions with online course access for those looking to get started in the wedding and event industry right away. Students fulfill all course requirements AND prepare for the certificate exam by participating in the online and live-class sessions.

Live-class sessions allow for instructor interaction with new perspectives and insider information from others in the industry attending who bring advice, insight, and experience to group discussions. Local classes take class trips, meet with local vendors, and attend local industry events. Courses are taught by seasoned wedding and event professionals.

Online students participate in group collaboration, share projects in the student blogs and discussion areas, and interact with students from all over the world, providing a great resource for networking, learning, and inspiration.

This course allows for application and utilization of business tools, formulas and presentation methods that students learn in their training. This includes role playing, vignettes and discussions to practice actual business objectives or work settings in the day-to-day of wedding and event planning. Students will gain hands-on training during the course.

Tuition includes classroom sessions, CWEP course materials, eTextbook & curriculum, online student center, certificate exam fee and certification designation.

Please note, campus classes are a hybrid of in-class and online learning. The time spent in class will consist of lectures from your instructor, activities, live demonstrations, and words from guest speakers.

All assignments, projects, quizzes and exams are submitted online. You will need access to a computer or tablet with internet access. Assignments and projects are often done in Microsoft Word, Excel, or PowerPoint so basic computer skills are required.
