Hey everyone! My name is Megan Campbell and the reason I am taking this course is because I have decided to drive out fear and peruse my TRUE passion in life. I have always been in love with weddings, decor, design and I truly felt now is the time for me. I am OBSESSED with all things weddings. I chose my mood board selections based on a dream wedding I would want to create now. I am living for the color blue with this design! I feel it looks elegant yet modern. This is one of my favorites!

It's Our Grand Opening!!

Posted By Sacha Philius, Tuesday, February 11, 2020
Updated: Sunday, March 1, 2020

his project was a pleasure to complete, but longer than necessary because I had so many ideas! The grand opening presentation follows the required A6 steps and presents these six components of wedding planning through images and small text explaining the images and vision. I decided to utilize an upcoming event to commit the layout. The theme of the opening was a muted Indian garden theme, with a pop of shine. I am catering to all clients, although the glam element is my desire and focus.

Our company's mission is as follows:
Our goal is to have you celebrate without a hitch, leaving you with the peace of mind. Feel free to entrust us with all of your details so that you can enjoy your ultimate celebration with family and friends.

We are there for you throughout all life’s moments! Whether you are looking to make the supreme first impression or celebrate a monumental moment, we can help plan the perfect event. Let us turn your vision into stunning and everlasting memories. Your guests will always respond: “It’s Alluring!”

The reputation we would like to set for our company and brand image is to be a company who is focused on the details and wow factor for an event, all whilst ensuring the actual event goes off without a hitch. We aim to provide professional, courteous honest service, and absolute perfection to ensure our clients are happy. Our efforts in philanthropy coincide with this, as the charities we are particularly drawn to are based on human illness that plague our community.

CWEP Project #1

Here is my mood board for the Project #1

Hi all! My name is Krystal Dean and I am currently attending the Lovegevity CWEP class at the University of Texas at Arlington. I am currently a full time Intervention Instructional Coach in Texas. I am taking this time to pursue my dream to help people celebrate some of the most special times in their lives. I have always had a creative side and have been helping friends with events for years. After recently helping my sister plan her wedding and planning my friends wedding, I decided to go for it and take the time to get my certification. This is something I want to pursue full time! So here I am ready to learn everything I can in order to have a successful business.

My mood board is inspired by a couple who wanted a traditional wedding with a contemporary modern twist. The traditional black and white. Clean lines for the invitations, place setting and ceremony space. After five attire. A low lighting ambiance to create a sense of romance. The wedding and reception will take place in an old historical building during the fall or winter.

CWEP Assignment 1.3

Posted By Linda Cao, Monday, February 10, 2020
Updated: Monday, February 10, 2020

Hi everyone,

My name is Linda. I'm working in the hospitality industry. I have always wanted to learn more about Event Planning. So I'm taking this class to improve my knowledge about event planning specially wedding. Also, hopefully I can have my own business in this industry in the near future.

The mood board I created is one of my favorite wedding style. Vintage and cozy. It look simple but elegant. The color of candles and the green color of leave mixed with pastel pink roses create a warmth, relaxed space and help bring everyone closer.

CWEP Project 2

Updated: Monday, February 10, 2020

Based in the San Francisco/Bay Area (California), Manny's Event Designs is committed to quality and service. Living near the coast/ocean, I was inspired by the beach idea. The light blue, beige, and white colors makes up the simplicity and clean aesthetic of my brand. The soft nautical pastel colors communicates a cozy and easy-going style, which my clients can identify with.

Being the founder, I chose the name Manny's Event Designs. I also wanted a brand that represented California's coasts and beaches, which communicates a meaningful image to me and one that cultivates a positive emotion (i.e. stress-free, worry-free). This is what I want my clients to feel when they experience my services. With this idea/brand, I can easily translate and communicate this through my designs--logos, colors, stationery, office, attire, etc.

As mentioned, I want my clients to feel comfortable and relaxed when using my service. No matter the specific group or demographic I target, my brand hopefully conveys this feeling. However, the type of clients my brand hopes to target are those who are looking for an effortless and renewed experience in planning their wedding.

CWEP Project #1 - Mood Baord UTA2020JOANNE

Posted By Emily Burke, Sunday, February 9, 2020
Updated: Monday, February 17, 2020

Hello everyone!

My name is Emily Grace Burke and I am from Fort Worth, Texas! I am a twenty-one years old college student who has struggled to find her passion through traditional academics. I am so excited to be starting this course and am looking forward to all the promising experiences I will gain through doing so!

When I read that, in this assignment, we were to create a mood board, my mind flooded with various different themes and color schemes. Honestly, I probably created about five different mood boards before narrowing down to two, and now the final one.

This is a look at a modern and moody wedding. I wanted to do something that looked simple and effortless yet sophisticated at the same time. The colors really grab my attention - deep greens, blacks, and golds come together smoothly to create a unique and timeless look. Using the vintage art deco invitations paired with the modern "naked cake" combines the best of both worlds, in my opinion.

Thank you for viewing!

Hello!

My name is Dayna and I am just starting this course with Lovegevity. I have always had a passion for creating and designing. I am currently a PE teacher and I truly love my students, but I have been searching for an outlet for my creative side. I am a jewelry designer for the past 22 years. I also love to paint with acrylics on canvas. I love interior decorating and fashion.

Recently, I have had the pleasure of helping close friends with planning, designing and delivering a wedding for their daughters. After this experience, I found so much joy in the process that I researched what the next steps would be to become a wedding planner.

I am going through a few growing pains maneuvering through the site, but I am excited and hopeful that all this hard work will pay off and allow me to grow and learn all the basics to get started with this new chapter in my life.

Project 1 Blog Post

Posted By Christianna Casey, Sunday, February 9, 2020
Updated: Sunday, February 9, 2020

My name is Christianna Casey and I am a senior Vocal Performance Major at VCU. I was born and raised in Virginia. I am moving to Chicago after graduation and, upon completion of this course, I am hoping to find an internship with a wedding planner and grow my knowledge and experience from there!

This course has opened my eyes to many aspects of wedding planning of which I was unaware. Putting this project together has shown me the ways little details can affect the overall “feel” of a wedding and how small things can contribute (or detract from) a theme. It has also put into perspective how the size of a couple’s budget can greatly whether you can add all the little touches to your vision or if you have to be more creative.

My presentation is on a young couple who wants a Winter Wonderland wedding. I used choices of color palette, menu options, and decorations to create this effect. My couple is very family-oriented and as a result I helped them make their wedding kid friendly.

CWEP Project 1 Blog

Posted By Kiauna Linzer, Saturday, February 8, 2020

Hi! My name is Kiauna. I am from a small town in Texas. My plans for event planning are to create weddings for couples that make memories last a lifetime! I recently got married myself and to this day, I have guest tell me how our wedding was the best wedding they have ever attended, seriously!

My experience with this course and project has been fun. I am not all the way clear on all the instructions since there are some gray areas, but I am winging it and having fun while I am doing this project. I started this course a couple months ago, but got really busy with work so I had to put this off to the side for a while. I thought this course was going to be easy and I could slide by, but I am finding that it comes with a lot of hard work and dedication behind the computer, just as you will be while planning a clients event!

My project was based on a made up scenario I thought up. I saw on the calendar that the 4th of July falls on a Saturday this year and I figured this would be the perfect time to build a theme! My couple wants an elegant wedding with a touch of formal since they are getting married on the biggest outside holiday of the year! My goal for the couple is to be able to throw the best wedding with great food, good times and an awesome firework show! Enjoy!

Section 1 Blog post

Posted By Judy A Woolfolk, Saturday, February 8, 2020

Hi,

I'm Judy Woolfolk.  I have had many careers including a florist in a small west Texas town in the 70's.  I and my husband owned many businesses during our 54 years of marriage.  I was a State Farm insurance agent in Plano, Texas for over 27 years and during  a portion of that time, my office manager and I owned a floral design business.  We did our first large wedding at the Four Seasons in 2008.  We went on to do several weddings and parties, but really just intuitively ran our business.  I know we made mistakes, but didn't know any other way to proceed.  When I retired from State Farm, we closed our floral business.  In 2015, our friends' daughter was planning her wedding and I met Kayla.  There was no wedding planner, so Kayla and her family including the bride, Kassi, were the entire planning team.  They asked me to help with the design work and so our design relationship began.  I found my joy again in designing and the wedding was just magical.  We really didn't know what we were doing, but again just went with what felt right. After my retirement, I was managing a convenience store so really didn't have time to pursue anything else at the time, so again I put my design dreams aside.  My husband died in June, 2019 after complications from heart transplant surgery.  I had quit my job in 2017 to take care of him, so after he died I found myself with time to do something.

After Kassi's wedding, we still were part of Kayla & her family's life so I knew that Kayla didn't want to just be a high school English teacher forever.  We talked about it and she kept coming back to the magic and fulfillment of planning and executing Kassi's wedding.  After she planned and executed the Celina prom, she finally decided that she wanted to pursue her dream.  I offered to take the course with her and help her establish a business.

"You are my Light" is my mood board theme.  My couple have helped each other through college and have been together since high school.  They  want to use a lantern theme as a symbol of being the light for each other.  The wedding is scheduled for late October.  They have chosen a rich, jewel-toned pallet with an indoor ceremony lit by a multitude of lanterns.

This color scheme is mostly focused on deep purple and blue, with pink and silver accents. It's similar to the peacock theme, but not quite as bright.

I really enjoyed making this mood board - it's the first time I've ever done anything like this! I've used pinterest for years but never made anything from it. Thank you for the opportunity!

CWEP Project 3

Posted By Camille A. Luna (Evans), Thursday, February 6, 2020
Hi everybody, my name is Camille Luna. I am 30 years old, married and have a puppy. I am from Redlands, CA and currently work for a hospital and been there almost 6 years! My goals as a professional in event planning is to one day have my own business, quit my current job and fully commit to this business. I want to make people happy with the expertise that I have in planning and still learn along the way for more tips and advice to make me that great advocate in the industry. I eventually want to go as high as doing events for celebrities, that would be my overall dream! If I believe it, it will happen. My experience in this course was difficult due to all of the work we had to have done but my teacher and classmates motivated me to keep on going! This project was also fun and made this a black and gold theme and provided food, beverages, desserts and offered a big giveaway of an all expense paid honeymoon to Hawaii! I included two charities to be at my event and that was Feeding America and ASPCA.

This project is actually based on my friends that are boyfriend and girlfriend and hope to be engaged by this year. I chose a White Winter Wedding theme for them and made it very formal which ended up costing almost $60k. Overall, I enjoyed making this project and my friends ended up really liking it too!

Project #2

Posted By Maggie Robistow, Thursday, February 6, 2020
My name is Maggie, I am almost completed the wedding and event planning certification. I love how much of a creative and fun platform this career choice is. It takes a lot of dedication, organization, and passion. I have the qualities of what it takes to become a wedding planner, but I always want to grow and know that there is always room for improvement. I created my mood board for project two focusing on what I would want to see a wedding look like. This will change depending on the bride. I have no experience other than this course, but my mother is very creative and I believe I got that from her. I wanted to have a platform where I could be creative and also make a career out of it. I am proud of how far I have come in life, and to be able to say I am completed my associates degree, working on my bachelors in Psychology with a minor in philosophy, and now to be so close to completed the wedding planning certification gives me so much motivation to push myself further in my career.

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Brianna Gesler, Thursday, February 6, 2020

My name is Bri Gesler, I am currently a Wedding Sales Manager at a full service hotel in Rochester, NY. I have been in this particular role just over one year, but have worked in the wedding industry, in various positions, for about 5 years. This certification and course work is helping to expand my knowledge and practices as someone already in the field, and will allow me to differentiate myself from my competitors. I think it will also help to solidify the relationships I continue to make with clients--knowing that they are in good hands with an experienced, well-educated professional.

My experience thus far has been wonderful. I have learned some new things and have refreshed my knowledge and skills on things I learned when I first began my journey in the wedding world. I'm finding new tools and tricks to incorporate in my career and enhance the experiences I have with my clients. This project in particular helped to reiterate the detailing process when planning a wedding and helped me to realize how important it is to be thorough, ask questions, and get to know your clients on a more personal level to understand them, as well as their wants and needs. This will help me better be able to communicate to my team and execute my clients' events to their expectations.

This project was enjoyable for me because I was able to look at some of my real life personal and professional experiences to build up the characters, their connection, and their wedding day. Taking anecdotes from the world right around me helped make this project come together seamlessly. I utilized local colleges (one of which I attended!), existing vendors I know from working with them in the industry, and my own personal design touches to bring Janey and Alec's story together in a way that made sense from beginning to end.

CWEP Project 3

Posted By Latasha Fields, Wednesday, February 5, 2020

After three years of event planning learning the ins and outs of the business, we are happy to announce our official grand opening. We have decided to kick off our celebration at Leonard’s Palazzo, a reputable vendor with years of expertise. We have promoted this special event on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, MunaLuchi Bride magazine, and the local newspapers. In addition, we have posted, via business website, as well as our Wedding Wire and The Knot storefronts. People from various places will join in on the celebration enjoying hor devours, a passion fruit signature cocktail, and a listen to the smooth jams from the Shaded Soul Live Band.

As we prepare to embark on this most special occasion I would be remiss, if I did not shout out Lovegevity for it’s informative training. They provided the professional development skills to serve my clients. Now, my network and marketing strategies are stronger and more intentional. My goal is to target Millennial couples seeking a thought partner and day-of-coordinator to bring their vision to reality. The L Prestigious Events Mission is to ensure that every event is memorable for clients and their guests. Clients all receive first-class customer service from beginning to end. We pride ourselves on executing seamless events.

As the events continue and guests hear more about the services L Prestigious Events offers, there will be a raffle drawing every 30 minutes from invited vendors. Gifts are all free ranging from floral to the actual wedding cake.  Also, limousine discounts will be given and discounted pricing if booking at the host location Leonard’s Palazzo within three months of this event.

I hope you enjoy it!
