Project 3

Posted By Rachel Patton, Monday, May 13, 2019
I enjoyed this final project! I love incorporating philanthropy into events and this was a great way to do so. My theme is "A Night Under the Stars" because I love beautiful outdoor venues and the night sky with pretty lights to accentuate! There will be a lot of activities for people of all ages to enjoy. I want this night to be classy and magical. There will be informational sessions, food, drink, dancing, and chances for people to get personal with the donation process!

CWEP Project 1- Mood Board

Posted By Deirdre M. Payne, Monday, May 13, 2019

My name is Deirdre Payne and I am the proud Owner of I Do LLC., in Virginia. In my past corporate life, I have planned everything from chili cook offs and golf tournaments to auto shows, bridal shows and yes…weddings. I am thrilled with the knowledge that becoming certified has brought and am incredibly excited to put it to work helping future wedding and event clients “make getting to “I Do” easier.”

I was not sure how deep this course would be and I am amazed and overwhelmed with all that I have learned. I now feel poised to jump full force into growing my business, in the coming months and years. If anyone asks me if they should pursue wedding and event planning certification through Lovegevity, my answer will be a resounding yes!

This is the love story of a couple from different worlds…she is a little older and business driven, but loves the idea of relaxing on the beach…Nate is an outdoorsman and loves the mountains. He dreamt of a wedding on a hillside, smoking meat over a fire, but loved Malisa enough to compromise on the beach.

Project 1

Posted By Can Guneyli, Monday, May 13, 2019
Updated: Monday, May 13, 2019

My name is Can and I am 26 year old. I’m from the Netherlands and I currently am a flight attendant. My passion is to travel the world and enjoy the all the beauty the world has to offer. I have decided to become a wedding & event planner because I see a wedding as one of the most beautiful moments in our lives. And I would love to help people make that day memorable. I want to be successful planner in my country and also organize destinations weddings and business events. I had decided to start project 1 a bit later than week two. However, it has been very very useful to learn about wedding planning in a practical way. I enjoy the course a lot. It is a lot more intense than I had expected. But I am loving every part of it. Project 1 includes my cousin and her fiancé who will have their wedding in October 2019. She already has planned her wedding. But I’m presenting this also to her to inspire and and potentially add things to her wedding.

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Kayce Drasher, Saturday, May 11, 2019

Hi my name is Kayce. I am from Sullivan County New York, home of the 1969 Woodstock Music Festival. I started my company about 6 years ago. I have been in the wedding industry since I was 14 years old. I have decided I want to grow my company and do even more weddings and make this business my fulltime job. So I used a real wedding that I am currently working on this is the story of Siobhan and Travis. Destiny brought them together. They will be getting married at her grandparents Lakehouse on their private lake. So the theme is Nature. Keeping the wedding simple, fun, and down to earth just like the couple they are!

Hey, I'm Sarah. I am from Houston, TX. I'm currently working on getting my Wedding and Event Planner Certification at Lone Star College through Lovegevity University.

I had fun making Project 1 because it gave me visual of everything needed to have in a wedding. My theme is greenery but modern at the same time. I think it's cool when you bring together two different themes and make it your own into one.

Updated: Thursday, May 9, 2019

My name is Angeline Thompson and I am originally from Manila, Philippines. English is my second language and I am fluent in Tagalog. I am currently pursuing a career in the medical field and I'am  finishing my schooling as a Wedding Planner under CWEP.

Please come and join us while we celebrate our 10 TH Annual “Philippines Independence Day  Event” that will commence on 15 June 2019 that will be located at Winnebago in Tomah, WI. I will be Managing and assisting with guests from different cities in WI and different States. We will have a lot of fun and we will play games. We will be serving Asian Dishes and some American Dishes. I will be presenting my business aspects and providing brochures to the audience concerning the types of Wedding Planner capabilities and experiences. I will provide an easy to read pocket guide for the guests that will be getting married that will include a form and a bridal party checklist. For my first clients, I will give away items to the first 10 clients that will consist of a customized tote bag and two pairs of shoes, “B2B and G2B” to promote my business. I used Canva and Pinterest for my sample ideas. I do customize individual’s items like mugs, dining plates, and much more in my sublimation business.

I had an opportunity to manage decorations for 1 High School Graduation, 2 Weddings, 1 Birthday Party, and 1 Patriot’s Graduation thus far. Plan A was for the Caterer and if they failed to show up on the day of the wedding, I projected a Plan B to order from another restaurant that will be ready for pick up at any time. I have transportation available whenever needed.

Thanks to my Husband and friends for supporting me and finishing project 2. I learned so much.

CWEP Assignment 1.3

Posted By Allison K. Moeller, Wednesday, May 8, 2019
Updated: Thursday, May 9, 2019

Hi, My name is Allison and I am from California. I am 22 years old and have been trying to figure out what career path I want to take for a couple years now. I have previously worked as a server, a nanny and in retail. I got married last year and planned every single detail of my wedding. After planning my wedding, I realized that I had a passion for wedding planning. I am very detail oriented and know that I will enjoy the process of planning weddings and events. I always have wanted a career where I can be my own boss and run my own business. I am excited to continue this course and start the steps to create and build my own wedding and event planning business. I am so excited that I have found a passion and am turning it into my career! My goal is to have a successful wedding and event planning business and to be my own boss!

For this project I decided to create a mood board for a tropical destination wedding. I used the A8 formula to choose 8 photos to represent each area of the event experience. I wanted this mood board to showcase all of the tropical vibes that would be included through the entire wedding.

I wanted this wedding to feel very tropical with all of the greenery and small pops of bright color. I also wanted to include fun elements like the mimosa bar and photo booth. I really enjoyed this assignment and it really has made me excited to learn more throughout this course!

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Rebecca Hayter, Wednesday, May 8, 2019

Hello Everyone! My name is Rebecca Hayter and this is my first time making a mood board, I really enjoyed it!

This wedding has an Art Deco theme that's based off of the "Roaring 20's" and has a very vintage feel. It's romantic, elegant, and warm. The main colors are emerald, gold, white and blush. The wedding ceremony and reception will take place in Chicago, Illinois at an old car factory which has been refurbished.

The couple, SaraLouise and Eric, met at a swing dancing event and love everything to do with the stars. They have combined both their meeting and their loves into this Art Deco theme which is very near and dear to them. They have a live swing band throughout the event, a moon photo booth for guests to snap a memory of, swing dancing performances with a lesson afterwards for the guests to learn a few steps.

Cocktail hour with hors d'oeuvres while the couple takes pictures followed by a catered dinner and a dessert bar for the guests to enjoy.  A sparkler send off ends the night as the couple get into a 1922 Ford Model T that sweeps them off to their honeymoon.

With jazz music ringing in their ears, the guests depart with their gifts of handcrafted feather fans and pictures from the the photo booth. They will always remember this wedding and the love that SaraLouise and Eric share.

HI guys!

My name is Sarah. I am from Oregon.  I am really loving this class! It's a little stressful at times between running full time daycare for 16 kids, my own 3 kids and getting all my classwork and projects done.

I am also currently planning my wedding as well as my best friend Kristin's wedding. She is the my client and inspiration for my project 1.

It has been really helpful working on this assignment to help in both the planning of Kristin's wedding and my own.

CWE Project 1

Posted By Daiana Montilla (M), Sunday, May 5, 2019

Hi! My name is Daiana Montilla. My goal as an event planner is to make everyone's special day memorable. This is exactly the reason why I'm taking this course. I want to become knowledgeable in this field and be able to release all the stress that an event can cause on my clients, and at the same time live the excitement with them. I have been doing event planning for about 8 months. I have done 10 events and and a total of 20 rentals. Not bad for a company so young. I have been taking this class for three weeks and learned so much information from my instructor. I am confident that this will guide me through this challenging field of event planner.
Royal prince baby shower is what I chose to present as project #1, it was an exciting experience as I got to choose colors, flavors, designs and details, that are important to make that beautiful event unforgettable. My favorite color is royal blue, this is why it was easy for me to combine these colors. I decided to use gold because the contrast with blue is beautiful, and I also included white to blend in with the flowers and throne Chair. This project gave me the experience of finding vendors, venues, food, games, and putting together everything I needed to organize any event. Baby showers are one of my favorite events, because it is the celebration of the arrival of a baby. And also a very special day in a couples life. The type of food I have selected is based on the couple's culture, both from the Dominican Republic. I organized the time line in a way that the future parents get to enjoy their party as well as record some memories.

CWEP Project 3 - Launching Your Business

Posted By Adriana Jimenez, Sunday, May 5, 2019
Updated: Sunday, May 5, 2019
My name is Adriana Jimenez and this is my Project 3. This project is for the launch of our new business, A & A Weddings and Events. It's almost time for our Grand Opening!  There is so much to do, but I am so excited to start working on my business along with my daughter, Alexa.   Planning our Grand Opening is going to be a great way for us to work on the same project using our own style, ideas and personal touches for the Grand Opening event.
Our event will be raising money for Mission Arlington.  We will be holding a raffle for a Gift Card Tree.  The gift cards will be donated by local merchants and restaurants.
Our main goal in this business is to be financially and reputably successful.  The best way to accomplish our goal is to be able to provide the best service and the most special event each client can have.  We will work with any budget.   Everyone deserves a beautiful wedding or special event, and we will do our best to make that happen.
This is the last project of our CWEP course.  I'm sad but also relieved that it is over. It has been a very interesting and helpful class. There is so much to learn in such a short time. I have really enjoyed this class and everything it has taught me so I can be a successful CWEP.
I can’t wait to get started planning our next event after the launch of our new business.
for more information about our company and the services we provide.

CWEP Project 2

Posted By Adriana Jimenez, Saturday, May 4, 2019

Hello again!  My name is Adriana Jimenez and this is my Project 2.

I have been working on this project every chance I get so I can finally finish all of my projects and get my Certification.  It has been hard getting started, but once I'm on a roll, it all falls into place.

My project is Selling Your Services.  I created a presentation which will show the client the types of services our company, A & A Weddings and Events, offers. I have also included the price for each type of service and what the 3 service packages plus the "Day Of" service package include.  We also offer a DIY Class as a special service to our clients.  We will be designing centerpieces and other wedding or event decorations for the DIY clients out there.  My daughter and business partner, Alexa and I have always loved creating and we would love to pass that service on to all our clients who are looking for a more personal touch to their special day.

I have created a mood board that represents the color palette that I have chosen for our business brand.  I have also included our company logo and a link to my mock website to give you an idea of what I'd like our website to look like when we finally launch our business.  I have chosen pale blue, soft rose, mint green, sand and gray colors and a pleasant font for our logo and website.  I hope you all like it. https://sites.google.com/view/aaweddingsandevents/home

On to my final project!

Project 2

Posted By Rylie Olson, Friday, May 3, 2019

Endless Events LLC is a wedding and event company that will plan all events such as weddings, baby showers, bridal showers, birthday parties, amazing races and road rallies. For weddings, packages, we will offer anything between day-of-coordination to full service planning. We plan to use social media as one of our main marketing tools as well as eventually creating a website. We would be focusing on Chicago suburbs as our market and there is not a specific type of wedding we would focus in on.

Our goal for year 1 would be to book and plan three weddings. During this first year, we would hold wedding seminars for engaged couples and post frequently on social media sites. We would be running the business out of our homes and we would still be working our current jobs, so this would be more of a “side job”. We would be working on establishing our social media sites as well as our marketing materials. Our 5-year plan would be to book around ten to fifteen weddings per year. At this point in the business, we would hope to have our website up and running. We would be attending different wedding expos to help with extending our services to other towns and cities. Our 10-year plan would be to have this business be our source of income and full-time job. We would hope to have more staff as well as our own office. We would like to have anywhere between twenty and thirty weddings a year at this point in time as well.

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Danielle Satterwhite, Friday, May 3, 2019
Updated: Friday, May 3, 2019

Hi ya’ll! My name is Danielle Satterwhite, and I currently live in Austin, TX! I was born and raised in Texas, but have lived in North Carolina before. I worked for the wedding industry for a couple of years in North Carolina. Life happened and I quit working and became a stay at home mom (very much work, but I don’t get paid). I have always loved working in the wedding industry, specifically as an assistant wedding planner. I decided to get back into pursuing my dreams, and this is the first step towards it. I would love to gain more experience working for a wedding venue so one day I could own and operate my very own. I have found taking a self-study course relies a lot on your self motivation, and how much you really want to pursue your passion. It has been a up and down road for me finishing this course, but I have learned self-motivation, focus, and discipline is key in owning your own business. This project is based on a couples vision and dream for their upcoming wedding in fall of 2020. They are a very laid back couple that simply wants guests to enjoy good food, drinks and great entertainment! My presentation reflects exactly that, with small details that reflect the couple.

My name is Juhi Anitia, a soon-to-be certified Wedding and Event Planner through The Wedding Planning Institute, a division of Lovegevity. My experience at Lovegevity has equipped me with the knowledge and skills I need to fully execute an event from inception to completion. I am grateful for the chance to acquire the tools needed to live the life I dream of. I think the projects were instrumental in my preparation. They provided an opportunity for practical application of the information covered and helped me to lay the foundation for my business.  Project 3, Grand Opening was a good way to put all the pieces together. I eagerly look forward to officially launching in the near future.

Project 1

Posted By Ruth Maloy, Thursday, May 2, 2019
My name is Ruth Maloy, from a rural part of Illinois west of Chicago. I am an executive assistant that also takes care of all of the conferences and tradeshows we attend. My passion is planning. I plan all the time. I have been doing events by word of mouth for over 25 years. Some of those events include weddings, parties, amazing races, city scavenger hunts, and road rallies to name a few. This first project was a great way to get the class motivated and to let them show how they see things from a planning perspective. I enjoyed having a budget and putting my skills to the test. My project was for a newly engaged couple who have been dating for many years and have decided to make it official. They would like to bring some of the colors they plan to use for the wedding and introduce them at this engagement party.
