CWEP Project 2

Posted By Pinar Akalin, Wednesday, January 9, 2019
Hey I am Pinar, from Wedding and Event Planning certificate program. Before i start that project i have no idea about my services, packages or company name. But with enough knowledge and passion you can always make things happen and make them real. Now i exactly know what will be my services and packages and also my company name. Thanks for making this real for me. Also i want to talk about my company a little bit. My company's name will be Fairy Tale Weddings by pinar. And my goal is to make your dreams come true as a fairytale. Everything will be start with a ‘’Once upon a time.. And ends with a ‘’happily ever after’’.I plan for every possible outcome and strive for perfection. For that reason i have some different kind of packages but every package have some common 3 things. Which are; Costumized planning notebook, Provision of a complete emergency kit, Complimentary initial meeting.

Mood board and Pinterest

Posted By Darcy Sinsley, Tuesday, January 8, 2019

Hi!

I just started chapter 1 and I am a bit awkward with the program but know with time I'll learn and it'll get easier.  I am going to do all the objectives so I learn what there is to do in the business.  I am actually Lovegevity alumni.  graduated in 2009 but had small children which took my attention and I didn't have the opportunity to launch my business.  Im excited to refresh my "fire" and dive back into this.  I did my first wedding May 2018 and knew I have more to learn.

I created a mood board using my daughter's wedding.

I also have my business facebook page as well https://www.facebook.com/Treasured-Memories-Events-458468650842205/

Just started learning Instragram.  Thankfully I have 2 kids along with nieces and nephews to help me

Looking forward to getting to know you and learning your projects through you

Monday, January 7, 2019

Hello everyone, it's me again lol Michelle Dent.  Project 3 is completed and it was quite an experience to say the least. This project was cool and fun because it was fun creating something uniquely your own with a signature style that no one else can replicate. This project is the prototype of what my future business will look lke i.e. types of events and services. If you are going to do something, do it big I say. These are my ideas of what my future grand opening will look like.

Project #1

Posted By sandra Alonso Rivas, Monday, January 7, 2019

Hi everyone, my name is Sandra Alonso, I am from Spain but I spend around half of the year in Florida. Before I started this course I studied Hospitality for 6 years (4 in Spain and 2 in Iowa). I decide to study this because i really love everything that surrounds a wedding and I am always looking for the tv programs about wedding planning, bride dresses or anything related to weddings; I also wanted to take a new path in the hospitality industry to open new possibilities for my future.

It is been only 1/3 of the course but I'm really excited about what is coming and what I already did. This project feels like it took so long to have it done but I am satisfied with the result and I didn't mind at all to spend that much time to finish it.

This project gives a general idea about wedding planning, with some details about every part/step to plan a wedding. It has an informal appearance as the style of the wedding as well as everything is designed into the colors palette chosen.

Project 3

Posted By Jennifer Nunez, Saturday, January 5, 2019
Hello everyone, Jennifer Nunez here again. I completed project 3. I really enjoyed putting this project together, because it's fun creating something that's not there yet but at least there's an idea on what you would like to do. This project shows at least an image of what type of events I'll like to do. Which was very interesting to me because I never knew I would like something elegant or big and nice but I really enjoyed this. This is my idea of how ill have my grand opening.

Project 2

Posted By Jennifer Nunez, Saturday, January 5, 2019
Hello everyone, my name is Jennifer Nunez. So here I completed project 2, which was kind of challenging and fun because there's lots of things you need to think about when opening a new business. In doing this project I discovered a lot of things about myself for example on the type of services I want to offer and the type of people I want to work with. So I hope you enjoy what I have to offer and I'm ready for the next step.

CWEP Project 3

Updated: Friday, January 4, 2019

Hello everyone! My name is Haileigh Parkhurst and I am from northern Michigan. I met my husband while we were in high school and after six years we decided to tie the knot. Two years of being married to the love of my life with a wonderful blessed four year old as well! I am becoming a certified wedding and event planner. I'm almost done with the course and I couldn't be more excited to pursue my dreams to make sure everyone who books through me will have there visions turn into reality.

On April 2nd, 2019 Gorgeous Gala will be having their big grand opening. Anyone is welcome to stop by and take a tour, look at our packages, and have a quick consultation if wanting. Our address is 1291 West main st, Gaylord, MI. The Grand Opening of my business will be huge in the small town I live in. I will be willing to travel within a 40 mile radius when we launch. The color scheme will be an elegant style featuring dusty gold, and white. I will partner with a few vendors for a bridal show runway with the big finale of our clients modeling the dresses, and we will be announcing the winner of the free ticket you received apon arrival. All donations received at the event will be going to our local charity.

I have really enjoyed taking this course and I have learned so much. The templates used to direct you are an amazing tool! This project was the hardest one yet but it was super fun experiencing the aspects of believing myself 100% and selling my business.

Project 1-CWEP Lehman College

Posted By Michelle Dent, Friday, January 4, 2019
Updated: Friday, January 4, 2019

Thursday January 3, 2019

Updated Friday, January 4, 2019

Hi, my name is Michelle Dent and I currently reside in New Jersey. My goals as a Certified Wedding and Event Planner are to obtain much more hands on experience in assisting at weddings, corporate and social events and owning and operating a full service event design, management and planning company as a sole proprietor or with a business partner (s). This class has been both personally and professionally rewarding in that it has opened my eyes to the opportunities out there in the world of event planning.

Project 1 was very challenging and exciting simultaneously because there a lot details that are involved in planning a wedding/social event which can be time consuming and stressful. However, once the pieces of the puzzle come together the end result (s) is/are a memorable event (s) that clients and their guests enjoy, refer family, friends and co workers and talk about for years to come. Get ready because this may very well be the beginning of eveything for starting your own business.

So without further adieu, I present to you Danielle's Surprise Send-off Party. She has no idea! Whether it is a wedding/social event everything is in the details such as the decorations, food, lighting, photobooth, favors etc. It really is all about the details for sure.

Regards,

Michelle Dent

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Eboni Davis, Friday, January 4, 2019
Hello, My name is Eboni Davis. I decided to create my mood board a little differently than some of the ones I have seen. The images are things that have motivated me to want to become an event planner. There's a picture of myself and 10 year old son. A picture of treat bags I made for my god daughter birthday party. The "blessed" image is what I have tattooed on me for my faith. The semi colon I have tattooed as well for the semi colon project. The picture of the mother and daughter is symbolic of me looking up to my own mother. The picture of me on a hill was taken while in South Dakota with my National Guard unit, I like to travel and serve my country. The last picture is a just a motivational quote that I thought was nice. All of these pretty much  sums up my personality.

CWEP #2 Lindsay Finnie

Posted By Lindsay Finnie, Wednesday, January 2, 2019

Hi classroom.  Lindsay here again from Lehman College Lovegevity in New York.  Back to share with you guys that I just completed the 2nd project.  This project I found to be a lot more specific and geared towards finding out what your individual "niche" maybe in this industry.  I really enjoyed this project because I felt I uncovered some more ideas that I might invest in that will add on to the planning side of things that I never would have considered before.  Thanks for letting me share and hope everyone had a blessed holiday.  HAPPY NEW YEAR FRIENDS!

Peace & love.  Happy New Year,

CWEP Lehman Project 2

Posted By Jasmin Castillo, Wednesday, January 2, 2019
My name is Jasmin and I just completed project 2. I found it to be an easy project because I already had an idea of what services I wanted to offer in my business. I've been planning corporate events and fundraisers for several years so planning comes naturally to me. I enjoyed putting all of my ideas into one project so that I'm prepared for the next chapter.

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Angela Dillon, Monday, December 31, 2018
For my CWEP Project 1 I developed a collage for a vintage summer wedding. Colors for the wedding included blush pink and mint. This wedding would occur in early June outdoors and include elements of the collage. The furniture and elements of the wedding were pulled from research from local vendors in my area. Some I have already used as I have planned weddings for friends and family.

CWEP #3 18.6 assignment

Posted By Lindsay Finnie, Monday, December 31, 2018
Updated: Monday, December 31, 2018

Hi Class,

My name is Lindsay and happy to complete the projects.CWEP #3 was the best.I am so excited to actually see what the future holds for me with event planning. While doing this project, I realized how many options will be available and all the different channels that can be used to coordinate an event.

After all my years working as apart of the front of house staff, I've grown a large desire to own my own food and beverage service venue.I think my son's nickname, Izzy is a fun name to say and pretty hip.Izzy's sounds like a classic New York City speakeasy.

I started looking into wedding planner companies that I'm interested in working for after graduation.Second quarter of the year is known to be prime time for hiring in the hospitality industry. Also, I am considering working for a hotel franchise and obtaining corporate credentials.

Well, thats all for now, but I am going to keep blogging to share updates.I look forward to hearing about others progression in they're wedding/event planning career as well.

Staying connected,

Lindsay Finnie

Project 1

Posted By Alyssa M. Whitacre, Friday, December 28, 2018

My name is Alyssa Whitacre, I am from a suburb of Chicago called Gurnee. I am currently a junior at Monmouth College studying public relations. I am working on my wedding and event planning certification now, so I do not have to do it after I graduate in May 2020, and I can just go right into planning weddings and events! My goal is to open my own successful wedding and event planning business in South Carolina.

I started this course last week and have completed the first two sections. I spent a lot of time working on this project, and I am very proud about how it turned out.

The project focuses on a young couple: Kendall and Kyle. Kendall and Kyle met while studying abroad in Spain, so I wanted there to be hints of that in their wedding. I added salsa dancers to bring that aspect in. The red is for their love and passion, and roses represent that.

Project 2

Posted By Angela Cloutier, Thursday, December 27, 2018
Hello!  My name is Angela.  I just finished Project 2, and I am very happy with the end result.  I enjoyed the business aspect of this project as it made this journey a little bit more realistic.  I create my project by introducing myself, offering a variety of my services, and I created questionnaires for brides and grooms.  I also created a vendor list that potential clients can call for references as well.  Lastly, I included marriage license information, wedding education information, civil service ceremony information, as well as a variety of checklists.  My essay included short and long-term goals for my business.  Overall, I really enjoyed this project, and I am hoping by prospective clients will like it as well when I transfer a lot of this information on my website.

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Lesa Lewis, Wednesday, December 19, 2018
Updated: Sunday, December 23, 2018

Hello all! My name is Lesa and I live in the Atlanta, GA area. I am currently a Licensed Social Worker; however, I have been dreaming about becoming a bridal consultant for a number of years. I finally decided to invest in my dream to help turn it into my reality!

Project 1 was amazing! It helped me to appreciate the tireless hours that goes into planning an event and getting all the details of the bride and groom's vision perfectly right.

My clients met online on a dating site. They chose the groom's favorite color (wine) and the bride's favorite color (pink) and sort of meshed the two together to create this perfect melody of winter meets spring summer. The wedding will be held June 2019 in the Atlanta area at a venue in which the wedding will be outside and the reception will be held inside.  She appears elegant so I wanted to capture her elegance in the theme.  Also, the venue has an upscale New Orleans feel, which is perfect because the groom is from New Orleans.

The goal of my mood board is to show their theme, which is Simple Elegance with a slight New Orleans Flair. Hope it is just as delightful to you as it was for me!
