CWEP Project 2

Posted By Jennifer Chung, Monday, May 22, 2017
Hello.  My name is Jennifer Chung from Jlove Events.  Project 2 has made me realize how much research and planning is involved in starting your event planning business.  The designs and details involved really helped to start my own brand to show my colors and styles.  Also learned very valuable lessons from this project, especially to always document each step of my planning process and to remember to keep up to date with the trends to keep my brand, packages, and data sheets up to date.

Project #3

Posted By Jackie Butler, Friday, May 19, 2017

I am Jackie Butler an upcoming Event Planner. I have worked in hospitality for many years and love the creativity it allows me. I have enjoyed the class but I wish it had more classes directed to Event Planner. Cheryl Allgood, our instructor, has been very supportive.

Each year the TRCC's Business & Community Expo connects more than 100 vendors to their community, allowing them to showcase their offerings as they meet future customers. More than 1,000 spectators are expected to attend this year's event, which the TRCC is energized to announce is returning to community favorite attraction

Grand Opening Ari Ledezma Event Planning & Design

Posted By Arianna Ledezma, Friday, May 19, 2017

Grand Opening!!!

The grand opening  of Arianna Ledezma Event Planning & Design  will take place on Saturday, May 20,  at The Great Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden  in Coral Gable, Florida  at 7:00 pm.

Our goal is to make the Grand Opening memorable. My favorite part of this project was creating the A8 formula. It was very  interesting coordinating everything and have a balance with color, decoration…. Design is one of my favorites in the wedding planning process because there are great  possibilities…I learned several things from this project, but the biggest thing I took away was to be very organized. It is essential and you will get excellent results.

Project 1 Wedding Reception

Posted By Alana Etheridge, Thursday, May 18, 2017

Hello, my name is Alana Etheridge.  I am a full-time contract negotiator for a health carrier. I have been planning events since 1987.  I enjoy planning events and seeing the end-result of satisfied clients.  I started off in the event planning business by planning proms, baby and bridal showers.  Eventually, I honed into my event planning skills and started coordinating weddings, class and family reunions, celebrity charity galas, non-profit fundraising, and conferences/meeting planning.

Project 1 was challenging but so gratifying as I created it.  I had underestimated the detail and thought that goes into wedding planning.  This project has been a great experience.

I created a wedding reception for a couple who eloped and wanted a modern but elegant reception for 350 friends and family members.

Again, the style was a modern but elegant theme for the early autumn season, Hues of orchid, lavender cream was used throughout the presentation.

Project 3 - Grand Opening

Posted By Treniece Moore-Walters, Thursday, May 18, 2017

Treniece Moore-Walters, Owner/Operator of 8910 Event Designs Unlimited LLC, hereafter “8910 Event Designs,” will be hosting a grand opening celebration Thursday, September 14, 2017 from 5:00-10:00pm EST. Celebration will be held at the lovely Beautique Lounge, located in the heart of New York City, 8 West 58th Street, New York, NY 10019 – nestled just between the Hell’s Kitchen and Lenox Hill neighborhoods. All are invited to come out and see what services we have to offer to make your event unique and selective to your needs.

My overall experience of the Wedding and Event Planning course was challenging, thought provoking and most importantly - appreciated! I cannot begin to elaborate on the anxieties and range of emotions this course has taken me through. I am proud to say that I am done, I am more informed about the industry and I have the proper foundation for my business to function properly and flourish. This experience couldn't have come at a better time.

The project I've prepared gives you a sneak pick of all that is to come for my business' grand opening this coming September 2017. It highlights and provides a visual presentation of who we are, what services we offer, and hopefully incite one's participation in our grand opening!

Posted By Karr Stewart, Thursday, May 18, 2017

My name is Karr Stewart  The Event Diva Weddings & Events Grand Opening! New Local, Certified Wedding and Event Planner Will Help Brides Add That Special Touch in Creating Their Dream Wedding.
Irving, TX---March 08, 2017—The Event Diva Weddings and Events, an up and coming wedding and event planning business, is announcing their grand opening with an Open House for newly engaged couples. An exciting evening of hor d’oeuvres, cocktails and fun is scheduled to give brides ideas to help them plan one of the most magical days of their life.

Experience: My overall experience was great! I learned  lot about the different styles of events, weddings and cultures. I especially enjoyed the guest speakers weekly that's currently working in the industry. They gave a lot of great insight on what they do i.e photography, DJ etc... the pros/cons do/don'ts. My teacher Cheryl Allgood was extremely helpful and very informative. Being an event planner herself, she was able to help guide the class as to how a planner actually conduct business and aligned her experiences with our textbooks. This overall help the class put a lot of things in perspective.

CWEP Project 1

Updated: Thursday, May 18, 2017
Hello!  My name is Lisa Wells.  I live near Fort Worth, TX.  The last 10 years I worked in the mortgage industry, but was recently laid off, thus my foray into what I've always wanted to do.  I am currently working part-time assisting a wedding planner and a caterer, getting more hands on experience.  I am still deciding if I want to work for a company doing event planning or if I want to start my own business at this time.  However, future goal is to for sure own my own business. This course and project has been quite the challenge.  It's more work than I expected, but I love the challenge!  I chose to plan a wedding with a modest budget, being forced to think even more creatively and outside the box.  Thank you!

We are welcoming to potential clients and vendors My experience about this project is that now I can say with confident that I am able to start my own business. this project taught me how grand opening work, about how to start a new and first business. My project is about a wedding event that has happened already I was a part of decorating the hall. It was little bit different from other weddings because it was to combine two cultures ceremony, which was an awesome experience.

My name is Frishta akbar, currently studding at city college of san Francisco being certify as a wedding

Planner. My experience as a wedding planner taught me that leadership plays an important rule

And I also learned that the vendor has an important role in the project, for example if they do something

Wrong and fail I will fail too. It is also important to be successful enough to make my clients satisfied.

Project 3

KM Weddings & Events will be hosting a grand opening at Stirr in Dallas. We will be taking over the rooftop patio with Muffins & Mimosas. This event will be a meet and greet. We are welcoming to potential clients and vendors. There is parking in the back of the local for free. We are very excited to meet everyone. As you come on the rooftop we will have pink, gray and white paper lamps. We will also have short square vases with white roses in them. There will be about 10 tables. We will also have seating at the bar and will be putting 5-4 flowers along side. Since this is a meet and greet we are wanting to engage with our clients and vendors to gain their trust, therefore seating will be limited. When you walk in the door we ask that you put your name, number and email address on a ticket and it will be entered in a drawing! Whom ever wins will get 1 free consultation along with 50% off their first service.

My Experience

Posted By Timia Bell, Saturday, May 13, 2017

My experience as a student of lovegevity has been rocky. There was a lot of work and research. At a time it was kind of overwhelming. When I really looked at everything I was doing it all started to come together. With the work, podcast, projects, etc. I received a lot of information from things like starting a business, different cultures, how to save client's money, making package plans, and so much more. All the information was very helpful and I will be using most it in my business. With this experience I have a better understanding on planning. I am glad I took this course it was a lot of help.

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Lisa Sanchez, Friday, May 12, 2017

My name is Lisa Sanchez, I’m from Ft. Worth Texas. I graduated in 2013 with a Bachelors in Criminal Justice. I’m currently an Office Manager for an Orthopedic Surgeon. I was at Bridal Shows Inc., with my husband and a friend back in February of 2017, when we came across a booth from TCC. We walked up and we were immediately greeted by two professional women who gave us lots of information, and I was hooked. This course was very interesting and with all of the hands on and having speakers come in and give us real live scenarios of what happens during an event was very informational. My husband and I are going to open a Wedding Venue in the Fall of this year.

I’m planning a Green Eco Friendly Wedding for 175 people for a budget of $23,000.00. My first thought of planning this wedding was like “ummm, ok, how do I start, then I realized, hello, this is what we’ve been learning all this time”. So, my planning started with the A8 formula. It was a little bit easier than I thought it would be. It was time consuming, but well worth it. It has step by step instructions and easy to follow. I’ve incorporated all that I have learned throughout the last 8 weeks.  I hope ya’ll enjoy what I have planned.
