CWEP Project 1- Mood Board

Posted By Deirdre M. Payne, Monday, May 13, 2019

My name is Deirdre Payne and I am the proud Owner of I Do LLC., in Virginia. In my past corporate life, I have planned everything from chili cook offs and golf tournaments to auto shows, bridal shows and yes…weddings. I am thrilled with the knowledge that becoming certified has brought and am incredibly excited to put it to work helping future wedding and event clients “make getting to “I Do” easier.”

I was not sure how deep this course would be and I am amazed and overwhelmed with all that I have learned. I now feel poised to jump full force into growing my business, in the coming months and years. If anyone asks me if they should pursue wedding and event planning certification through Lovegevity, my answer will be a resounding yes!

This is the love story of a couple from different worlds…she is a little older and business driven, but loves the idea of relaxing on the beach…Nate is an outdoorsman and loves the mountains. He dreamt of a wedding on a hillside, smoking meat over a fire, but loved Malisa enough to compromise on the beach.

CWEP Project 1

Hello my name is Melissa Benjelloun I am from Fairfield, CA. I have always loved decorating and making people happy with their atmosphere. I chose to be a wedding planner due to the fact that this one occasion is the most important and meaningful event in the couples lives.

For my project 1 I have chosen to do a couple on a golf course for their wedding venue. The bride wanted a princess fairytale wedding and the colors are burgundy, pink and cream. I chose to do a natural chandelier that hangs from the tree the couple will be getting married under with flowers everywhere.

The reception is also on the golf course with a horse and princess carriage, along with a magical mirror for photos and lots of outdoor lighting. I enjoyed doing this project, it allowed me to use my imagination and get very creative. I hope you all enjoy.

Eddie and Hunters November Bliss!

Posted By Megan Orcutt, Friday, June 1, 2018

Hello! I'm Megan Orcutt, co-founder of Something Bridal here in Colorado. Before Wedding Planning I have worked at Starbucks for the last 11 years. While there I've done everything from barista to Store Manager. It's been a truly wonderful experience and I've learned so much from the company, but I'm very excited to be leaving there in July and moving full time into planning beautiful weddings for a living! My goals for my company is that we will begin planning weddings that are completely signature to the couple so that they will feel that their relationship was truly expressed and celebrated during their day. In 5 years time I hope to have purchased land to begin opening a wedding venue that will be as full service as is possible to make weddings affordable and easy for our couples.

This course has been fantastic for me! I had just planned and had my wedding last year when I signed up for this course so I had a general idea of what was to come, but planning your own wedding is easy when you are literally in the brides mind. This course has helped me see how to figure out what the brides vision is and transform that into her dream day. There are so many hidden pieces to planning a wedding that you would never know without the proper training and I am so glad to be getting certified to create that piece of mind for my future clients. Colorado doesn't require certification to become a planner but I don't see why anyone would feel comfortable hiring someone without proof of knowledge and experience.

My project is for my clients fall/winter (it's Colorado so November can be either) wedding in November 2019. Every piece of this wedding includes something to represent them as a couple from their favorite colors which are burgundy and navy to the hot cocoa bar and the officiant who is putting together a completely personalized ceremony for them. The out of town guests will even be receiving personalized gift bags including a newsletter with fun tidbits about both the couple and the town of Estes Park and several of the couples favorite treats, snacks, and sodas.

CWEP Project 1

Updated: Monday, January 8, 2018
Hi, I am Shital "Sheela" Shah. I am a CPA and am bored of doing Accounting. I have always loved event planning and now I want to try planning weddings. I am still not sure how to get this going. I attended a wedding in India in November. It was so much fun. I have pinned some decoration ideas for Indian Weddings, using mostly fresh flowers, added some beautiful traditional center pieces. There is a colorful sofa for bride and groom to sit, all traditionally decorated with ethnic decors using bright colors.

Wedding Event In Winter

Posted By Odett Smith, Tuesday, July 18, 2017
Updated: Tuesday, August 1, 2017

Hi everyone, My name is Odett Smith and I am an aspiring event planner. I've always been interested in planning and designing events, but never took it serious. One day that turned around after planning my oldest sisters' first baby shower. I was complimented on the results of that and encouraged to take it more seriously. I also enjoy planning & designing events with a passion and wish to become a professional that I can take my skills and abilities abroad. This is my main reason for being apart of the longevity wedding and event planning team.

In my efforts to take this blooming talent to another level, my first project is based on an u[coming wedding in spring of 2018 for my best friend Nicole &  her fiance Ian. They met online and currently reside in New York but are both coincidentally from the same city of California with multiple mutual friends. In addition as I got to know them as a couple, they enjoy exploring some fun in the sun activities, like exploring nature outdoors. Nicole is a true Cali girl that loves the beach, so I incorporated the theme of the wedding on the beach.     Below displays my A8 formula:

Required Assignment Mood Board

Updated: Thursday, July 6, 2017

My name is Marianne and I am currently the Director of Events for the University of Miami Frost School of Music.  I strongly believe in professional development and thought that obtaining my Certification in Wedding and Event Planning would add to my current experience.  The inspiration for the board I created is based on my co-worker who recently got engaged.  She met her boyfriend on an online dating application named Hinge, that was linked to your friends on Facebook.  They are in their mid-twenties and this would be the first marriage for both of them.  He is from the mid-west and a true gentleman, hence the rustic chic theme.  They want a classy but simple wedding that incorporates both their taste and background.  I have a sincere appreciation for Wedding Planners, especially since I know how much research and time goes into creating each event.  Looking forward to completing Project #1 and learning the tricks of the trade.

Project One

Posted By Kelly Keener, Saturday, January 9, 2016
This is what I included for the essay portion, and I feel it sufficiently explains this project for me: My website was inspired by my Russian Orthodox Background. Although the characters on my website are fictional, the places are real, and the church mentioned is dear to my heart. I have provided the best vendors I could think of that are in the area of St. Louis (I lived in Missouri for ten years), as well as the best package rates I would provide starting out. It was a triumphant feeling finishing this first project, and I have gained a lot of knowledge through completing this project. I am thankful for this opportunity. I am still very new to this.

Here is a link to my website: http://kellyakeener.wix.com/project1

Cheers!

Project 1

Posted By Emily Patty, Thursday, October 22, 2015

I really enjoyed this project, not only because it provided me with great experience on planning weddings, but it also allowed me to get creative and see how to make my website for my future business. I based this website off of one of my friend's who is currently in the wedding planning process and I know that she will find it beneficial as I hope other couples will too. I was completely overwhelmed while reading the requirements for this project but it ended up being a lot easier than I thought it would be! I credit that to the A6 formula and Pinterest :) Enjoy!

MK Wedding Designs Project 1

Posted By Monique Keefe, Tuesday, October 13, 2015

Completing this project has been both frustrating and helpful.  Since I am not tech savvy, I found creating a website a little challenging and properly submitting the project difficult.  However, I look forward to using some of my new found skills and ideas with real couples.  #CWEP  #Project1
