Our mission at Lyla B. Occasions & Design House is to keep an open mind, think outside the box and to create an event that will highlight the client’s best attributes and showcase their personal style with class. Our aim is to build a relationship of trust and reliability to a level where our brides have the peace of mind in all aspects of their wedding planning and let us help you create the memories they will forever cherish.

Lyla B. Occasions & Design House caters to all event sizes and budget, where it is big or small, we bring our best to the table each and every time. We love planning beautiful moments, so we also carry extensive knowledge and expertise in a variety of different cultural weddings and events. We believe in keeping an open mind and welcome couples from all different paths this life has to offer.

My goal in the next year is to do 7-13 weddings including non-wedding events as well. During this initial year I  will be working out of a home office and utilize friends and family to assist at events during this first phase. I will also include additional fun design services and will be in the process of personalizing a few signature designs.

In 5 years, I plan on doing 20 + weddings per year with at least 5-10 non-wedding events included. At this point I will also have serval signature and copy written invitation and customized wedding gift options available exclusively for my clients. At this point I will also have an office space where I will be working out of. I will have a full staff of interns and assistants to help make all events successful.

My 10 year goal is to have a fully fictional website with an online story for my signature craft designs for everyone to take advantage of. I will also have a full in office staff of lead coordinators and designers to take full control of the numerous events that I’ll book on a yearly basis. They will also be trained in creating custom crafts for our company’s online store. The staff will be fully capable of planning all events with little direction while I work on gaining new business and further building my brand.

At Lyla B. Occasions & Design House, we aim to personalize and help make your unique dream come true!

I highly enjoyed this assignment! I was able to utilize my vision and creativity to create my couples rustic elegant themed wedding. It was also a helpful yet fun way to remember the A6 formula.

My experience with Lovegevity: 18.6

Posted By Rebecca Favela, Wednesday, March 15, 2017

My experience with Lovegevity has honestly been overwhelming at times, but it has been so much fun and I have learned a lot. I didn't have much experience with planning events before this; I am a behavioral health specialist, but I am really passionate about weddings so I decided to take this class and I am so happy that I did. Desiree is such a great instructor, and she makes everyone in class feel so comfortable to ask questions, and ask for help with assignments and her experience leads to great stories and tips for being in this business. The assignments were time consuming, but a ton of fun to work on, and they honestly help me feel prepared to embark on this journey of starting my own business! I am very excited, and Triton College offers a great opportunity that I'm grateful to have found out about. I can't wait for this to turn from a passion into a business and be able to share my passion with all kinds of couples.

This project was very time consuming, but I really enjoyed doing it. I had so much fun through out the whole course. I really can't believe that I am almost done and I am almost a certified wedding and event planner. This has definitely taught me all the tools I need to start my business and announce my grand opening. I am excited and looking forward to using all the information I have learned through out this course in my future business.

Ida Mae Events and Celebrations focuses on three simple priorities client satisfaction, support of local, reputable businesses and providing every client with friendly, upbeat and licensed planners. Ida Mae Events and Celebrations, invites you to let us help guide, direct or plan your next party.

Ida Mae Events and Celebrations was named after my late Mother, Angel Ida Mae. Completing this project I thought about her a lot, since she taught me how to be hospitable at any event. Overall I hope you enjoyed completing this project as much as me.

For this project I chose a spring rustic wedding. It seems everywhere I turn there is someone incorporating the rustic wedding theme. I think rustic weddings are enchanting and timeless. There is so many avenues you can take your creativity when planning a rustic wedding.

Experience with Lovegevity 18.6

Posted By Yolanda S. Allen (Johnson), Monday, March 13, 2017

My experience with Lovegevity University has been amazing. I have been in the event planning business for over 15 years and I have gained so much knowledge about the industry. Although I was a little worried about taking the class online at first and not getting that face to face contact, the instructors and advisers have been so helpful. Anytime I have a question or not sure about something they always get back with me with a quick response. I have to say Niangi, give Lovegevity a great look for the school. She was so helpful from the beginning and still now. I just can't thank her enough. I also enjoy the online discussions . They are very informative and they are real life situations they we deal with . Thank you so much Lovegevity for everything.

I enjoyed putting together this project to allow my creativity to shine. I went with a tiffany blue wedding, as it's such a pretty color to do a lot with. I also did a game night theme because the couple met though game night. This project also helped me find local vendors within my area.

Assignment 1.3 Mood Board

Posted By Rossana Quiroz, Monday, March 13, 2017
This is the mood board for the weeding project. My couple chose a fall wedding with the ceremony held at a church and an outdoor reception. Due to their love of reading, the couple decided to make it their wedding theme. Their romantic, bohemian characters were the inspiration for this mood board. They also hope to inspire people to pick up a good book and fall in love with reading! I really had a great time putting this board together. I hope you enjoy it!

CWEP - PROJECT 1 - PLAN AN EVENT OR WEDDING

Posted By Sandi L. Vargas, Sunday, March 12, 2017
Updated: Sunday, March 12, 2017

Hi Everyone!

My couple chose a summer wedding fill with Romance and Glam!  They chose to have a church ceremony with a reception following at a beautiful wedding venue in their area. The music is a mixture of steel drums and a DJ playing the couple's favorite choice of music. The couple will have rooms blocked out at a neighborhood hotel for their out of town guests. Before the reception ends the couple will exit; jetting off to their romantic honeymoon. The wedding cost was within the couples budget.

I hope  my presentation will show as I planned as I am having problems uploading it. I had to changed from Power Point to a PDF file.

Thanks

Sandi

My Experience with Lovegevity University

Posted By Destiny Bachman, Saturday, March 11, 2017
My experience was challenging, with going to school and working and doing this online course was very hard for me to accomplish. But I have learned a lot throughout the course everything that actually goes into wedding planning. I learned about the A'8s formula and how useful that can be in the process of planning a wedding. The projects and the assignments were a little un clear to me and seemed like it could've been set up better then it is. Other then the small confusing parts I learned a lot and I will use this in my future career and help guide me into the planning business.

I'm learning so much with this project! It is really fun planning Chloe and Matt's pretend wedding.  They've chosen a Great Gatsby inspired evening wedding. I hope my mood board truly captures the old hollywood feel that we're creating.
