Project 1

Posted By Adesola Rosiji, Saturday, December 1, 2018
I thoroughly enjoyed Project 1. I was able to do research and use this as a template for a real wedding I will be planning next year.  It allowed me more creative control and the direction i would like to go with my planning.

Project # 3

Posted By Sully Arias-Serna, Friday, November 30, 2018

Project 3 allowed to fully prepare for my business launch. It helped me begin to consider how I can plan an event that represents my business and my brand. It was different type of event since I am designing my visions and expectations, as oppose to design for a clients vision.

Corks and Confetti event planning is proud to be hosting our Champagne launch party this coming January 2019.

Join us while and enjoy refreshment, snacks, live entertainment and much more. While we get to demonstrate how we can make your future events personalize and unique.

Project # 1

Posted By Sully Arias-Serna, Friday, November 30, 2018
Project#1 was the most fun of all the project because the focus of the project was not so much based on the business or marketing aspect of this industry. It allowed me to be more creative and provide me future clients what an understand of the event from beginning to end.

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Kayla Slaughter, Friday, November 30, 2018
My name is Kayla and I am new to the idea of being a wedding planner.  I help and take the initiative to plan my own as well as some of my friend's parties and I absolutely love it!

My best friend just got engaged and is anticipating a beach style wedding.  While I'm not using her choices that she has already made in planning her wedding for my project, I am indeed using her as the inspiration behind my project!  This was such a fun part of the project and I can't wait to see what the rest of this course has in store for me!

CWEP Project 3

Posted By Harrison Fink, Thursday, November 29, 2018
Updated: Thursday, November 29, 2018

Since I am already working for an event venue, my project three will be consisting of helping plan our New Years Eve party. This will be our third year hosting and the first year that we are hosting a Rock and Roll Hall of fame band “the Parliament”! The Party will be a mostly formal event with complementary food and drinks for the first two hours and a New Years champagne toast on the house!

Guests will find information about the event and get invitations by going online to Eventbrite and purchasing the ticket package the suits them the best. There are several different options including our basic entry into the space, to our premium option of open-bar the entire night with top shelf liquour and craft cocktails! Guests who use our discount at the Graduate hotel will also receive complementary transportation to and from the Hof every 30 minutes by the Graduates shuttle bus.

Once inside, people will be able to enjoy our complementary latin American buffet and for the first two hours, our open bar as well. The main headlines will be The Parliament Funk band and Black Masala, the Highly energetic gypsy rock band. While our headlines perform in our main space on the second floor, we will be having an acoustic musician; Corey Axt, in the first floor taproom and several DJ’s in our Second floor lounge.

The whole idea for this party is to showcase our space to prospective clients and catch the attention of potential clients as well. This event is grand and ticket are moderately expensive, but we aren’t making a large profit off of it and it will be acting more as a gateway to future event bookings. We are not doing any donations to any non-profits, but a portion of our proceeds will be going towards a staff member that has been with us through the beginning that went through open-heart surgery.

The event ties in very well with our Brand image, which is a space were no one is discriminated and anyone and everyone can feel welcome and interact comfortably.

CWEP-Project 2

Posted By Leandra McCall, Thursday, November 29, 2018

LJM Consultings is an event coordinating business, specializing in weddings. The services that are offered are Day of Coordinating, Partial and Full Coordinating Service, as well as bridal styling. What is unique about Bridal styling, it is for those who need professional assistance in selecting a bridal gown. LJM Consultings will find you the best bridal salons with your style and budget in mind, attend your appointments, and let you in on the best kept secrets to gown shopping. Also, for that special day we will be there to dress you from head to toe, make sure everything is in place during your photo session, and bustle you to perfection for your reception!

By the one year mark, I plan to be interning with a reputable wedding planner as well as booked 2 weddings for the year.

Five years time, I will host a launch party where I can debut my brand, as well as network with vendors and coordinators. LJM Consultings will also have an up and running website as well as be relocated to another state. Also, I would like to complete the Lovegevity Master Class.

10 years time, I wish to mentor and intern young women and men who are in their beginning phases of wedding planning. There is nothing more rewarding than investing in others, what was invested in you!

Cwep Project 1

Posted By Lindsay Finnie, Wednesday, November 28, 2018
Updated: Wednesday, November 28, 2018

Hello classroom,

My name is Lindsay Finnie and I attend Lovegevity at Lehman College in New York.  By far Wedding and Event planning suits my personality and skills perfectly.  I have worked as a server and bartender for over 15 years at a wide variety of restaurants and hotels in New York City.  I wish I had pursued a more specific study in the hospitality industry during undergrad because thru Lovegevity, I have realized that event planning is exactly what I want to do.

I plan to run an event planning business that covers all events.  I have learned thru this course that Weddings are probably the most demanding event, so I want to keep my options open in order to provide service to a multiple of people.  I noticed that Weddings were the event's majority when doing this first project.  So, I wanted to switch it up a little bit and present a baby shower instead.  My favorite part about this project was learning the A8's guideline.  Once I developed my A8's, the rest of the project pretty much fell into place.  Lastly, this project was a great sneak peak into what event planning entails and it was amazing that thru the project, you can watch your vision grow.

Posted By Keerston Green, Monday, November 26, 2018

Hello my name is Keerston Green and I am currently located in Richmond, VA. I am recent graduate of Virginia Union University, where I planned and facilitated numerous organizational and catering events. Prior to attending college, I assisted my mother with parties and events she had for years. Arranging these events has given me a strong passion for event planning and the desire to become a certified wedding and event planner. Attending my first course ensured me that I had made the right decision to not only purse my certification, but to start my own business. I have learned a tremendous of amount and I look forward to utilizing all of the knowledge I have obtained.

Hi!  I'm Akeria Kelley.  My experience in this course has been eye opening and I have learned so many things that I was unaware of.  This project was challenging at first being that I had a couple of issues with Canva, but I pushed through.  I have enjoyed this course thus far and would recommend it anyone that wants to get into the industry.

Updated: Monday, November 26, 2018

Hello everyone! My name is Zoe Bergmann. I took this class because I was tired of the terrible schedules and low pay I was receiving at other jobs. With this business I can set my own hours and I wont have to work holidays so I can spend more time with my family. I graduate next week and I'm so excited! I have already created social media, a website, and business cards for myself. I have also had two brides message me so far inquiring about pricing and other things I do. The future is bright! Thanks all!
