CWEP Project 2

Posted By Sierra Ostergaard, Friday, January 18, 2019
This is my Project #2! It made me realize how much foundation really needs to happen in order to open up your own wedding planning business. It made me sit down and go through and fill out and make forms that I will need for my business and it was super rewarding once it was all completed!

Project # 2

Posted By Sully Arias-Serna, Saturday, November 3, 2018

This project helped me structure all my scattered business ideas, and provided me with a better understanding on what to direction when starting a business. It made me realize there are a lot of details I still to need to consider. The assignment over all was an excellent first step to help organize and develop my business ideas.

CWEP Project 2

Posted By Andrea Wilke, Monday, April 9, 2018
Hello everyone! My name is Andrea Wilke and I am the owner of Andrea Dawn Events. While working towards my certification in wedding and event planning, I've really learned not only about the industry, but myself. I've learned how passionate I truly am about my work and I've loved every step of the way. I was really excited to finally start putting together a contract. It was finally getting... real!

SELLING YOUR SERVICES:PROJECT 2

Posted By Nazaret Navarro Poley, Tuesday, February 21, 2017
Updated: Saturday, April 15, 2017

My name is Nazaret and I'm a 29 year old stay-at-home mom to two little girls and military wife.My little family and I live in Northern California with our 2 pets,Sasha and Oreo.

This project was intense,it took me a while to put everything together and finish it.It was a lot of thinking since I didn't want the information to be used just for a project but for my future business.I hadn't saved the assignments included in this project like the bridal shower ideas so I had to start over on that but I'm happy with the result.I can't wait to start using these documents in real life.I also loved looking at other students' projects and logos, helped me to get an idea of what I wanted mine to look like and to make it different.

Project 2 - Selling Your Services

Posted By Chelsea Wilks, Saturday, November 12, 2016
I enjoyed this project so much and learned a lot. It helped me know more about what kind of services I would want to offer in my business. I know that it isn't perfect and I will probably make some changes as I go, but it is a great starting point. After this project, I do feel like I am better prepared for opening my future business.

Timelessly by Sasha - Project 2

Posted By Sasha Hernandez-Ticali (Hernandez), Tuesday, January 19, 2016

I began Timelessly by Sasha because of my own wedding planning experience. I enjoyed every single second of it – even the stressful times. As a bride I found that in order for me to have everything we wanted at our wedding the footwork was extreme. My venue had a wedding planner – in fact, I probably wouldn’t have had such a wonderful, memorable night had it not been for her.

Here at Timelessly by Sasha we promise you an endless list of creative ideas, personal touches and special, lasting reminders of your event.

Planning can be overwhelming, starting can seem like the biggest test of your life – you may even think you can’t do it. We can help you! Whether it’s your wedding day, birthday, bridal shower or 50th wedding anniversary – Timelessly by Sasha takes pride in being your go-to for fun, happiness and love every step of the way.

//

Timelessly by Sasha prides itself in providing Wedding and Event services effortlessly, efficiently and flawlessly. Our client’s come first with consultations, availability and support. We work with our clients by listening to their ideas, needs, wants and preferences all while incorporating our creativity, knowledge and background in event planning.

As the owner of Timelessly by Sasha I will work towards providing my clients with extensive knowledge, interest and creativity within the industry alongside my skills, experience and dedication to create their event with memories of a lifetime. My goal is to continue to strive to create lasting relationships with key vendors in a variety of vendor services. I also look forward to being able to provide my clients with these services as well as my own to reduce many of the stresses one may find while planning.

One of the biggest aspects of our company is our dedication to helping others. We here at Timelessly by Sasha are proud to serve our clients with guest vendor speakers at seminars, a variety of marriage counseling recommendations, worthwhile vendors and the opportunity to take DIY classes, budget analysis, budget friendly ideas, and so much more.

My goal as Owner of Timelessly by Sasha is to plan at least two weddings in the Winter/Spring of 2016. I look forward to attending Bridal Shows, food tastings and functions as well as philanthropic outreach in order to better myself as a Wedding and Event Planner.  By Summer 2016, I hope to join various Bridal Associations/Vendor Associations and grow by word of mouth.

I look forward to a rewarding career!

Project 2.

It is not easy for me since I'm not native English speaker, also an international student who don't familiar with Western wedding tradition. However, it was fun to do the projects as I process into the project 2.

Leah Rapaport's Project #2

Posted By Elika Almeida (Queiros), Monday, October 22, 2012

My student, Leah Rapaport's presentation for Project #2.  The project was detailed.  Some of my suggestions to Leah were as follows:

1.  Do not include a list of vendors at this point because you are 'selling' your services and part of what makes a planner valuable is that 'secret' list of vendors.  Once you (planner) have acquired a signed contract, you can then share your valuable resources with your clients (who have signed a contract to acquire your planning services).

2.  Leah did a great job with her contract/service agreement and with the detail she provided.  I would also suggest as part of her planning packages, she provide her STARTING rate.  For example, Full Service Wedding Planning starts at $1,500.  Though Leah customizes her wedding planning and event planning packages, it's always good to specify a starting rate.  Remember, you may be targeting a certain client.  If couples look at the starting rate of $1,500 and say "that's way too expensive"....then that may not have been the right client for you.  Rates for planning weddings and events do vary and there are several factors that go into defining what those rates would be for you (as the planner).  You have to feel comfortable with the rate and the amount of work you will be providing.  Remember to value yourself and your skills and services.

3.  When providing a Bio, you might want to consider adding a picture.  Couples love personalized information.  The couple will feel as though they already know you even before meeting you in person.  Tell your story!

Hope this helps.  Leah did a great job and incorporating some of my suggestions will help her to put that winning company presentation together and will better equip her to acquire the right clients.

~ Elika
