CWEP Project 1

Posted By Natalie M. Acord, Saturday, May 25, 2019
Updated: Sunday, May 26, 2019
This project was so fun because i'm already a Pinterest addict and I've always wondered how the pins with multiple slides were created. Now I know! I am new to canva so that was a little bit of a challenge as the site has changed a little bit since the tutorial was done. I am in the process of remodeling a 10,000 sq ft barn on 6 acres of land as a wedding venue that I recently purchased which is the reason why I enrolled in this class. My mood board is a reflection of what I have in mind for my grand opening celebration.

Florida Weddings

Posted By Maggie Robistow, Saturday, May 25, 2019

Hi everyone! My name is Maggie and I currently live in Southwest Florida. I am working on my last year in my bachelors degree. I am excited to be apart of such an inspiring and creative business, and after I complete this course I plan to start my own business. I decided to take this course when I decided design, love, and working for myself would help me to create a life where I work from the comfort of my computer and home, a career that gives me the ability to travel, organize, design, and connect. I know that passion is what drives success, and to have a career that excites you will lead you to your dreams. For my first canva board, I decided to create a beach wedding. To begin I thought this would be a good start as beach weddings can be low cost, simple, yet elegant and creative. I chose a color scheme or light blues, pinks, and white. I chose these colors to go with the bright blue sky and ocean, that will turn to a colorful one with pinks, peaches, and purples at sunset. Florida is a very popular place for weddings, so this is where I wanted to begin.

I just finished my project 2 and had a lot of fun! I really liked developing my packages and "selling" myself to a client. I think doing all these tasks and assignments will really help me get my website design set up.

CWEP PROJECT 1

Posted By Nikita Contelmo, Tuesday, May 21, 2019
Updated: Tuesday, May 21, 2019

Hi, my name is Nikita and I am currently living in Richmond, VA. I just graduated from VCU and I am excited to start my career as a wedding planner. Over the next few years I plan to work for a wedding planning company and gain experience. My end goal is to start my own wedding planning business.

Over the last few weeks I have enjoyed learning more about wedding planning and have enjoyed this course. For this project we needed to create a mood board. The mood board I created is for the more modern bride. A bride that is more into whimsical greenery. I really enjoyed creating this mood board because I feel that it gives various different options of what your greenery wedding could look like.

My project 1 was a chic beach wedding. I personally love the beach so this was a fun one for me. I loved how all the different shades of blue used are like the shades of the ocean.

My name is Shelby Baucher. I have a BS in Hospitality Management and am a wedding and events coordinator. I decided to take this course in hopes of learning a few more tips and tricks when it comes to event planning.

For this mood board, the client was looking for and elegant country club wedding. They wanted to use navy blue and burgundy with subtle accents of gold and rose gold. This board gives a perfect little taste of what their wedding could be!

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Abner Mendoza, Monday, May 20, 2019
Updated: Monday, May 20, 2019

Hi Everyone,

My name is Abner, I'm currently a Catering Manager at a high-end venue. I started my carreer as a server, and a major in communications, public relations. I started getting more responsibility as an Event Manager, and found my self needing more. Finally I took a risk, and move from my home town to become a Catering Manager. The connections I made, and making events very special to the client is a feeling a can put into too many words.

For this particular mood board, The client was looking at certain Items that caught her attention. She wants a rustic  wedding with pink, gold, and white colors, that would fit perfectly with a wedding in a rustic farm venue to give it a nature feel to it.

This is the perfect décor for her rustic-nature wedding!

Project 1- Hippy Bohemian Wedding

Posted By Melissa Jaramillo Beltran, Sunday, May 19, 2019

My name is Melissa Jaramillo and I am from colombia. I´m tourism manager and for nearly 1 year I worked like a event planner in a prestigous hotel chain. I moved to USA almost 6 months ago because here I have the chance to continue studying.Nevertheless my idea is go back to Colombia and start my own business.

I love planning events and I understand that every event is a world. So, the secret of plan the best events is learn how to be a good listener, be passionate on what we do and do the smalls details with love and meticulousness.

For my project 1, I have decided to capture my best friend´s ideas for her wedding. She is going to get married in december and she wants a hippy bohemian wedding with a simple and organic decoration, soft texture and rustical touch. Also the natural vibe is the key of the party.

Additionally, It will have their favorite photos in a boho-chi phot and she loves the idea of moving the party to the floor with big fluffy pillows.

PROJECT 1

Posted By lisa hamdalla, Sunday, May 19, 2019

Hi friends!

My name is Lisamarie, I am 26 and I am an Operations Manager for Target in Southern California. While I still have a career, my passion has always been event planning and bringing peoples visions to reality and bringing them happiness! So here I am taking on this new journey in becoming an event planner.

I have a few weddings I am helping out with, so for this assignment I decided to share the visions my friends have for their November wedding at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu. They're college sweethearts looking to celebrate their love with 200 family and friends. The atmosphere is a very romantic, elegant outdoor garden setting. They love the Navy, blush, burgundy, white colors, and lots of candles to set the tone. We've already sent out save the date invitations, and are planning on sending out the invites soon. The venue provides the catering, recommended DJ, and their college friend is doing their photography/videography. Flowers/Centerpieces are going to be done by a vendor we found off instagram! (IG: fleur.ish). The bouquet for the bride will be burghandy, white, blush, and minimal greenery. They wanted a unique cake, with flowers incorporated, but still wanted an elegant touch to it. The girls will wear burgandy dresses while the men wear navy suits. Accessories will be limited to the bride just wearing a pearl necklace from her grandmother. Food will be between steak and chicken, veggies, and a salad to start.

The couple wanted to give out keys that are actually bottle openers with their wedding date engraved as party favors. Their send off will be sparklers, and for amusement during the wedding they will have a photobooth for three hours. Arrival will be a limo rented out for the bridal party and immediate family, and they will all be staying at the hotel the reception will be held at. Guests will have the option to stay at the Sheraton or Hilton which are 4 miles away from the venue.

Project 3 Complete, Formal Launch of I Do LLC is on the Way!

Posted By Deirdre M. Payne, Friday, May 17, 2019
https://www.facebook.com/will.webb.35175/videos/2176662242608615/

We are excited to announce that plans are in the works for the formal launch of I Do LLC. We are a Wedding and Event Planning business, serving Fredericksburg, Virginia and the surrounding areas. The company's Grand Opening event will be held at Brock’s Riverside Grille, in Fredericksburg, on September 25th, from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Brocks is a prime riverfront wedding reception venue. We will have a number of our preferred vendors on-site to showcase their services. There will also be food provided, by a local caterer and baker. I Do LLC will work with the Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank to accept donations and help fill the pantry's shelves, from September to November, when food supplies are at some of their lowest. Brides can enter to win a Wedding Party on Wheels, try out a photo booth, check out some wedding song options with a local DJ and pick up a cool swag bag from area vendors too.

The Grand Opening will be published in Fredericksburg's local newspaper. It will also be mentioned on two local radio stations and through an ad in The Fredericksburg Guidebook, Tourism publication. Finally, we will do a boots on the ground marketing campaign and place a placard on the Olde Skool Tours pedal bike, which is housed outside the Fredericksburg Visitor's Center.

We plan to continue to seek out and meet with local vendors, to build our offers for future brides and event clients. Our aggressive digital and boots on the ground marketing campaign is getting underway and testimonials are flowing in too. The first bridal “what’s next” is on tap, with the one year anniversary of an I Do LLC couple, this September. We are planning a video shoot for the opening of the time capsule that was at their wedding. A Style Shoot is also on tap with one of our preferred photographers and a bride that may be one of our future clients.

You may reach us at idoweddings.eventplanning@gmail.com.

Before starting this course I would never have imagined posting a blog or knowing this much about the wedding industry, in such a short time. I certainly never thought I would be this close to being able to launch my business, formally.  I am thrilled with this knowledge and look forward to putting my me skills to use with future bridal clients of I Do LLC.

Project 1 - Mood Board

Posted By Naomi Ohayon, Thursday, May 16, 2019

Hi, my name is Naomi, I am 31 and live in Toronto, Ontario. For nearly 6 years I worked as an educational assistant and I also hold a diploma as a law clerk. After realizing I was starting to burn out in the education field I decided I needed to find a new path in life. I have always been artistic, organized,  a good eye for detail, a big romantic and interested in wedding planning. I decided to bite the bullet and broaden my horizons and jump into a new career path.

I am so excited to be starting this new path in my life, it's the happiest I have ever been. I am looking forward to using all my knowledge that I have gained from this course in the real world and to start my new career in event planning company/ or event planning team at a venue.

I am the maid of honour in my best friends wedding, so I decided to use her wedding for my project. She doesn't have much planned for her wedding, but she did have the vibe of how she wants her wedding to be. She wants a rustic autumn barn wedding, with her colour scheme being burgundy and burnt orange.  I took her minimal ideas and built my project from there. My goal is that my project can help her with ideas for her big day. I am so excited to be able to use my resources and experience with doing my project to help build her wedding from the ground up!

Project 1

Posted By Rachel Quinn, Thursday, May 16, 2019

I’m Rachel Quinn, a former marketing professional from Ellicott City, Maryland. I fell in love with event planning while putting on different functions on behalf of clients — it was so satisfying to me to see a brand come together in the form of decor, signage and a united look-and-feel. I’ve always loved design and so when it came time to plan my own wedding, I had so much fun with the process and found that it was so quick and painless for me (when I had only heard horror stories from others), that I wanted to make this my full time career.

This course has been wonderful so far. The assignments are certainly thorough and test your knowledge to the very detail, but I find that it’s so important especially when entertaining into an industry where details can make-or-break a bride’s day.

For this project, I envisioned the following scenario:

Tori and Matt’s special day will be held on December 21, 2019 at 4:00p. They met at a holiday Christmas party, so it was important to them to get married at a similar time of year and represent the beautiful union that was formed on this day. Both the bride and groom have very simplistic, rustic styles with a bit of “hip” flare, and want this to shine through in all of their wedding decor. They would like a space that accommodates both a ceremony and a reception so that their guests do not need to travel to two different locations during the winter weather season. Their wedding color scheme is ivy green, champagne and black - to match the warm, dark tones of the winter season.

Project 3

Posted By Rachel Patton, Monday, May 13, 2019
I enjoyed this final project! I love incorporating philanthropy into events and this was a great way to do so. My theme is "A Night Under the Stars" because I love beautiful outdoor venues and the night sky with pretty lights to accentuate! There will be a lot of activities for people of all ages to enjoy. I want this night to be classy and magical. There will be informational sessions, food, drink, dancing, and chances for people to get personal with the donation process!

CWEP Project 1- Mood Board

Posted By Deirdre M. Payne, Monday, May 13, 2019

My name is Deirdre Payne and I am the proud Owner of I Do LLC., in Virginia. In my past corporate life, I have planned everything from chili cook offs and golf tournaments to auto shows, bridal shows and yes…weddings. I am thrilled with the knowledge that becoming certified has brought and am incredibly excited to put it to work helping future wedding and event clients “make getting to “I Do” easier.”

I was not sure how deep this course would be and I am amazed and overwhelmed with all that I have learned. I now feel poised to jump full force into growing my business, in the coming months and years. If anyone asks me if they should pursue wedding and event planning certification through Lovegevity, my answer will be a resounding yes!

This is the love story of a couple from different worlds…she is a little older and business driven, but loves the idea of relaxing on the beach…Nate is an outdoorsman and loves the mountains. He dreamt of a wedding on a hillside, smoking meat over a fire, but loved Malisa enough to compromise on the beach.

Updated: Monday, May 13, 2019

My name is Can and I am 26 year old. I’m from the Netherlands and I currently am a flight attendant. My passion is to travel the world and enjoy the all the beauty the world has to offer. I have decided to become a wedding & event planner because I see a wedding as one of the most beautiful moments in our lives. And I would love to help people make that day memorable. I want to be successful planner in my country and also organize destinations weddings and business events. I had decided to start project 1 a bit later than week two. However, it has been very very useful to learn about wedding planning in a practical way. I enjoy the course a lot. It is a lot more intense than I had expected. But I am loving every part of it. Project 1 includes my cousin and her fiancé who will have their wedding in October 2019. She already has planned her wedding. But I’m presenting this also to her to inspire and and potentially add things to her wedding.

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Kayce Drasher, Saturday, May 11, 2019

Hi my name is Kayce. I am from Sullivan County New York, home of the 1969 Woodstock Music Festival. I started my company about 6 years ago. I have been in the wedding industry since I was 14 years old. I have decided I want to grow my company and do even more weddings and make this business my fulltime job. So I used a real wedding that I am currently working on this is the story of Siobhan and Travis. Destiny brought them together. They will be getting married at her grandparents Lakehouse on their private lake. So the theme is Nature. Keeping the wedding simple, fun, and down to earth just like the couple they are!

Project 1

Posted By Sarah Ruiz, Thursday, May 9, 2019

Hey, I'm Sarah. I am from Houston, TX. I'm currently working on getting my Wedding and Event Planner Certification at Lone Star College through Lovegevity University.

I had fun making Project 1 because it gave me visual of everything needed to have in a wedding. My theme is greenery but modern at the same time. I think it's cool when you bring together two different themes and make it your own into one.
