Project 2

Posted By Katharine M. Mularczyk, Thursday, September 25, 2014
I'm Done!!!! Very first project completed. I had a real fun time creating this power point presentation. Not only did I enjoy creating this project, I also learned a lot from it. There were topics that I covered through reading the chapters and adding slides based on the outline, that I had no idea about ever before. I feel like I have a new outlook on wedding planning and I LOVE IT. I am so happy with this class and cannot wait to learn more about the businness.

PROJECT 1 | Planning A Wedding

Posted By Mercedes SaintFleur, Friday, September 5, 2014

I especially enjoyed this project not only because it gave me practice at creating a complete layout for an event as elaborate as a wedding, but it gave me the opportunity to generate ideas and inspiration for an ACTUAL wedding I am working on. I used my best efforts to design this wedding around the couple I am working with, while fulfilling project requirements. This project is also a fabulous addition to my portfolio for future use! My complete project can be found by visiting the following site:

Feel free to add comments, suggestions and any inquiries.

Enjoy!

Project #3

Posted By jenifer correa, Wednesday, August 20, 2014
My Name is Jenifer. I had been going back and forth about taking the course. After going through everything I am glad I took this course. I have learned so many things I did not know prior to the course. I am amazed at how much I took in, in so little time. Unfortunately the journey was long for me due to personal life situations, but the flexibility is what is great about the course. My goals are to start my business no matter how long it takes me. I want to see the smile on Brides faces when they see how their dreams can come true. It will happen and I know that doing all the things that I learned throughout this course will help me get to where I want to be. My business and my career as a Certified Wedding/Event Planner.

Want to Share my experience taking this course

Posted By Tarius Griffin, Friday, July 18, 2014
Updated: Friday, July 18, 2014

Hi my name is Tarius Griffin, I just want to say what a great time I have had creating my projects. This has brought to my attention how much I love planning events especially weddings. I am so thankful to LWPI for having such a great course. This program has taught me many things I didn’t know about planning a wedding or any event. This is well worth it. I look forward to coming back and telling you guys how great my business is doing after I take my final exam. I am in the process of getting my business started, thanks to LWPI, in such a short time I have learned the tools I need to succeed. I just can’t keep thanking you enough. I am very excited about starting my own business as a Wedding & Event Planner.

Love Tarius Griffin

Project 3: Sharing My Experience

Posted By Christine Kiyabu, Friday, May 16, 2014
Since I could not upload my Project 3 directly on to the website, I've submitted it through student support. However, I would still like share my experience with the course on this blog.

After a year since I first enrolled in LWPI, I have finally completed all three of my projects and self-assesment quizzes. Countless aspects of my life have changed while taking this course. There were many times when I felt like giving up on not only this course, but also a career in wedding planning.
I started this course in May, a month before my college graduation in California. I was very interested in the helpful information LWPI provided in all the chapters, and I was excited about my future career as a wedding planner. However, soon after my graduation in June, I was diagnosed with a rare brain disease, which I apparently had from a young age. I was told that it was quite amazing how I haven't suffered a major stroke yet, considering how long I lived without any treatment. I was told I was in need of special medical attention.
Yet, I already had a job lined up in Hawaii as a wedding planner. I was in denial of my health condition, and decided to fly to Hawaii to pursue my career. In the midst of my busy schedule with my new job and my body showing signs of overwork, I did not have the extra time to complete the course, and my LWPI membership expired in October.
By November, my body started showing dangerous symptoms, and I decided it was best to quit my job as a wedding planner and undergo surgery on both sides of my brain. Without a job and bad health, I felt like my future to become a wedding planner was slowly fading.
Yet, during my recovery period after surgery, I was able to sit down and take the time to complete my three projects. These projects reminded me why I was interested in becoming a wedding planner, and I realized my first step to getting back on track is to complete this course with a certification.
I understand that students usually take about six months to complete the course. However, similar to weddings, life doesn't always go as planned. Sometimes life hurls obstacles at us, discouraging us from fulfilling our goals.
Yet, I now feel my love for wedding planning strongly and clearly than ever before, and I am happy to say I have LWPI to thank for this.

PROJECT 3: SHE EVENT PLANNINGS GRAND OPENING!

Posted By Myesha Slaughter, Tuesday, April 29, 2014
It feels so good to me done with this program! I really enjoyed creating the weddings, and creating various themed packages and services to implement in my business. My most favorite parT of this was learning ways to market my business and the importance of the philantrophy. I also felt the most important thing I learned was the A6 formula and I felt the destinaton wedding research was very helpful. I love the overall knowledge we gained about what it means to be an wedding planner and what we should be aware of such as wedding ettiquette and how to obtain a marriage license in our area. All of the projects and assignments in this course really made me feel like what I was learning I could actually use in real life and to improve my business.

I love the wedding planning insitiute and I proud to become a CWEP!

Project 3.

I have fun during this courses, but have to do everything during my university short break because time limited (I'm a EdD student in a blended online/in-class course). The projects was not easy, but I'm happy to learn new things and enjoy it.

Project 2.

It is not easy for me since I'm not native English speaker, also an international student who don't familiar with Western wedding tradition. However, it was fun to do the projects as I process into the project 2.
