CWEP Project 3

Posted By Michele M. Foust, Sunday, October 27, 2019
Updated: Sunday, October 27, 2019

Hello, my name is Michele Foust and I live in a small city northeast of Dallas.  I am currently working for a large specialty chemical company as the Global Supply Chain Deliver Operational Excellence, Senior Manager.  In this role, I manage strategic projects, mergers and acquisitions, training and process governance.  My goal for 2020 is to open my own event planning company, specializing in unique Ithemed events.

I have enjoyed the class, but have recently been in the hospital for 2 weeks, so it's been hard pushing through.  I am so happy to be close to completing my WEP certification.

Project 3 details the Grand Opening of my new company, Envious Events.  The local community is invited and there will be cake tastings, make-up tips, head shots and a DJ.  We will also be holding a raffle drawing with all proceeds going to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

CWEP Project 3 Grand Opening

Posted By Sarah L. Hunt, Sunday, October 27, 2019

Hi my name is Sarah and I created this Grand Opening for my project 3!

Sarah Hunt is a student of LWPI and is about to finish her certification to become a Wedding and Event Planner! Sarah has extensive training from her course, as well as future internships, and will continue her studies to become certified in corporate events, event law, and wedding and event design!Call today for your free first consultation!

Souit Moments is different because not only is this a service based company with a passion for weddings and events and all things by design. Souit Moments also strives to make every occasion memorable and enjoyable for all clients on all occasions!

My experience in this course has been truly a exciting and informative experience. I learned more than I knew I needed to know! I feel very confident in my abilities of helping clients create dream weddings and events! I love how I could read my chapter assignments and then take a break and watch some videos from other experts and creatives in the industry! There are so many options in this amazing industry and this is the the very beginning fireworks that opens the door to many other exciting options! After this course I plan to take additional courses such as Wedding and Event Design, Floral Design, and Fashion Show Production!

Thank you for this amazing course and the opportunity to meet all of you!

For my project 3 I chose to do a celebratory graduation and grand opening of my new company, a wedding and event planning and designing service company. 100 guests of friends, family, and four industry vendors were invited to attend, to not only join in on the celebrations but hopefully begin to market and gain clients at the launch! The event was at the Tribeca Rooftop, where there was valet, a sit down dinner party from Tribeca Catering, and a dj with dancing, presentations, and a chance to meet others and learn about industry venues! All proceeds that evening from photographs as well as 10% all other  vendors that evening went to Ms. Magazine!

Thank you!

CWEP Project 2

Updated: Saturday, October 26, 2019

My Name is Pascale and the name of my company is Enchanted Events. We are a full-service wedding planning business and want to create unique experiences for our clients. This collage is an example of the color scheme that we used in many of our events, soft pastels and lots of floral to get a chic but clean and fresh look.  We can easily customize our designs to reflect the clients’ style and personality and make it memorable for them.  Even though my goal is to purchase my own ranch style/barn venue in Central Florida, we want to cater from rustic to elegant events, my team and I are committed to giving our clients what they are looking for and if possible exceed their expectations.

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Jennifer Chahoud, Friday, October 25, 2019

Hi everyone!

My name is Jenny and I am from Las Vegas, NV! I spent the last 6 years of my life working at a financial institution and realizing this just wasn't cutting it for me. As a lover of weddings, parties, love, and romance I decided to launch my own wedding planning business! I start this past April and right now I'm looking for all the ways to better educate myself to give my clients a great experience. So far this course has been good, a little hard to navigate or maybe I'm just not that tech savvy. I'm learning new things which is what I'm looking forward to the most!

My project is for a couple that loves the wooden rustic look but wants a touch of glamour to it. The feathers in the bouquet and decor gives it that extra touch of sophistication while the lanterns and rose/burgundy colors give it a sense of romance. This wedding would take place during October in a hot climate state so outside would be perfect during the day and a slight breeze at night.

Warrior of the Heart (growing Courage)

Posted By Pascale Wasserbeck, Wednesday, October 23, 2019
Updated: Wednesday, October 23, 2019

Most of us tend to be guarded when getting involved in relationships for fear of getting hurt.  It takes courage to trust and let emotions flow. The article “Warrior of the Heart” highlights the importance of courage to foster a great partnership. Taking a leap of faith is pretty much what it means, being able to show feelings even if we know there are risks involved; being able to overcome the instinct to always remain in control as a defense mechanism is no easy task; it takes courage to step into situations that we fear but at the end of the day, it takes heart to accept rejection but it also takes heart and courage to grow in order to build something worthwhile and fulfilling.

CWEP Project 1 Kennedy and James Wedding

Posted By Chandler Payne, Monday, October 21, 2019

Hello, my name is Chandler and I'm currently living in San Diego. I'm currently working at a school in the Admin department but have always been interested in events. I get to do some events here at the school but the scale is just not what I am looking for, so I am looking to start my own events company.

So far this course has been pretty good, I'm learning I know more about events than I thought I did but at the same time learning things I hadn't thought of before. I know that this will be a great tool to have under my belt when looking for new jobs and new opportunities in the events world. I also look forward to taking advantage of the internship programs LWPI offers.

This mood board is for Kennedy and James' Wedding in August of 2020 in San Diego. They wanted a very romantic and soft wedding with accents of geometric shapes for dimension. They are such a sweet couple and the choices they have made really stand to make the event very personal to each person that attends.

How Clearing May Benefit Your Relationship

Posted By Shannon Chatman, Monday, October 21, 2019
Clearing is a term that describes the process of coming to terms with our own anger without ever speaking to the other person. By developing methods to free ourselves from carrying the anger, we feel lighter and our relationship improves. One method of clearing is putting the issue in perspective by seeing that it is small enough that it does not deserve attention or mention. Another method is thinking of all the wonderful aspects of our partner, making a minor irritation fade in importance.

Creating a Cohesive Design Plans

Posted By Lisa Blough, Monday, October 21, 2019
https://www.lovegevity.university/page/VideoLibrary

I found this Webinar by Kimberly Letteer to be one of the most helpful I've listened to so far.  She helped me organize how I need to think of each event to create a cohesive (not matchy) event.  She pointed out areas to pay particular attention to, how to adapt to budget restraints, mistakes to avoid and how to develop a design board.  I found her instruction to be well organized, well thought out and full of great ideas.  I took 3 pages of notes on this one!

CWEP Project 2

Posted By Ashley Chastine, Sunday, October 20, 2019
Hello Everyone! My name is Ashley Chastine and I am the owner of Weddings by AKC. My inspiration I think would be a nice calming but professional atmosphere. My color scheme is more of pastels, such as coral, pinks, and blues. This project was a bit diffuclt for me since I am not planning to starting my own business anytime soon. I wanted something simple because I am from a small comunity and everyone knows everyone here. So I want that small town feel for my own business. I feel like the types of clients I would bring in would be more of a small town couple. I feel like I would attract more of the outdoors type of peopleand those are the wedding I think I would be best at.

CWEP Project 2

Posted By Tiphiny Phanh, Friday, October 18, 2019

Hi, my name is Tiphiny. I am currently taking the in-person class and it has been great so far. I've learned so much about what goes into wedding planning and building my own brand. It's hard work, but the hard work really pays off in the end when you see the final product. For my brand mood board, I wanted to make sure that my brand is a representation of me and things that I like. I love the simple look. I wanted to incorporate some of my favorite colors such as mustard yellow, forest green, and burnt orange. I am very into the "faux" or "handwritten" calligraphy and think that it makes anything look really put together.

CWEP Project 2

Posted By Katie Sherrill, Thursday, October 17, 2019

Hello, My name is Katie and I am currently a stay at home mom of 2. We have talked about me taking this course for a few years now and finally decided now is the time. In my past life I worked for my church and planned ladies events and small gatherings. But for the most part, this is all new and a wonderful, and fun, learning experience.

My project 2 is based on the actual venue I will be working at and realistic pricing that I will be using to build my business. I have a very unique situation as I will be going straight into a brand new venue, not working out on my own. It is a wonderful opportunity that I am very excited about!

CWEP Project 1 Mood Board

Posted By Roxanne Mayne, Wednesday, October 16, 2019
Updated: Thursday, October 17, 2019

Hello!

My name is Roxanne. I am originally from California and recently relocated to Florida. I have been in the Hospitality and Catering business 25+ years. My Italian upbringing has instilled in me great love for the arts, family, architecture, music and food. What a great way to enjoy what I love most by becoming a Wedding & Event Planner.

I decided to take the CWEP course to have a better knowledge of owning my own business. I am also interested in Floral Design and plan on taking a course to better understand the basics of floral design.

My couple, Jonathan & Isabella met in Italy while Jonathan was attending school abroad. Although they are now living in the USA they've always hope and dreamed of a Traditional Italian Wedding. They have chosen The Villa Casa Casuarina the former Versace Mansion on Ocean Drive in Miami. It is an opulent villa venue that's everything you would expect from the Italian Designer.

The theme and colors are patterned after an exquisite handmade tile Isabella brought with her from La Spezia, Liguria, Northern Italy. Manarola one of the five small villages of Cinque Terre that is a bright little town famously known for its rugged coastline, Siachettra wine and medieval relics.

Italian Weddings are indeed one of the most lavish indulgences! Lengthy celebrations and scrumptious food, all are the integral parts of engagement & reception ceremonies in an Italian Wedding. Apart from merry making, the rich traditions and folklores make Italian Wedding very special! From fixing the wedding ceremony date to choosing the gifts for the newly married couple, every detail is considered to bring good luck or avoid bad luck to the duo.

CWEP Project 1

Updated: Wednesday, October 16, 2019

Hi everyone , My name is Lizbeth. recently started working with my aunt in the wedding and event planning world. I can honestly say that its been so much fun and hard work. I cant wait to keep learning and applying everything im learning from this course. So far I've learned so much and I keep implementing them in parties/ events that I've already done and upcoming ones for this year and next.

The event that I chose to do is a quincenera. It's a 15th birthday where they celebrate the upcoming of a girl becoming a women. Traditionally this celebration is done in Latin cultures. Edith (the birthday girl has decided to have an enchanted theme with a twist of under the stars theme. There will be lots of fairy lights and flowers . The color theme is light pink , burgundy , white, and gold. These colors compliment each other well and will help express the elegancy and personal touch that edith wants on her special day. She would like to keep the traditional church ceremony and father, daughter dance.

CWEP Project 2 Mood Board

Posted By Sarah L. Hunt, Tuesday, October 15, 2019

Hi Everyone,

My name is Sarah Lee Hunt and I am the founder of Souit Moments! Souit Moments is french inspired since I am mostly french, and I plan to provide exceptional wedding and event planning and design services throughout Stowe, Vermont, NYC, and Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Souit Moments plans to provide luxurious wedding and event planning and design services to clients who plan to spend an extravagant amount to create their most eye catching memorable events! Souit Moments color scheme is reds, golds, blacks, with a centerpiece rose as a memorable logo! I wanted Souit Moments to create an immediate emotional response of luxury and intimacy!

The creation of Souit Moments took a while to really narrow down the color choices because I was torn between a sweet and simple elegant look such as light pinks, dark pinks, and gold with champagne bubbles or a more sweeter striking appearance of dark pink and gold. However I am very excited and pleased with the decision to locate the color scheme, logo, and brand around rose red, blacks, golds, and white wordings! Souit Moments will start off locally in Stowe, Vermont, NYC, and Montreal and then branch out more internationally.

Within a year Souit Moments plans to provide additional services and provide Luxury Floral Designs to clients who wish to create unique, eye catching, extravagant designs for any Occassion and event. Within five years Souit Moments plans to operate out of NYC with a large plaza venue for weddings and events, continue to offer Luxurious Floral Designs and within ten years Souit Moments hopes to be recognized in many magazines, blogs, and make personally memorable experiences with clients!

Thank you for reading about the start of my very passionate Wedding and Event Planning and Design Business,

Sarah Lee

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Pascale Wasserbeck, Tuesday, October 15, 2019
Updated: Wednesday, October 16, 2019

My name is Pascale Wasserbeck and I am from Miami.  I am currently working as a business analyst but also enjoy planning various kind of events as a hobby. It is truly satisfying to see something you create bring so much joy to people around you. This is the reason why my husband and I decided to buy a venue and cater to weddings and events. I have a financial background but really have no ideas of the ins and outs of becoming an event planner.  Therefore, I decided to take this course to provide not only adequate services to my future customers but also to alleviate the stress and anxiety that comes along with planning any kind of event, big or small.

My project is about my daughter’s wedding.  She is getting married next year, in August 2020 and although it seems to be far away, I am already feeling the pressure to get things done quickly.  She was fortunate to find a venue that offered a lot of the amenities she was looking for, ceremony and reception in one location. Ever after barns Peach farm is a hidden gem, they can accommodate up to one hundred guests and provide the tables, chairs, linen and rustic accessories.  They also give you the choice to bring in your own vendors even though they have a list of preferred vendors to work with. The staff is extremely courteous, responsive and strive to make the process easy and fun.

CWEP project #2

Posted By Wendy B. Kent (Chadwick), Tuesday, October 15, 2019
Hello, my name is Wendy Kent. I enjoyed this project, in that I am able to now, narrow down what I wish to do with my planning certificate. After giving thought to the future of my business, I wish to follow the path I laid out, after diving into this project. I currently have a resale bridal gown business, as well as rental décor. The intent is to grow this business into including a venue, in two years. This project helped me map out what I wish to include in the venue portion of the future business. I will enjoy growing and learning about my current business and developing the groundwork for the future venue with overnight capabilities.

CWEP Project 2

Posted By Kendra Dougherty, Tuesday, October 15, 2019

Hello All! My Name is Kennah Buckaloo and I live in Prosper, Texas. I am currently working at an asset tracking company and do the help-desk and help manage the website. Aside from my current occupation I help create websites as a part-time job.

After helping my best friends plan their weddings, I became interested in event planning. This course has been a huge help in better understanding everything that goes into planning an event. It has also helped on the backside with better understanding how to run a business.

My overall goal is to own my own event venue. After planning my own wedding and working with others to help plan theirs, I realized how hard it is to plan an event while working full-time. But one of the hardest parts is coordinating all the little details.

Which leads me into the goals! Within the next year I would love to be doing weddings at least part-time. From here I would like to branch out and own a B&B with a smaller area to have events, within the next 2-3 years. After this my husband and I would like to own several B&Bs over the next 5-7 years before investing in our own event venue at the 10-15 year mark.

Each B&B will be personalized depending on the history of the area and the events that happen there ( these B&B will be all over the US!) For our Venue we would like to own a larger plot of land (50+) and have three separate venues: One for smaller events ( under 50 people), a middle-man that can house up to 150-200 people, and a larger one that can have up to 500 guests at one time. Each venue will have their own kitchen, indoor area, and outdoor area, as well as its own supplies (tables, chairs, linens, etc).

We do not want to specialize in just one type of event, we want to be able to host engagement parties, bridal/couple showers, weddings, birthday parties, anniversaries, Proms, etc. We would like someone to be able to come up to us and say, “Here’s my event. What are you able to do?” and we will give them an answer!

CWEP Project 2

Posted By Jennifer Ruth Carlson, Monday, October 14, 2019

Hi everyone,

My name is Jennifer Carlson, and I live in McKinney, TX.  I am planning to specialize in quinceaneras.  I currently work full-time in supply chain management and enjoy organizing and process improvement.

This course has really been eye-opening for me.  I've gotten so many good tips and info through the reading and my instructor.  I got interested in this after I planned my wedding this spring.

My project is focused on planning quinceaneras with a mid to low range budget.  I'm also interested in doing day of coordination.  As my business grows, I'd like to include animal rentals as an extra service (ex. llamas, longhorns, baby goats, etc.).
