My Lovegevity Experience

Posted By Rebecca M. Inderhees, Monday, April 17, 2017
My experience with Lovegevity has been an interesting one. Having been in the industry for almost 2 years now, a lot of the information was outdated or irrelevant. I'm very blessed to be working with a company of women who value education and training in the events industry. There were a lot of unique and interesting tips and tricks that I will be taking back to my own work. Overall, the course was informative and I found it to be beneficial toward my future as an event planner!

Project 3- Grand Opening

Posted By Danielle More, Monday, April 17, 2017
Updated: Monday, April 17, 2017

Danielle More opens Dream Big Wedding & Events to South Jersey! Dream Big Wedding and Events will be introduced for the first time in New Jersey.

I have had a great experience in this course. I did struggle at times to make sure everything got completed, but I have enjoyed this course. It has taught me so much and wedding and event planning and what I hope for in my future. This project was extremely overwhelming at first, but once I figured out my theme I was able to keep going!

This grand opening of Dream Big Wedding & Events will be taking place at Ramblewood Country Club in New Jersey. The theme is brunch and bubbly. The guests will have a beautiful view of the golf course!

I have enjoyed this entire course and I am so excited for what is next!

PROJECT 1: PLAN A SOCIAL EVENT/WEDDING

Posted By Samantha N. Ferazzoli, Monday, April 17, 2017
Updated: Monday, April 17, 2017

 #CWEP #Project1

Hello everyone!

I really enjoyed this assignment! Putting together Vince and Victoria's wedding was extremely fun! For this assignment I chose a fall-themed wedding. The color scheme is Navy Blue and Gold! The wedding is an indoor event, and the entertainment is outstanding! They had a large budget making it very easy to work within! Going below budget to plan the event, and getting everything they wanted! I would say that is a success!

Project #1

Posted By Iris Garcia, Monday, April 17, 2017
My name is Iris Garcia and I am from Cypress, CA and I Have 2 kids 15 year old daughter and 9 year old son. I have honestly gone through so much training's in my work and school profession that through all of it, I have a passion for this career of event and wedding planning. This is so new to me since I have worked in Mental health and Law Enforcement that I am so use to black and white and crisis that I can honestly say that I am very nervous to changing careers at 31 and doing something completely different. I haven't yet had a taste of this course of really been too involved with this course because I don't have my books yet since I am short money but I still have may motivation and I will get there. I love how everyone is so motivated and we have internships available to apply for. I am looking forward in creating a new career to build my business one day.

Project #1

I am submitting the finished wedding plan for project 1. I planned Kate & Ryan’s September wedding in 2018. They both work in the arts and dreamt of an old Hollywood art deco theme. Due to Kate and Ryan's love for the arts, I chose to put a modern twist on the old Hollywood glam look and feel with a hint of sparkle, simple flowers and elegant lighting. I enjoyed all the hard work that went into this first project. I loved that I could build out the tiniest of details and big ideas for so plan parts of the wedding day. Now that I have this experience I feel that I can apply the A8 so easily! I love that I have this advantage and have a great case study for clients!

Project 3

Posted By Tammy Lam, Saturday, April 15, 2017
Updated: Wednesday, April 19, 2017

Hi my name is Tammy and I thought this project was pretty difficult since I was not ready to start my own business yet. I guess this project helps me think of the future and a push start on how to be my own boss.

The grand opening A6/8 presentation is modern and chic. Events by Tammy will send out a formal paper invitation to previous networking vendors, venues, and potential clients 4 weeks before the grand opening. The grand opening is open to the public and will be announced via Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and through press release via local newspapers. Guests can purchase $5 raffle tickets to enter to win a grand prize of full service, partial service, or day of service wedding package.

50% is going to the Reef Check Foundation. All of the vendors that are joining us at our event is also donating $5.00 for every booking they get. The first 25 guests who arrived gets a free Vendor portfolio, demos, and product displays. We thank the guests by giving out a free goodie bag, filled with candies, pen and a notepad, and stickers. The night will begin with some fun games to get to know some local vendors. There will be door prizes. All guests will get to enjoy some wine, cocktails, and hor d'oeuvres while they mingle. There will be 3 speakers to give out informational sessions for both clients and vendors.

Please check out my website below for the project.

My Experience with LWPI

Posted By Rossana Quiroz, Saturday, April 15, 2017

For the past 11 years I have dedicated my life to my family. I have loved every single moment. Specially when birthdays approached, and when you have 4 little ones the year has many events!

Now, when faced with some life changes, I had to think of a way to provide for my family. Talking to a friend, she pointed out that I should look into event planning. So I did, but wasn't quite sure if that was the right path. Then my cousin called me and spoke so happily and greatly about this course, that i jumped in!

Honestly, at times I felt overwhelmed with trying to manage the kids and the course. It wasn't easy. However, now that I am at the end, and yet the beginning of this new journey, I don't think the rewards would be as great if it had been an easy path.

I am so thankful to LWPI for giving me the tools needed to embark on this new journey in my life. In which I have not only acquired the knowledge to succeed in this wonderful career, but as well the friendship of incredibly amazing and wonderful ladies.

Wishing to you all happy and prosperous planning!!!

My experience with Lovegevity

Posted By tiffany dovel, Friday, April 14, 2017
My experience with Lovegevity at Collin county community college was a little rocky in the very beginning due to issues with the teacher. The new teacher we have now is very informative. The class has taught me how to pull all my ideas together to create beautiful events and weddings for people. I learned a lot about what i should be charging people. If i didn't go to this class i would probably be doing weddings for $50. The class taught me proper etiquette, the timelines to which the wedding day should follow, what are the roles and responsibilities of everybody in the wedding party. I had no idea of all of the roles everybody played. Things are totally different when you see what its like on the other side of the line. Being a guest you don't know or realize that everybody has a check list of things they have to do. I love this class, and i cannot wait to get out and show everybody what i have learned. Thank you Lovegevity!!!

Brad is a business owner of a local restaurantand his soon to be wife Michelle is a out of town school teacher. Both were born and raised in New Orleansand wanted a Mardi Gras themed wedding. With colors of green, purple, and gold. There very traditional so they asked for a live second line band with a horse drawn carriage. So once the ceremony is over they could follow the couple to the reception venue. Where there will be more live entertainment and they will have a southern seafood boil served with great sides. The couple was pleased with my work and says they plan on working with me in the near future.

My Experience!

Posted By Kimberly Bolus, Thursday, April 13, 2017

My experience with CWEP has been very rewarding. I've learned so many things.  Some of these things I was aware of and a lot of things were new to me.  I really feel this course has given me the necessary tools to be very successful as an Event Planner.  I've always love to be a leader and take charge when organizing things or events.  This genre is right up my alley.  I am so grateful for stumbling across this course and being able to take advantage of this opportunity.

I am so excited and ready to dive into the world of Event Planning.

Much success to all students!!

How did I entered to the world of Wedding planner

Posted By Joyce Arrieta Sierra, Thursday, April 13, 2017

How did I entered to the world of Wedding planner:

In January 2016 I stared to plan my wedding, I Iive in Miami and my wedding was a Wedding Destination in Colombia. I thought it was gonna be easy to do it by myself and with a little help of my mom and my cousin, but it was not. After two weeks “planning” I didn’t even know from where to start so it was when I decided to find a Wedding planner. After a few interviews with different planners I found Claudia from Cuento de Hadas. We had an incredible connection, she really understood how did I wanted my dreamed day and gave the tools of how we were gonna work. That day was the beginning of a process that last 10 months. It was an impeccable coordination.

I realized that being a wedding planner is based on an organization chart, they have to make your ideas a reality within the budget you have. The selection of the right vendors is an indispensable tool in the process. So I identified myself with this profession, because it is a profession that requires a lot of organization, requires too much responsibility and is one of the more successful professions although at the same time one of the most time demanding.

Long story short Claudia had plans to move to Miami so we decided to be the fairies in Miami for all the princess that want her big day to be a tale.

Posted By Elda Gabriela G. Jurado, Thursday, April 13, 2017

Hi all,

This project has been really challenging. It is difficult to me understand all the taskes and instructions so it took much longer than a thought to finish the project, but I am learning so much that I just can´t stop trying. This creating event has been so fun and all the research that I had to do, and still doing it is so valuable. I never thought that coordinante and event can be so extended.

Warmest Regards,

Project 2: Selling your services

Posted By Melissa A. Talavera, Thursday, April 13, 2017

Project 2 was a challenge nonetheless a great and much needed learning experience.  Extensive research was put in place in order to know what kind of contract, packages and prices you will provide to your potential client. It was great to get a feel on the services you would like to provide and the requirements needed in order to run your business.

Our goal at Events with Love is to help style, guide and plan towards your perfect memories through the love we have for every event. No matter how moderate or luxurious the occasion it will be treated with love!

Looking forward to the future!

My Experience as a Lovegevity Student

Posted By Lauren Grzymala, Wednesday, April 12, 2017

I can remember being a senior in high school, not really having any clue what I wanted to do with my career. I selected a local college, majoring in Criminal Justice and minoring in Spanish. I woke up for my classes every day, never really feeling motivated or interested in the material I was learning. After a year and a half in a major I hated, I decided I should take a break from college to focus on my work experience, and to figure out my passions. It didn't take long for me to figure out how much I loved working with people, and through planning my own wedding, the events leading up to it, and other parties for family and friends, I discovered my true passion was in wedding and event planning. I researched schools and programs endlessly, wanting to ensure I chose the perfect one to give me an edge in the industry.

I was reading a blog about the topic when I came across the link for The Wedding Planning Institute by Lovegevity. After yet more research, and with the guiding and supportive hand of my husband, I enrolled in the courses with Lovegevity, and I can honestly say I could not have made a better decision with where to further my education. Lovegevity gave me so much more than just the knowledge of the industry. I wasn't just majoring in Wedding and Event Planning; I also majored in Social Media Marketing, Business, and even got a glance into Legal processes. This program has already given me an edge unlike any other, at a time where there is an amazing market opportunity for my business.

If you would have told me three years ago that I would be getting my certification in Wedding and Event Planning and starting my own business, I would have walked away in disbelief. Now, I have the strength, confidence, and knowledge to take me further than I ever would have dreamed, in a field I could not be more passionate or in love with. Thank you, Lovegevity, for helping me find my way when I had no direction, and for giving me the knowledge and skills to build my dream career!

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Emily r. Philllips, Wednesday, April 12, 2017
Updated: Wednesday, April 12, 2017
For this mood board I choose a Plantation Garden Museum locally.  romantic garden wedding theme is the perfect way to incorporate all the beautiful florals for a lovely June wedding.  Soft pink roses cascade throughout the wedding theme including the boutonniere, invitations, and arrangements throughout the walking paths.  The candles also giving a soft glow of elegance.  Sticking with the simple yet elegant feel for the atmosphere I included a lemonade stand and a dollar dance to be completed by the musical accompaniment of a string quartet.  The Bride is wearing a stunning A-line/Princess sweetheart halter sweep train tulle dress with ruffle applique lace.
