Hello All,

My name is Alexis Angevine and I will be hosting a grand opening event for my company, Events by Alexis. The event will be held at The Tribute at The Colony on February 2nd, 2019.  The start time for this event will be 6:30pm and we shall party until 12:00am. The theme for this event will 1920’s casino and the guest will be dressed in semi-formal or attire that’s from the 1920’s era.  There will be food and cocktails for the guest to enjoy through the event.  For entertainment, there will be dancers, music, games and raffles happening throughout the evening to help support local charities.  We will also be hosting a clothing drive during the grand opening event to help Dress for Success, a local charity, collect clothing for its participants.

It has been a great pleasure to have experienced all that this course has to offer.  When I initially signed up for this course, I wasn’t sure what to expect and how I could truly benefit from it.  After taking this course, I have a new found respect for the talent that lies within an event planner.  This course has helped me gain a more in-depth understanding on the wedding and event industry as a whole and how much opportunities exist to be successful and make money in this industry.

I’m excited for what the future as in store for me as I embrace the wedding and event planning journey.  I would recommend this course for anyone who’s a part of any industry that host events.

Project 3 Moodboard

Posted By Cheri Peoples, Sunday, November 25, 2018

Hello my name is Cheri. This is my Project 3 moodboard for my grand opening of RubyGrace Creations. This event will take place at the Aristide Event Center on Friday, February 1, 2019. The guests will dress in semi-formal attire as they enjoy cocktails, food, music, a fashion show and raffles throughout the evening.

This course has opened my eyes to a lot about this industry. I am excited to go and gain experience from the things I have learned.  I have enjoyed the journey of self learning how to use the different resources to post my assignments.  After this course I plan to gain employment with a company that engages in events and eventually start my own event planning business. Thank you Lovegevity for the experience!

Hi, My name is Phoebe and for Project 3, I am hosting a grand opening event for my party planning business. The event is held at the MGM National Harbor in June 2019. The theme is very bold and elegant at the same time. This event will be at night and is very formal so guests are asked to dress accordingly. It will be a night to remember with delicious food, open bar, and dancing.

Taking this class has been a great experience. I have learned a lot that I have not known before or have gained knowledge of what I already knew. I am excited for my future in event planning and to find out all the different opportunities I can receive. I recommend taking this class to anyone that wants to start or continue in the wedding and event planning industry.

Project 1

Posted By Jennifer Nunez, Friday, November 23, 2018

Hi my name is Jennifer Nunez. I live in New York. My goal as a professional planner is to gain as much experience as I can. I want to be able to open up my own business with a family member or a partner. I want be able to do wedding events, parties; all kinds of event. In order to do that I need to gain knowledge and experience. That's why I'm here taking this class. Hopefully this could help me open up a part time business and in the future be my full time job.

Project 1 was very exciting to do because i felt like i was actually creating someone's wedding. I was a little bit challenging when it comes to budget, good vendors and being organized on your timeline.

My mood board was created for Will and Jennifer's Wedding. They asked for a rusty vintage wedding outside. Wedding is mostly about the little details like the lights, trees and flowers surrounding the area.

project 1

Posted By AnaLucia Schmidt, Friday, November 23, 2018

My name is Analucia and I was born in Peru and I am currently living in Mckinney Texas! I found a passion for wedding and event desing since I was little. My family owned a catering business in my country so I practically grew up in a kitchen full of smells, people and ideas.

I plan to have a successful business up and running within the next few years.

This project was SO fun! I kind of planned this wedding as I pictured my daughter's "dream" wedding to be, which made it super easy! I learned a lot about budgeting and just how much detail goes into a wedding.

This wedding was an outdoor elegant wedding. The theme was based off the couples' lives, which meant that a lot of what they incorporated into their lives, they incorporated into their wedding. It really showed who the bride and groom were.

I really enjoyed this project, even though it took some time. :)

#CWEP #Project3 #Grand Opening by Janie Chabolla

Posted By Janie Chabolla, Thursday, November 22, 2018

On December 4, 2018 Magnolia Bloom DFW Events will have a Grand Opening. Located at 1234 Main St. in downtown Grand Prairie. Engaged couples are invited to stop by to browse thru their portfolio and event planning packages available.

I have thoroughly enjoyed taking this course! So much valuable information! With all the step by step info on how to start my business, I am so excited to get started.

The Grand Opening of my business will be in the heart of downtown Grand Prairie. The color scheme will be similar to my website/logo: shades of green, grey and white. I will partner with a few vendors for a bridal show runway with the big finale being the announcement of the winner of the raffle for a free wedding package. All proceeds of the raffle will go to LifeLine Shelter for Families Inc.

Project 1

Posted By Jasmin Castillo, Wednesday, November 21, 2018
I'm new to the wedding planning industry but I've been planning corporate events for many years so planning comes natural to me. I wanted to create a romantic wedding for Project 1 so I chose a palette that emphasizes romance with blush, rose gold and blue hints. I loved creating this wedding and choosing the images to use.

Hello everyone! I am glad to announce the Grand Opening of my new business. The concept that I visualize have now

become a dream come true. Aurora’s Events and Wedding Designs will be held on May 28, 2018 at the Cozy Pavilion

Venue in Lovers Lane Del Mar. The Event will be from 6 to 10 p.m.

Being a wedding planner sounds good but to be a certified wedding planner is even better. The method of teachings I

Received from LWPI accredited by Collin College has given me confidence to start up my own business.

The mood board I have chosen to present are just a glimpse of what it would be like at the grand opening.

I am hoping to see you all at the event. It is going to be a fabulous fun evening!

Updated: Tuesday, November 20, 2018

Hello, my name is Cindy Valerio with Cindy Ella Events. Doing project 2 is a little bit more harder for me than project 1. Because we're moving to a new place and had to research in the new area and tweak my contract. But I am really having fun studying at Lovegevity because it challenges me to be more creative in all the projects that I'm doing. I like that I'm learning a lot doing event planning process, website and be ready for the future event planning business.

The mood board is based on my future client's elegant luxurious wedding.

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Sara C. Burket, Tuesday, November 20, 2018
Hi,

My name is Sara and I am from the Chicago suburbs! I am an ex-hair stylist but still am a part of the beauty industry. I found a passion for wedding planning back in 2010 when I was pregnant. Due to birth complications and raising my baby as a single mother, it was hard for me to focus on my career. Five months after my baby was born, I decided to attend cosmetology school, where I was licensed in 2012. Began this course again earlier this year and I am happy to say that I think I found my passion! I plan to have a successful business up and running within the next few years.

This project was SO fun! I kind of planned this wedding as I pictured my own "dream" wedding to be, which made it super easy! I learned a lot about budgeting and just how much detail goes into a wedding.

This wedding was a country/rustic wedding. The theme was based off the couples' lives, which meant that a lot of what they incorporated into their lives, they incorporated into their wedding. It really showed who the bride and groom were.

I really enjoyed this project, even though it took some time. :)

I did my project on a military inspired wedding. I incorporated the colors of the Marine Corp uniform into the wedding color scheme. I used red, white, and blue all throughout each each of the wedding from the flowers, cake, clothing, etc.

Project 2

Posted By Alexis Angevine, Monday, November 19, 2018

Hello All,

My name is Alexis Angevine and I was born and raised in New York City and I currently reside in Frisco, Texas.  I enjoy planning events and I love all aspect of the business.  Whenever I've planned an event, I  receive many compliments for the way I have executed the event.  I have decided to obtain my certification to help enhance my skills and knowledge on the event planning industry.

I have been thinking about taking this course for the past two years and I'm glad that I finally decided to take the plunge. This course has definitely provided me with the tools and techniques that I need to run an event planning  business professionally.  I have learned a lot and I will be proud to call myself, a certified wedding and event planner.

Project two has helped me map out how to market my business to my all my prospective clients.  Knowing how to market your services is very important because if you don't understand how to engage your prospective client's, your business will not succeed.

Project 1

Posted By Angela Cloutier, Sunday, November 18, 2018
Updated: Sunday, November 18, 2018

Hello!  My name is Angela, and I am DONE with Project 1.  I am from Cape Cod Massachusetts, and I love this program.  I have been a special education teacher for eight years, but I wanted to do something more creative with my life.  I am a very organized person, so I know that this will be a perfect second career for me.

My goals/plans as a professional in event planning is to work as an event planner at one of the many beautiful resorts on Cape Cod.  Cape Cod weddings are extremely popular, so I know that I will be very busy when I have completed this course.

My experience in this course has been wonderful so far.  I have been extremely supported by the program, and I am learning so many things in the event industry.  It is definitely more work than I originally thought, but I am up for the challenge.  The course is well-paced, informative, and interesting.  This project was very time-consuming, and it was very challenging.  I am very happy with how my project turned out, and I learned so much about what is needed for a successful wedding.

The project I am presenting is a beautiful bohemian-themed wedding that is rustic, elegant, ad simple.  The wedding is more about the little details like the flowers, favors, and music which allows the wedding to be rustic-chic while embracing nature.

Thank you for reading my blog!!!
