Grand Opening- CWEP Project 3

Posted By Karr Stewart, Thursday, May 18, 2017

My name is Karr Stewart  The Event Diva Weddings & Events Grand Opening! New Local, Certified Wedding and Event Planner Will Help Brides Add That Special Touch in Creating Their Dream Wedding.
Irving, TX---March 08, 2017—The Event Diva Weddings and Events, an up and coming wedding and event planning business, is announcing their grand opening with an Open House for newly engaged couples. An exciting evening of hor d’oeuvres, cocktails and fun is scheduled to give brides ideas to help them plan one of the most magical days of their life.

Experience: My overall experience was great! I learned  lot about the different styles of events, weddings and cultures. I especially enjoyed the guest speakers weekly that's currently working in the industry. They gave a lot of great insight on what they do i.e photography, DJ etc... the pros/cons do/don'ts. My teacher Cheryl Allgood was extremely helpful and very informative. Being an event planner herself, she was able to help guide the class as to how a planner actually conduct business and aligned her experiences with our textbooks. This overall help the class put a lot of things in perspective.

Hello!  My name is Lisa Wells.  I live near Fort Worth, TX.  The last 10 years I worked in the mortgage industry, but was recently laid off, thus my foray into what I've always wanted to do.  I am currently working part-time assisting a wedding planner and a caterer, getting more hands on experience.  I am still deciding if I want to work for a company doing event planning or if I want to start my own business at this time.  However, future goal is to for sure own my own business. This course and project has been quite the challenge.  It's more work than I expected, but I love the challenge!  I chose to plan a wedding with a modest budget, being forced to think even more creatively and outside the box.  Thank you!

My business is intended to help all those people out there that want to have an event, but they don't have the time to work on it or simply don't want to go thru all that major work that planning an event takes. I am very fashionable and always looking out for the new trend. This project was very challenging, but it help me understand more in depth how detail oriented one needs to be in order to obtain success and have happy clients.

My name is Frishta Akbar. I am going to start my own business, named galaxy decoration weddings and event will be hosting Garand opting at san Ramon. We are welcoming to potential clients and vendors My experience about this project is that now I can say with confident that I am able to start my own business. this project taught me how grand opening work, about how to start a new and first business. My project is about a wedding event that has happened already I was a part of decorating the hall. It was little bit different from other weddings because it was to combine two cultures ceremony, which was an awesome experience.

My name is Frishta akbar, currently studding at city college of san Francisco being certify as a wedding

Planner. My experience as a wedding planner taught me that leadership plays an important rule

And I also learned that the vendor has an important role in the project, for example if they do something

Wrong and fail I will fail too. It is also important to be successful enough to make my clients satisfied.

KM Weddings & Events will be hosting a grand opening at Stirr in Dallas. We will be taking over the rooftop patio with Muffins & Mimosas. This event will be a meet and greet. We are welcoming to potential clients and vendors. There is parking in the back of the local for free. We are very excited to meet everyone. As you come on the rooftop we will have pink, gray and white paper lamps. We will also have short square vases with white roses in them. There will be about 10 tables. We will also have seating at the bar and will be putting 5-4 flowers along side. Since this is a meet and greet we are wanting to engage with our clients and vendors to gain their trust, therefore seating will be limited. When you walk in the door we ask that you put your name, number and email address on a ticket and it will be entered in a drawing! Whom ever wins will get 1 free consultation along with 50% off their first service.

My Experience

Posted By Timia Bell, Saturday, May 13, 2017

My experience as a student of lovegevity has been rocky. There was a lot of work and research. At a time it was kind of overwhelming. When I really looked at everything I was doing it all started to come together. With the work, podcast, projects, etc. I received a lot of information from things like starting a business, different cultures, how to save client's money, making package plans, and so much more. All the information was very helpful and I will be using most it in my business. With this experience I have a better understanding on planning. I am glad I took this course it was a lot of help.

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Lisa Sanchez, Friday, May 12, 2017

My name is Lisa Sanchez, I’m from Ft. Worth Texas. I graduated in 2013 with a Bachelors in Criminal Justice. I’m currently an Office Manager for an Orthopedic Surgeon. I was at Bridal Shows Inc., with my husband and a friend back in February of 2017, when we came across a booth from TCC. We walked up and we were immediately greeted by two professional women who gave us lots of information, and I was hooked. This course was very interesting and with all of the hands on and having speakers come in and give us real live scenarios of what happens during an event was very informational. My husband and I are going to open a Wedding Venue in the Fall of this year.

I’m planning a Green Eco Friendly Wedding for 175 people for a budget of $23,000.00. My first thought of planning this wedding was like “ummm, ok, how do I start, then I realized, hello, this is what we’ve been learning all this time”. So, my planning started with the A8 formula. It was a little bit easier than I thought it would be. It was time consuming, but well worth it. It has step by step instructions and easy to follow. I’ve incorporated all that I have learned throughout the last 8 weeks.  I hope ya’ll enjoy what I have planned.

I'm Jennifer from Detroit, MI. I am currently in the medical field but when I came across this course it really spoke to me. I've always enjoyed planning birthday parties and social events at work. So far in this course, I've learned so much. It's amazing all the behind the scenes that happens. I had so much doing this project. The color scheme that was chosen was incredible and so pretty. You will find the mood board attached to get an idea of how the wedding would look. Enjoy!

CWEP - Project 1

Posted By Tanya Williams, Wednesday, May 10, 2017

My name is Tanya Williams and I am from Massachusetts. I graduated college in 2016 with a major in Communication and a focus on marketing. After six months at a marketing job that I was extremely unhappy at, I decided it was time for me to follow my real dream- to be apart of the wedding industry – specifically wedding planning. As I make my way through this course and aim to finish in a little over a month, my next goal is to land a job at a local wedding venue or event company. I would love to start out as an assistant event planner to give myself hands on experience and learn from a true professional. In a couple years I would love to branch off and begin running my own wedding planning company to create events that I have always dreamed of.

This is my first project for the Wedding and Event Planning Course. I incorporate all the elements I have learned up to this point. The A8 formula is laid out visually to help the couple grasp the feel of their wedding. There is a day of time line, a musical timeline, and a budget sheet with prices from local vendors to help the couple get all the information necessary to make informed decisions going forward with planning. I highlighted the couple’s preference for a wedding with a rustic yet natural theme. Throughout the project I tied in natural elements from the color hues to the favors all located at a quaint farmhouse.

“Our mission is simple: we work to create memorable events for our clients and to make the process pleasant and stress-free.” Brandy said “We offer a variety of options to assist in making our clients wedding as perfect as they can imagine.”

Please contact Brandy Rose July Events at 972-677-3093 to begin planning your next affair.

Let Brandy Rose July Events plan your next event. Whether you need assistance planning a shower, cocktail party, holiday gathering, traditional tea, simply writing the perfect toast or remarks, our team can provide you with the guidance and coordination you are looking for!

My Experience:

Becoming a Certified Wedding and Event Planner has been a lot of work and research but I'm loving every minute of it.  I've learned a ton about wedding planning and starting a business.  I've pushed myself to really sit down and think about the long terms goals I have and to set some new goals.

I started the 12 week Certified Wedding and Event Planner class through Collin College in February.  It will conclude in mid-May.  The last project for my class is to plan a Grand Opening/Launch Party for my business!  It's been fun creating all the details for the party.  I am planning on having this party in October, later this year.

Intro:

My grand opening event will be called a Launch Party.  I will market it using social media and printed invitations.  I will send out Save the Dates electronically and by USPS mail.  I will invite friends, family, coworkers, and vendors.

I am hoping to find a venue that will give me a discount in exchange for promoting their business on the invitations, my social media posts/blog and copies of some of the pictures taken at the event.

The event will be in early October so I will use my jewel tone brand colors to decorate the event.

The Lucky One CWEP project 3

Posted By tiffany dovel, Tuesday, May 9, 2017

The lucky One's  mission is to provide you the very best service and care. We want to take your vision and turn it into something you never thought would be possible. We want your experience with us to be one that you, your family & friends will remember for a lifetime. When the ceremony doors open, we want you to see an outer beauty explosion of delights that are waiting for you.

I think this was the hardest project of all 3, but it did teach me how prepared i need to be if i am going to open my own business.  The atmosphere is green, black and white Damask & stripes print. There will be several kinds of different food and cake and plenty of vendors to choose from, when needing to make a decision as to who to use for your wedding. I like to be a one stop shop to save my customers the hassle of looking around, when i can just bring them to my office at one time.
