Project 3

Posted By Vayda Sorel, Thursday, November 15, 2018

Hello,

My name is Vayda Sorel and I am super new to Wedding and Event Planning. This course has been interesting enough for me to understand the basic guidelines of what it takes to really plan an event.

With project 3, the idea of our grand opening is to start a new chapter of success, and of growth. "Blooming" was the theme I chose to go with because when Spring comes around, beautiful flowers all shades of pinks, lavenders, yellows they all begin to bloom so beautifully and innocently. However, a seed needed to be planted in order for that flower to bloom. There had to have been sunlight, water, maintenance in order for that flower to bloom beautifully and that is exactly what happened with EmpressV Events. The theme of our grand opening is not just a "theme" it is a message to my team, my establishment, and myself.

I'm Yolanda Bravo and I've been living in Miami for the last three years. I used to live in Orlando before.  I'm enjoying the Weddings and Events planning course, it has been challenging but at the same time I have learned all the details and requirements to make the wedding day a very special one. It has always been my dream to be a Wedding and Events planner. My board was created for Sylvia and Robert's wedding. A Rustic - Barn wedding with beautiful details and accessories that makes their day special and unique.

Thank you!

Project 3

Posted By Keeley L. Habiak, Wednesday, November 14, 2018

Happily Ever After presents the Grand Opening of its business at The Elan Catering & Events in Lodi, New Jersey. All engaged couples welcome to attend on June 15, 2019.

While taking the Wedding and Event Planning course I was surprised to learn so much about having my own wedding planning business. Most of what I learned I never even took into thought. Creating A6/A8 I especially enjoyed learning. With this tool I will be able to organize each of the weddings I plan with the A6/A8 titles. Project 3 was very helpful as it taught me visually how to make a website, write up a press release, and show myself I can do it as long as my mind is in it. Although I loved taking this course it definitely was a little confusing at first. But with the help of the tools provided through the course and my school advisor I was able to quickly understand how to operate the website. As my course comes to end I hope to find an internship soon and continue my education by taking another course called Wedding and Event Design. With that I hope to learn more about the design aspect of weddings. Therefore I plan to eventually find a wedding planning job and maybe in the future open up my own business.

Project 3

Posted By Katelyn Zirpel, Tuesday, November 13, 2018

Hello for my project 3 my grand opening mission is to make a couples big day the most perfect and happiest day of their lives, from the little details to the unique ideas. By doing this, I hope to get the word out about my business and what I have to offer to the wedding and event planning industry. Not only do I want to get the word out about my new business, but I also want to give back to the community by hosting fundraisers for charity and pick a couple in need to give them great wedding giveaways.

This is my submission for Project 1. I decided to make a website for this project. I thought gaining experience with making a website would be most helpful in the future.

Hello Everyone!

My name is Cindy Valerio, and I am from Southern California. I used to be a commercial model in the philippines before I moved here. And it has always been my dream to create and design events professionally. I also enjoy getting to help other people bring their dream events come to life because it challenges me to push my ability to be more creative. My goal is to be a well known event planner in the world.

My experience in this course is pretty much intense because it pushes my ability to be more creative. Project 1 is so hard for me. It took me months to finish it, but it was all worth it when I saw the outcome.

This wedding is inspired by the magical world of Harry Potter.

My name is Sharon Michaux and I am the owner of Iconic Events.  Iconic Events specializes in weddings, corporate and social events. It is our purpose to provide you with the highest level of service possible.

My experience in this course has been both enriching and challenging. However, I feel empowered now to accomplish a life-long dream and to help someone else dream to become a reality.

Project 3 was the most challenging project for me. Learning to network and promote yourself and your business.  You really have to develop an outgoing attitude and be very personable.

My mood board showcases the style of events I desire to create.  The rich, sultry colors and the elegant atmosphere.

CWEP Project 1- Mood Board

Posted By Cristina Del Campo, Monday, November 12, 2018

Hi!  My name is Cristina del Campo and I'm a Miami native. I've worked in the Education field for 21 years with my duties ranging from classroom teacher to Admissions Director to Activities Director. I had always enjoyed planning simple events such as children's birthday parties or baby showers for friends; however, it was during my years as an Activities Director that I truly discovered my passion. Planning galas, proms, Homecoming dances, executive luncheons, and golf tournaments allowed me to use my organization skills, creativity, and eye for design. There's something extremely satisfying about planning each tiny detail of a function and then seeing the beauty of the finished product. Fast forward to the present and I am hoping to start my own part time business as an event planner with the goal of eventually making this my full time focus!

My time in the CWEP course has been exciting! It has been a great experience to learn from Cemone who is  "in the trenches" and living her passion.

My Mood Board is based on the wedding of Sabrina and Andrew who have been dating for five years. The overall feel is classic and romantic accentuated by an elegant palette of navy, burgundy, and gold with touches of lace. The couple chose a Fall wedding in Miami at the Coco Plum Woman's Club with both ceremony and reception on site.

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Jennifer Lienhard, Tuesday, November 6, 2018

Hello!  My name is Jennifer Lienhard and I am from the Tri-state area living in Secaucus, New Jersey.  I am a college graduate of the University of Central Florida with a degree in Event Management.  I currently plan meetings/ corporate events for a Pharmaceutical Company.  However, my passion is special events.  I am currently taking this course so I can expand my knowledge in the weddings and special events industry and so I can also learn how to own and operate a successful specials events business of my own.

I made this mood board for Michael and Erika's fall wedding.  The couple dreams of a wedding using their favorite color purple as the theme color.  However, they also want to incorporate some fall accents to make their wedding seasonal.  The wedding will take place in a formal venue.  The couple wants the event to be beautiful but not too over the top with extravagant detail.  Attached is my mood board I have created for CWEP Project 1 based on Michael and Erika's dream wedding vision.

CWEP PROJECT 2

Posted By Aurora Vergel, Sunday, November 4, 2018
Updated: Tuesday, November 20, 2018

Let me introduce myself to you first before I tell you about the services I offer.

Hi, My name is Aurora, I have been in this business for one year now, and enjoying every bit of it. There is nothing like finding the right job and loving it at the same time. Confucius long standing quote, “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” These words have been repeated throughout history, and still stand true in my life today.

My experience as an International Flight attendant for more than 10 years gave me an opportunity to witness weddings of friends and colleagues of different cultures. I knew from the start that I wanted to be in the wedding industry, and I have background in Culinary Arts. I have previous experience in baking and desserts for special events with a specialty in baking wedding and gourmet cakes.

I am currently studying to become a certified wedding and event planner. I believe that the knowledge I will gain will help me to become more effective and to be of better service to my client. My team and I will strive to meet the expectations of every couple.

Now that I have introduced myself , it’s time for me to let my clients know that their visions and dreams for a wedding is what we will deliver in reality. Brides must enjoy the wedding planning stage and allow the wedding planner to walk you through the whole process. My wish for you is to be happy and to enjoy every step of the way and not to be stressed out as much as possible. Let the wedding planner and our team of excellent staff do the works for you to make your dream wedding a reality.
