CWEP Project 1

Posted By Alisha T. Stephen, Monday, February 17, 2020
Hi! My name is Alisha Stephen, I’m 22 (almost 23) years old & I was born & raised in Lawrenceville, GA. I stay at home with my mom & older brothers. Before doing Lovegevity I was hoping from job to job mainly in retail. I was wanting to branch out but no one was accepting my application.  I thought long & hard about being a wedding planner & one day I asked my mom for help & I took the leap! I plan on becoming a very successful wedding planner that lives worry free about finances, time & stress.

In my project, I’ve been given a very sweet couple who is young & vibrant! They want an emerald green wedding with gold accents & touches of pale pink. The gold creates an amazing pop of color while the pink brings the two bold colors back down to earth & mellows things out.

CWEP Project #1 - Mood Board

Posted By Bianca Anderson, Sunday, February 16, 2020
Hi, my name is Bianca Anderson and this is the mood board for my ideal client / wedding design. I chose this aesthetic as it is clean, modern and chic. I love the splash of color that the greenery provides, as well as the accents of gold sprinkled throughout. My ideal client is a no nonsense working individual, who appreciates understated elegance and finer things in life, who doesn't have time for fluff and likes a clean look.

1. (Press Release Intro)
KELLER, TEXAS - Look West Events, LLC is proud to bring the exclusive “Industry Champions” Happy Hour to Keller, TX for the first time. Industry Champions will be a celebration of Look West Events 1st anniversary, and will honor select local vendors who provide exceptional services to their wedding clients.

This invitation-only event will be hosted at the Look West Events headquarters in Keller, TX and will feature an Olympics-themed atmosphere where local wedding vendors will celebrate another year of innovation and achievement.

“We are so excited to be hosting our first annual Industry Champions happy hour. Event professionals work so hard to put on fantastic experiences for their clients, so this is an opportunity for the professionals to simply enjoy themselves as guests,” said Christen Westcott, Owner of Look West Events.

2.I had a wonderful experience taking this course and it really helped to provide a lot of guidance and direction as I've been building my business and my brand. I was able to incorporate a lot of the advice from the CWEP course into my business assets and into how I conduct myself with prospects and clients. I think every wedding and event planner should take a course like this when they're first starting as a foundation for success!

3.I am presenting my belated Grand Opening, which will be a 1st Anniversary party for my company, Look West Events. It will be an "Industry Champions" themed event for local wedding pros where we will be able to network, share stories and enjoy ourselves during the busy spring wedding season. It will take place on a Thursday, late afternoon/evening so as to not conflict with any of our booked clients on the weekends!

CWEP Project 1- Canva and Pinterest

Posted By LaTanya Shaw, Sunday, February 16, 2020
Updated: Sunday, February 16, 2020

Hello,

I am LaTanya Shaw and I have always had a hidden creative side. I love celebrating others and entertaining so much, that I have primarily been the planner/coordinator for most of my friends and family's events.

As a Registered Nurse, my job has always been to "help others." It wasn't until about two years ago that I realized that other people's affirmations over my talents were leading me to find another passion in helping others in a creative way! So after planning many birthday parties, baby showers and my first wedding  this past September, I've decided to take a leap of faith and venture into something else I love doing.

My mood board inspiration is for a couple having a Fall wedding at the end of September. The color scheme of navy, fuchsia, eggplant cream and gold gives the bride and groom just enough pop of colors to compliment their favorite colors. His is navy and hers is purple! The lace cut wedding invitations gives off the theme of pure elegance for the night. Which will be displayed through attention to detail and uplighting throughout the venue. The floating cake stand is the center of attention per their request. However, the best part of the wedding is the location! It will take place in the groom's hometown of New Orleans. The city that knows how to second line dance!

Hello y'all,

This post was inspired by an English garden country that is less high tea and more casual preppy. Incorporating lots of springy pops of color reflected in the abundance of blooming flowers. The bride is drawn to breezy dresses with open backs and the groom attire incorporates tweed. A location for the nuptials is suggested to be in the backyard of a homey English cottage home, hosting both the ceremony and reception outside imbedded in the garden atmosphere.

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Angela Roman, Saturday, February 15, 2020

Hi! I’m Angela Roman and I’m from Ankeny, IA. I’m a full-time stay home mom of 2 and a part time registered nurse. My passion for weddings started with my own wedding. I really enjoyed planning it and even used the power point slides to help me envision the whole picture. After my wedding I realized how much I missed planning. Since my wedding I’ve helped out with 2 weddings. Both of which are friends’ weddings. It only took me a while to realize that this is my dream job. I’m in the process of starting an event planning business, which specializes in weddings.

So far, this class has given me more foundation and better understanding of what goes on with wedding planning. I’ve been learning a lot and enjoying in the process. I am taking this class online and I didn’t realize how difficult it can be to stay on track.  But I’m determined to reach my goal and finish this class.

Even though, I had my challenges, I still had a lot of fun with this project. I love doing the research and showing my creativity. I loved building my own website and exploring Canva. I’ve actually never heard of Wix and Canva until this class.

For project 1 case study, I’m helping plan a spring wedding. The couple’s wedding colors are silver, plum and lavender/lilac. This wedding will showcase romance, elegance and a touch of rustic.

CWEP Project1

Posted By Dionn Cato, Saturday, February 15, 2020

Hello Everyone,

This event is taking place in Spring of 2020, May to be exact. The lovely couple requested a day of fun, relaxed, however elegant event outdoors. Therefore, I’m presenting a mood board of an elegant outdoor tent wedding. The color scheme of this party will include black, gold, burgundy and cream.

The event will occur in Manalapan, New Jersey in an upscale gated community in the backyard of the client’s mansion where they currently reside. The landscape holds 2 leveled acres of plush green zoysia grass. The spacing of this backyard can comfortably accommodate two sailcloth tents, one 44’ x 103’ for guest seating and the other 44’x 43’ for all the food and beverages.

In order to bring the clients vision to life, I chose photos that exhibits a reflection of the groom, who is a member of the prestigious fraternity Alpha Phi Alpha, Inc. The organizations colors are black and gold. The couple communicated how important it was to incorporate these colors in their wedding.

Hello there!

My name is Madeline and I am a recent college graduate. I graduated with a degree in Event Management and have been working in the events industry so 4 years and in the wedding industryfor 3 years. I have worked at two 5 star wedding venues as an intern and when I graduated I was offered a job as the catering sales manager at a 5 star catering sales company.

I enjoyed this project because it made me think to the future and what my wedding planning company would be like. Since I have lots of industry experienceit was easy for me to come up with the packages and how the process is. I enjoyed being creative and put a lot of thought into this project.

My company is Enchanted Weddings By Madeline. I used a light pink and floral theme because I thought it was enchanting and elegant. I came up with the company name because I find weddings so enchanting.

CWEP Canva Mood Board

Posted By Lynn B, Saturday, February 15, 2020

I have designed a mood board to present to my prospective clients, Jack and Annie. Jack grew up on a cattle ranch in Oklahoma while Annie was born and raised in Alaska. The two met while students studying in Austin, Texas.

Jack and Annie are planning a late summer wedding with a reception under the stars. With a nod to their respective pasts, the dinner menu includes steak and salmon along with fresh, locally sourced produce.

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Galit Yanai, Friday, February 14, 2020

Hello there!

My name is Galit and I'm very excited to share my first blog post on this blog.
I assume we all share the same passion to planning wedding in particular and events in general.

My journey started when I was 17 and my older sister got engaged- she was the first one in our family to get married, so we all got very excited about that and tried to throw the best and most fun wedding for the couple and guests.
As time passed, we started to feel the pressure of having so much responsibility. That's when I decided to take the lead and tried to do my best at helping my sister and taking some stress off her shoulder.
Within days I found myself designing her wedding dress, talking to the venue manager, choosing the right music with the DJ, making mood-boards for her to find the right hairstyle, and more... Suddenly I became 100% the center of information available for her, and by that gave her the time to enjoy every second of being engaged, instead of freaking out about the whole wedding planning.

Since then, I was helpful for many other friends and family members to plan their special events, and I always did it with a big smile on my face.

My main goal is to make my biggest dream come true and fulfill my endless desire to become a certified wedding and event planner!
I'm new to Lovegevity but I can already tell I feel like I'm in the right place.

My mood-board represents a summer, floral wedding, "the wedding of my dreams". When I imagine it I see a nice early summer evening, right before sunset, a little bit of wind blowing through the garden venue, and the smell of flowers and grass mixing up in the air. Floral arrangements and tiny icicle lights are surrounding the reception and ceremony area.

I would love to hear your feedback,
Galit

Updated: Thursday, February 13, 2020

Based in León, Gto, Mexico, WE Wedding & Event Planning is commited to make a wedding dream come true. The basic colors of my brand are blue (we all need something blue at the wedding, and it also makes us relax), burgundy (which is a remembrance of intense love) and gold (that brings up elegancy). This is to make my clients feel their love while they are relaxed having their wedding planned by us.

The name came to me because when they are engaged, they're now a WE, they begin to talk about themselves in plural, and in all that process, WE show up, and it's also a WE, WE become a team, it's more than just doing a wedding, it's getting to know the couple to make their dreams come to life.

The type of clients my brand hopes to target are those who are looking forward to explore new ways of letting their guest know who they are as a couple, what they like to do together, and what they want to share with the people they love. I think millenials is an amazing example of this, they are always trying to be themselves and different from others.

Join us on February 14th, 2020 at the Tendue in Portland, Oregon as Maddy´s Forever & Always Weddings presents their “Love Is in the Air” grand opening event. What better way to celebrate the opening of a business of love than on the day of love?

Grab your special someone, friends, and family for an exciting evening filled with games, photos, flowers, information, and more! Come learn how to make your own bouquet from Alice´s Table, enjoy dessert and refreshments provided by Dream Cakes, and learn everything you need to know to plan your perfect day with us.

Maddy´s Forever & Always Weddings is a full-service wedding and event planning business that was founded by certified wedding planner Maddy Rebaum in 2019 through a passion for love and individuality. Individuality is what makes humans beautiful. Maddy´s Forever & Always Weddings believes in taking the uniqueness and dream of each couple and turning it into a personalized reality.

This project was a lot of fun. Although I am not planning on starting my own business right after completing the course, it was great practice for planning an event.

As the wedding planning business is part of the business of love, I thought it would be a great idea to open the business on Valentine´s Day. My business logo is a heart made out of hearts, so an event that followed that theme seemed very fitting. Heart shaped balloons will decorate the venue, pink food served, and a heart-shaped lantern release will close the evening. All proceeds of the event will be donated to Wishing Upon a Wedding.
