CWEP Project 1

Posted By Jenna Tufarolo, Tuesday, January 15, 2019

Hello, my name is Jenna Tufarolo. I am from a Woodbridge, Virginia, just an hour outside of the D.C. area. I am currently a recent graduate from Old Dominion University, with a bachelor’s degree in Park, Recreation, and Tourism Studies with a concentration in Tourism Management. I have completed two internships with various event companies which sparked my love for event planner, which is what made me want to get my Wedding and Event Planning Certification.  My goal is to open up my own company to plan wedding and social events in the northern Virginia area.

I started this course this past week and just getting into all the projects and assignments. I spent a lot of time on Pinterest looking for things that inspire me and the vision I had for the wedding. The Project 1 helped be appreciate all the little details and time that truly goes into every event.

The project focus on a couple: Josh and Lauren. They couple met when they were attending college, and both grew up in rural areas. I brought in that aspect by making the wedding outside in a beautiful field, with all the details having a rustic vibe.

The goal of my mood board to show the ideas from the couple’s theme, which is simple elegance with a rustic flair. Hope you all enjoy as much as I did.

CWEP Project 3

Posted By Carrie Hungerpiller, Monday, January 14, 2019

Hello, everyone!

My name is Carrie, and I am from Charleston, SC. I had a wonderful experience designing this project as part of the course. It really taught me how to effectively market not only my grand opening, but my business as a whole. I have attached a mood board to illustrate the overall feel of the event, which will be an afternoon tea style event. We will be having an admissions price of $5.00, as well as a silent auction. 100% of the proceeds from the event will go to the Lowcountry Food Bank of SC, in an effort to give back to the community.

The event will not only serve to promote my business, but the top local vendors in Charleston as well. Gift bags containing brochures and business cards from all vendors in attendance will be given out at the conclusion of the event. Newly engaged couples will be strongly encouraged to attend, and vendors will have an opportunity to network with these couples for the opportunity to gain their business.

I have attached the link to my grand opening website below. Feel free to take a look and let me know what you think!

Xoxo,

Carrie

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Suly Sabina, Sunday, January 13, 2019

Hi Everyone, my name is Suly Sabina and I’m from Miami, Florida. Event planning has been my passion for as long as I can remember. I have planned both of my sister’s weddings along with numerous events for my family, friends, and ex-employers. Everyone has always told me that I should be doing this full-time but something called “fear” would stop me. This year I have decided that I was not going to let fear get in the way of my dreams. Te first step was starting this course, which I am so excited about! I cannot wait to learn from this course and actually start living my dream!

My mood board is based on a Rustic Beach Wedding theme. This is for my friend/co-worker’s wedding in October 2019.

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Lavie Quashie, Saturday, January 12, 2019

Hi Everyone! My name is Lavie and I'm from the New York/New Jersey Area. I'm a Professional Makeup Artist that has been in the beauty business for over 10 years. I've been the makeup artist for several weddings and special events through out my career. Last year I had the opportunity to plan my sister's wedding and my parents anniversary party. Since starting this amazing course I reflected back and critiqued the job I did on my family events.

Working on Project 1 helped me to organize my ideas and display my vision clearly. I'm very excited to see what is next in the course.

In this project my clients want a Valentines Day inspired wedding with 50 of their closest friends and family. The groom proposed to his bride-to-be on that special holiday. The brides favorite color happens to be red and she is wild about leopard print. The couple expressed they wanted their wedding to feel like a fairytale in a castle. The style and flair of the couple influenced me to present this Valentines Day inspired Wedding.

CWP Project 1

Updated: Thursday, January 10, 2019

Hello Everyone -  My name is Rosemary (Ro) McNally.  I am originally from Michigan but have lived in New Jersey for many years. I have also been in "corporate america" for many years, but have always loved to plan events for friends and family. My younger daughter and I have decided to focus on our passion for event planning hence me deciding to enroll in this program. I am really glad that I did. I know it is still early in the coursework, but the information has been great (and eye opening:-)).  This first project is focused on a "Winter Wonderland" wedding in December 2019. The couple shares the joy of the beauty of winter, and is looking to have a wedding of "simple", "modern" "elegance" that celebrates love.

Mood board is attached. Let me know what you think. Looking forward to interacting with all of you!

Posted By Mechelle Newman, Thursday, January 10, 2019

Hello Fellow Planners,

My name is Mechellé Newman and I'm from Los Angeles, CA and have decided to get serious with pursing my career  in the wedding planning industry by taking the this course to prefect my skill and talents for wedding planning and coordinating. I have my Bachelors of Arts in Sociology and initially planned to go to Law School but later discovered that the wedding and event industry is really where my passion was.

I really enjoyed this assignment because it gave my the opportunity and challenge to focus on the details of a potential clients wedding and the important aspects that go into it as well as familiarizing myself with using Canva. My client's wedding theme is an elegant ray of royal blue and gold. It represents class and freshness with a sleek look of royalty and shimmer.

Hello Everyone,

My name is Mette, I'm 40 years old, living in Denmark, Europe and am taking the Wedding Certificate online from here.

Denmark is getting more into organic lifestyle, we love recycling materials like wood and love spending time amongst the nature. In regards to this, I came up with the theme Trees and Harmony.

Olive trees are very beloved in the north of Scandinavia as it brings our thoughts to warmer places, cozyness (hygge) with good wine and good food.

Warm green colors and wood makes this collage a bit of a Greek Style weeding - a wedding in love with nature.

I hope you like it :-)

Hello Everyone! My name is Jennifer Jenkins and I am in awe of this project as it allows us to get started with visualizing our own ideas. I graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelors in Psychology, but I have realized that my true passion was elsewhere and that is here, planning events and weddings! This mood board exhibits a fairytale wedding as I have my first client, George and Samantha, in which they plan on getting married in the year of 2021. It consists of an elegant vibe with of course a royal background. A lot of gold and fairytale additions are included!

CWEP Project 1

Posted By ashlee zoll, Thursday, January 10, 2019

Hello everyone! My name is Ashlee Zoll and I am from Walker, Louisiana. The reason I started this course is because I was recently enrolled in a community college and hated every second of it, my family pushed me to go into a field I had absolute no interest in and so it eventually led to me dropping out. Although I have never planned a party or wedding for a family member or friend, what led me to planning was my creativity and my passion to help others.

My mood board is based off of a coworker who recently got engaged and has been sharing some color ideas she would like for her own wedding. The color she chose is rose gold with all things sparkling. It's like a pink princess dream come true and I absolutely love the colors!

Here is my Pinterest board: https://www.pinterest.com/EAWeddings1/ and the Canva mood board I created.

My mood board is based off my couples wine theme. They want to get married at a Vineyard and use lots of jewel tones for colors. The bride wanted an elegant and sophisticated feel to the wedding and the groom asked for some rustic yet elegant elements. They also wanted wine to be the center of the theme as they both are wine drinkers and lovers.

Hey I am Pinar, from Wedding and Event Planning certificate program. Before i start that project i have no idea about my services, packages or company name. But with enough knowledge and passion you can always make things happen and make them real. Now i exactly know what will be my services and packages and also my company name. Thanks for making this real for me. Also i want to talk about my company a little bit. My company's name will be Fairy Tale Weddings by pinar. And my goal is to make your dreams come true as a fairytale. Everything will be start with a ‘’Once upon a time.. And ends with a ‘’happily ever after’’.I plan for every possible outcome and strive for perfection. For that reason i have some different kind of packages but every package have some common 3 things. Which are; Costumized planning notebook, Provision of a complete emergency kit, Complimentary initial meeting.

Mood board and Pinterest

Posted By Darcy Sinsley, Tuesday, January 8, 2019

Hi!

I just started chapter 1 and I am a bit awkward with the program but know with time I'll learn and it'll get easier.  I am going to do all the objectives so I learn what there is to do in the business.  I am actually Lovegevity alumni.  graduated in 2009 but had small children which took my attention and I didn't have the opportunity to launch my business.  Im excited to refresh my "fire" and dive back into this.  I did my first wedding May 2018 and knew I have more to learn.

I created a mood board using my daughter's wedding.

I also have my business facebook page as well https://www.facebook.com/Treasured-Memories-Events-458468650842205/

Just started learning Instragram.  Thankfully I have 2 kids along with nieces and nephews to help me

Looking forward to getting to know you and learning your projects through you

This project was cool and fun because it was fun creating something uniquely your own with a signature style that no one else can replicate. This project is the prototype of what my future business will look lke i.e. types of events and services. If you are going to do something, do it big I say. These are my ideas of what my future grand opening will look like.

Project #1

Posted By sandra Alonso Rivas, Monday, January 7, 2019

Hi everyone, my name is Sandra Alonso, I am from Spain but I spend around half of the year in Florida. Before I started this course I studied Hospitality for 6 years (4 in Spain and 2 in Iowa). I decide to study this because i really love everything that surrounds a wedding and I am always looking for the tv programs about wedding planning, bride dresses or anything related to weddings; I also wanted to take a new path in the hospitality industry to open new possibilities for my future.

It is been only 1/3 of the course but I'm really excited about what is coming and what I already did. This project feels like it took so long to have it done but I am satisfied with the result and I didn't mind at all to spend that much time to finish it.

This project gives a general idea about wedding planning, with some details about every part/step to plan a wedding. It has an informal appearance as the style of the wedding as well as everything is designed into the colors palette chosen.

Project 3

Posted By Jennifer Nunez, Saturday, January 5, 2019
Hello everyone, Jennifer Nunez here again. I completed project 3. I really enjoyed putting this project together, because it's fun creating something that's not there yet but at least there's an idea on what you would like to do. This project shows at least an image of what type of events I'll like to do. Which was very interesting to me because I never knew I would like something elegant or big and nice but I really enjoyed this. This is my idea of how ill have my grand opening.

Hello everyone, my name is Jennifer Nunez. So here I completed project 2, which was kind of challenging and fun because there's lots of things you need to think about when opening a new business. In doing this project I discovered a lot of things about myself for example on the type of services I want to offer and the type of people I want to work with. So I hope you enjoy what I have to offer and I'm ready for the next step.

Hello everyone! My name is Haileigh Parkhurst and I am from northern Michigan. I met my husband while we were in high school and after six years we decided to tie the knot. Two years of being married to the love of my life with a wonderful blessed four year old as well! I am becoming a certified wedding and event planner. I'm almost done with the course and I couldn't be more excited to pursue my dreams to make sure everyone who books through me will have there visions turn into reality.

On April 2nd, 2019 Gorgeous Gala will be having their big grand opening. Anyone is welcome to stop by and take a tour, look at our packages, and have a quick consultation if wanting. Our address is 1291 West main st, Gaylord, MI. The Grand Opening of my business will be huge in the small town I live in. I will be willing to travel within a 40 mile radius when we launch. The color scheme will be an elegant style featuring dusty gold, and white. I will partner with a few vendors for a bridal show runway with the big finale of our clients modeling the dresses, and we will be announcing the winner of the free ticket you received apon arrival. All donations received at the event will be going to our local charity.

I have really enjoyed taking this course and I have learned so much. The templates used to direct you are an amazing tool! This project was the hardest one yet but it was super fun experiencing the aspects of believing myself 100% and selling my business.

Project 1-CWEP Lehman College

Posted By Michelle Dent, Friday, January 4, 2019
Updated: Friday, January 4, 2019

Thursday January 3, 2019

Updated Friday, January 4, 2019

Hi, my name is Michelle Dent and I currently reside in New Jersey. My goals as a Certified Wedding and Event Planner are to obtain much more hands on experience in assisting at weddings, corporate and social events and owning and operating a full service event design, management and planning company as a sole proprietor or with a business partner (s). This class has been both personally and professionally rewarding in that it has opened my eyes to the opportunities out there in the world of event planning.

Project 1 was very challenging and exciting simultaneously because there a lot details that are involved in planning a wedding/social event which can be time consuming and stressful. However, once the pieces of the puzzle come together the end result (s) is/are a memorable event (s) that clients and their guests enjoy, refer family, friends and co workers and talk about for years to come. Get ready because this may very well be the beginning of eveything for starting your own business.

So without further adieu, I present to you Danielle's Surprise Send-off Party. She has no idea! Whether it is a wedding/social event everything is in the details such as the decorations, food, lighting, photobooth, favors etc. It really is all about the details for sure.

Regards,

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Eboni Davis, Friday, January 4, 2019
Hello, My name is Eboni Davis. I decided to create my mood board a little differently than some of the ones I have seen. The images are things that have motivated me to want to become an event planner. There's a picture of myself and 10 year old son. A picture of treat bags I made for my god daughter birthday party. The "blessed" image is what I have tattooed on me for my faith. The semi colon I have tattooed as well for the semi colon project. The picture of the mother and daughter is symbolic of me looking up to my own mother. The picture of me on a hill was taken while in South Dakota with my National Guard unit, I like to travel and serve my country. The last picture is a just a motivational quote that I thought was nice. All of these pretty much  sums up my personality.
