CWEP Project 1

Posted By Brandy July, Thursday, February 23, 2017

Attached is my CWEP Assignment 1.3.  I definitely enjoyed learning to use Canva.  I know I will be using it for other projects in the future!

My favorite color is purple so I couldn't help choosing it as one of my color inspirations.  I did some research on 2017 wedding trends so I tried to incorporate a few of them.  My couple, Sarah and Blaine will be getting married at the Arboretum in the fall.  We will have succulents of varying colors throughout the ceremony and reception.  We will use Copper to add some bling here and there.  We will have several food and drink stations through out the reception with bite size snacks and custom cocktails.  They have chosen to have a naked cake. We will have a DJ to provide dance music and a light show.  The favors will be small succulents in copper cups for everyone to take home.

Objective 1.3

Posted By Cheric Vigeant, Thursday, February 23, 2017
Updated: Thursday, February 23, 2017
I had so much fun learning about Canva and being able to show my clients a variety of looks and inspirations.  My inspiration for this, comes from a couple whom met on a vineyard tasting and had such a rich connection with each other.  7 months had past when Danny realized he couldn't imagine his life without Riley in it and just had to take the next step.  Being able to help this beautiful couple create that special bond they have together with their closest family and friends is the reason I became a wedding planner.  Memories last a lifetime and I am so glad I am able to help couples share and create this special occasion.

Project 1

Posted By Yvette M. Pacheco, Wednesday, February 22, 2017
I did not choose a wedding because I feel like that wouldn't have been challenging enough for me. I decided to go with a bat mitzvah for project 1. Boy was I challenged! Mitzvah's do not just go straight through with the A6/A8. They are such big events that some of the steps get repeated. I was also a great learning experience, especially dealing with another culture. I was definitely fun and I hope to plan an actual mitzvah in the future.

Coure Obj 1.3 Assignment

Posted By Jessica Robinson, Wednesday, February 22, 2017
Attached is my assignment 1.3 overviewing the A8s to my perfect wedding. I had the pleasure of retaining "designer wedding" clients who happily spared no expense. The bride was draped in lace and jewels by Vera Wang, and the groom wore a luxury wedding tux from The Black Tux. Their guests were chauffeured from the venue to the reception hall in Black SUV stretch limos where they arrived to enjoy a surf and turf dinner, followed by a luxurious 4-tier wedding cake and champagne. Everyone was entertained by a live jazz band consisting of a soloist, violinist, guitarist, drummer and pianist. Once the night concluded, the guests were given individual wedding themed wine bottles as a keepsake to enjoy at their discretion.  The wedding started at 11am, and the evening conluded around 6pm where the couple was formally seen off to enjoy their 7-day honeymoon in Bora Bora. This was a fun start to Project 1! :)

Project 1 was a very enjoyable experience.  Being able to create my dream wedding using my imagination, creativity and an unlimited budget.  Who wouldn't enjoy that?  My wedding was set on a farm, it was romantic, elegant and fun.

Project 1

Posted By Carolina Abbinanti, Tuesday, February 21, 2017

Project 1: Plan a social Event or Wedding was amazing! I planned a Latino wedding and it was so much fun to develop the design, gathered ideas for each A8 and being able to show my project to my classmates and teacher.

This project will show the story of Ximena and Martin, they got engaged on the beautiful Odyssey Cruise in Chicago and the fun process of planning their September 3rd 2017 wedding began. They had something very clear; they wanted a simple and relaxed Latino Wedding. The first step to making this wedding relaxed was finding a venue that allowed Ximena and Martin to have both the Ceremony and Reception at the same location. We researched several venues and finally decided on Room 1520.  For the theme, we developed an idea to incorporate the 2017 color of the year, which is Greenery, mixed with blush and white as well as gold colors for the accents.

This wedding is destined to be an unforgettable, mixed culture evening!

CWEP Assignment 1.3

Updated: Tuesday, February 21, 2017

Attached is my CWEP Assignment 1.3.  Really enjoyed exploring Canva and developing my first mood board.  I've been using Pinterest for a while and always wanted to create inspiration collages - just wasn't sure what the best program to use was.  Am so excited to discover Canva for doing this and look forward to creating my own collage pins.  My inspiration for the board was an elegant evening wedding - possibly even on New Year's Eve - featuring black, silver and gold.  Looking forward to expanding on this board for a future wedding and hope it continues to inspire me to create beautiful events!

SELLING YOUR SERVICES:PROJECT 2

My name is Nazaret and I'm a 29 year old stay-at-home mom to two little girls and military wife.My little family and I live in Northern California with our 2 pets,Sasha and Oreo.

This project was intense,it took me a while to put everything together and finish it.It was a lot of thinking since I didn't want the information to be used just for a project but for my future business.I hadn't saved the assignments included in this project like the bridal shower ideas so I had to start over on that but I'm happy with the result.I can't wait to start using these documents in real life.I also loved looking at other students' projects and logos, helped me to get an idea of what I wanted mine to look like and to make it different.

Initial Design Process

Posted By Kate Clayton, Monday, February 20, 2017

Developing the basic design ideas for a client can be a very challenging and daunting experience!  Through Project 1 for Lovegevity Institute, I learned numerous ways to approach wedding and event design.  To start, it is crucial to understand the bride's thoughts and ideas for her wedding.  This needs to be done through not only a bridal questionnaire but also with a face to face meeting.  From there, Pinterest boards are a great way to help the bride see the design vision.  This needs to be done through A8 design in order to make sure all aspects of the wedding are designed.  From there, if you want to truly impress your client, developing a personalized wedding webpage to deliver these ideas is great.

Project 1

Posted By Patrice Muhlenfeld, Monday, February 20, 2017

Sarah and Keith are to be wed on 6-3-18 in Chicago, Illinois.  They met and fell in love while in college at University of Chicago, where they received their MD degrees. The bride loves all things Disney, but as new doctors beginning their practice, they are unable to coordinate their schedule to be married at the Disney Wedding Chapel in Orlando.  So Sarah wants to bring the Disney experience to Chicago.  Her dream wedding is a ceremony at the University of Chicago’s Rockefeller Chapel, arriving in a Cinderella coach pulled by horses, wearing a beautiful ball gown of French Lace cascading down her cathedral train, and dancing the night away in a grand ballroom, befitting of a Princess. And best of all, she has her Prince Charming with whom to share the wonderful day and the rest of her life, happily ever after.

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Annabel Nygaard-Knaub, Monday, February 20, 2017
I had so much fun researching for this project.  Its funny how one idea can change into something completely different in the End.  For my first project I have "meet" Jack and Gracie Smith that would like the wedding of their dreams.  Jack and Gracie where married 40 years ago (1977) and never had the appropriate time or funds to have the party they wanted.  A few things where a must; soft romantic colors (coral, pink, tan and brown), live music, and their two children (Joy and Greg) to be a part of their special day.  They have a budget of 55.000 and many ideas were thrown around but I feel that I have been able to weed through a lot of them and found the perfect plan.  Lets hope the Smiths' think so too!

Project 1 was a very enjoyable project for me and allowed me to use my creative side to complete this design.  I decided to do a rustic wedding theme and incorporate peach colors, maroon colors, and pastels.  I used a rustic theme throughout, but also kept it very elegant.  I am excited to see the next event design I complete since I enjoyed seeing this one come to life so much. #CWEP #Project1

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Annabel Nygaard-Knaub, Thursday, February 16, 2017
Project 1 is a renewal ceremony; our couple is in their late 50's and have two children they want to stand up in the weeding.  Jack and Gracie are also vegan and it was important that all of our vendors be animal friendly, and yet at the same time seem very laid back. As you can see from the mood board one idea Gracie had was to give away small potted plant to her guests as a way to give back to the planet.  Their budget is 45,000 and their colors are coral and brown tones. Very excited to give this couple their long waited dream wedding!

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Sandi L. Vargas, Tuesday, February 14, 2017

This project started out a bit difficult as I was not sure what was Canva, as I proceeded it became more enjoyable.

My choice of an early summer wedding with a blush color is a perfect setting for a couple who is taking that next step in their lives together and loves the long bright evenings of the east coast. The weather will be perfect for them to share their memorable day with their family and friends worshiping, dining and dancing. I hope I have displayed a great mood setting.

And just like that, I completed my first CWEP Project! Yay me! During this project I learned so much! Who new Canva existed! I was able to create my first mood board and am totally happy with it. My mood board consists of a New Years themed wedding. I am crazy about the idea of being able to share such an emotional night with your fiancé and husband at the same time. Bringing in the New Year just like it's supposed to be. The colors I focused on were glittery gold black and white with a true princess gown for the Bride.  A true fairy tale wedding.

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Shumaila Bana, Monday, February 13, 2017

I really enjoyed brainstorming about what would a wedding look like in the winter time. I wanted to come up with ideas for a season when weddings are not as popular, just so I can be prepared. I also wanted to show that winter weddings can also look absolutely beautiful! The theme of my mood board is Winter Vintage using deep reds, cream and golds.

I would love everyone's feedback!

CWEP Project 1

Project 1 was pretty interesting. I became familiar with a new program as I have never used Canva before. Amazing!!! Now am able to create mood boards for my clients which is huge when you want to cluster a few pins with the same theme instead of separate photos. I like how this is a visual to my vision for my client's wedding. Initial look, complete!!!

Project 1

Posted By Lauren Grzymala, Friday, February 10, 2017

Hi everyone!

Well, it took some time, but I FINALLY finished project 1! It was a big task, but I can honestly say I enjoyed every second of making it come together. After going through the full project, I have a better appreciation for the career I will be stepping into, hopefully in not too long. I really put a lot of time and thought behind this project because I really want to put everything into perspective for myself, but also challenge myself to be more creative and unique in what I plan. I appreciate any feedback y'all have to offer!

Thank you!

Assignment 18.6, I can't believe its almost over.

Posted By Tiffany Wildermuth, Thursday, February 9, 2017

Wow. Im on assignment 18.6. One of the final assignments until i take my certification exam. I can't believe its almost over! I feel like I just started. The course overall has been so great and helpful. Ive learned a lot about making my own web pages and marketing myself. Things that I wouldn't have even thought about before taking this course. There of course were some things that weren't exactly my "cup of tea" all of the affiliated websites got repetitive. I loved the Podcasts. They were really helpful actually hearing a wedding planner talk about what she does to make things work for her. Thank you so much lovegevity! Now I just can't wait to make all my dream come true!
