CWEP Project 3 - Launching Your Business

Posted By Adriana Jimenez, Sunday, May 5, 2019
Updated: Sunday, May 5, 2019
My name is Adriana Jimenez and this is my Project 3. This project is for the launch of our new business, A & A Weddings and Events. It's almost time for our Grand Opening!  There is so much to do, but I am so excited to start working on my business along with my daughter, Alexa.   Planning our Grand Opening is going to be a great way for us to work on the same project using our own style, ideas and personal touches for the Grand Opening event.
Our event will be raising money for Mission Arlington.  We will be holding a raffle for a Gift Card Tree.  The gift cards will be donated by local merchants and restaurants.
Our main goal in this business is to be financially and reputably successful.  The best way to accomplish our goal is to be able to provide the best service and the most special event each client can have.  We will work with any budget.   Everyone deserves a beautiful wedding or special event, and we will do our best to make that happen.
This is the last project of our CWEP course.  I'm sad but also relieved that it is over. It has been a very interesting and helpful class. There is so much to learn in such a short time. I have really enjoyed this class and everything it has taught me so I can be a successful CWEP.
I can’t wait to get started planning our next event after the launch of our new business.
for more information about our company and the services we provide.

CWEP PROJECT 3

Posted By Aurora Vergel, Wednesday, November 21, 2018

Hello everyone! I am glad to announce the Grand Opening of my new business. The concept that I visualize have now

become a dream come true. Aurora’s Events and Wedding Designs will be held on May 28, 2018 at the Cozy Pavilion

Venue in Lovers Lane Del Mar. The Event will be from 6 to 10 p.m.

Being a wedding planner sounds good but to be a certified wedding planner is even better. The method of teachings I

Received from LWPI accredited by Collin College has given me confidence to start up my own business.

The mood board I have chosen to present are just a glimpse of what it would be like at the grand opening.

I am hoping to see you all at the event. It is going to be a fabulous fun evening!

Grand Opening Celebration for Divine Details by Misty – An Enterprising Wedding and Event Planning Company in the Dallas Area

Misty Currin, CWEP (founder and creative director of Divine Details by Misty) cordially invites you to join her at DDM’s Grand Opening Celebration! Come meet DDM’s wedding professionals, eat some delicious appetizers, take a photo booth picture, learn a few dance steps and maybe win a trip to Mexico! There will also be a silent auction to benefit SoupMobile-a faith based 501 © (3) non-profit charity that ‘Feeds & Shelters’ the homeless in Dallas, Texas.

Hi Fellow Planner Friends! By the time that I started on Project 3, I had learned to make sure that all required assignments were completed before beginning the project as it would make completing the project a much smoother process. Since we had created a similar project for Project 1, I found Project 3 easier. Project 3 was my favorite project by far because it solidified my existence as a “real” wedding and event planner.

I highly recommend this certification course to those considering a career in wedding planning. If you can dedicate the time necessary for this course, by completing the required assignments, you can literally start your wedding/event planning business at the completion of the course. Instructor Shamica Sweat provided strength in knowing the industry and kept us encouraged throughout the entire course as there is a large amount of information to grasp in a relatively short amount of time. The industry guest speakers were phenomenal and added so much value to the course. I learned everything from vendor relationship, wedding cultures and traditions to contracts and running your own event planning business.

We had an awesome class and I am really going to miss our in-class discussion; but, I am more excited than ever to officially start my own wedding/event planning company and start being compensated for my creativity, skill, and time as I’ve been planning events for family, friends, and church organizations for years, free-of-charge. Over the next two years, I am planning to build my event planning business while seeking to acquire an event venue of my own to host events.

New wedding and event planning business to open in Denver!

Denver’s newest wedding and event planning business is opening on November 10.2018! Jessica Reagan, Owner, is hosting a free grand opening event to the public from 10am-12pm that day, and will boast a variety of incentives to attend. Local vendors, brunch, free consultation appointments, a raffle and more! Donations will be accepted to enter the raffle, and all proceeds go to a local charity.

_____________________________________________________________________________________________

This project was so fun! What a great opportunity to plan out the grand opening of my own business! This course as a whole as challenged me, stretched me, opened my mind to new ways of working, and helped prepare me to be the best wedding and event planner possible! I'm so excited to use these new skills in the real world!

This mood board is for Project 3, and is the grand opening of my own business! My office space is rustic and industrial in downtown Denver, so I went with earthy tones, modern flare and industrial elegance.

Thanks for taking the time to check it out!

Hi! I'm Madison from Hello Darling Social Events. I can't believe I'm almost finished with this course! The grand opening was something fun to plan and dream about. Even though I'm already planning events, I enjoyed theoretically planning the opening of my own venue.

I have enjoyed this course thoroughly and look forward to applying more principles from the classes! This knowledge will continue to grow and become more and more applicable in this industry.

HDSE is setting the precedent for affordable event planning. I am very passionate about this service being affordable to everyone! Our mission is: Hello Darling Social Events exists to make party planning fun! We believe that every day is special and there is something to celebrate in everyone’s lives.

At the opening: the room will be fun and up beat, with appetizers and desserts being passed with cotton candy champagne. There will be giveaway prizes and a silent auction available for donations and proceeds to go to Shoes for Orphan Souls. CWEP Project 3

Posted By Chantalle Schultz-Rathbun, Monday, February 19, 2018

With working full time, moving, and taking this course it has been a roller coaster. But, I am so thankful I joined Lovegevity University. I may have had a slow start figuring out the course but here I am finishing it up!

This past project was probably the most fun for me because I finally got to put everything together. My dream of becoming a wedding planner is no longer a dream but reality.

For my Grand Opening I have partnered with The Abbot (Venue) and White House Catering.

The event is opening to newly engaged couples wanting to meet with potential vendors from the Kansas City Area. Their will be a ticket price that will be used for a grand prize and a donation to Blue Star Families.

The Grand Opening will take place April 7th from 12-5pm. Every ticket bought in advance comes with a free drink voucher. Every couple to walk in the door will be handed a profile card to be entered into all the door prizes and grand prize. Guests will be given a folder to help keep information together, a schedule of events, and my own personal brochure. Each guest will get a chance to walk around meeting all the vendors, enjoy some light appetizers provided by White House Catering, and have a nice cocktail. During the Afternoon their will be 3 workshops (all optional of course)

* Getting started and picking a venue

* Plan Your Day, Your Way

* Planning your budget

Project 3-Married to Brunch

Posted By Caroline I. Drumm, Sunday, August 27, 2017

Hi I’m Carly! I’ve really enjoyed taking this course. It’s made me really excited to start my career in event and wedding planning. This course has been a lot of work, but has really gotten me thinking about the elements and aspects of business.  For my grand opening I want to have an event in early February to maximize the beginning of wedding season and can plan a brunch event. Since this event is before Valentine’s day I want it to have a warm atmosphere, but want decorations to be girly and romantic

CWEP Project 3

Posted By Crystal Devin Fisher, Wednesday, August 2, 2017

Let's Say I DO, Houston's newest luxury event planning firm, will celebrate its grand opening on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at 6pm to 8pm. Prospective brides, their friends and family and other event professionals are invited to attend the celebration at 5226 Elm. Delightful bites and tasty cocktails will be served.

This course has been very insightful. While I have no plans on actually opening my own planning company because I love working with venues, I have gained a fresh perspective on what wedding planners deal with that I don't as a venue manager. I have also learned some valuable information that will improve my proficiency as a venue manager. Brides in Houston will be lucky to work with me after all the training I've received from the course.

My grand opening is fictional, but if I wanted to open my own business, this is definitely along the lines of what I would do. I walked through the A6 planning stages as well as included marking materials like a press release and mock website.

PROJECT #3

Posted By Denise A. Vasquez, Monday, May 1, 2017

Chino, CA, May 1, 2017– Denise Alexandria Events announces the opening of their new wedding and event planning business in the Inland Empire. Opening on June 1, the office will cater to the needs of brides, grooms, businesses and anyone looking to host an event, providing a one stop planning resources.

Join Us for our Grand Opening on June 1st, 2017 in Chino Hills.

This project was the most challenging and my favorite of the class. I really got to dig deep and see what it is that  I would want at the Grand Opening of my business. This project helped me see all the aspects not just the planning, but the philanthropic part of the business as well as the press and marketing areas. I really did learn a lot not only from this project but the class in general. Im so happy that I took this class and got to explore the business of event and wedding planning. I did not only learn a lot of this class but I met some great ladies and had a fabulous instructor that was so helpful. I cant wait to get started and really open my business now that I have the stepping stones and knowledge to do so.

I chose to do a backyard cocktail party for my grand opening as I want my image to be elegance in your own backyard.  I chose to hold my grand opening in Chino Hills that over looks our market area the Inland Empire. Because of the backyard theme I chose to do simple comfort foods you would normally have at an backyard party with a little pinch of elegance. I went with Gold, White and Blush as the colors because they will be the colors of my business.

Project #3

Posted By Larissa Converse, Monday, May 1, 2017
Join us on June 24, 2017 from 4-6pm at Chino Hills Community Center 14250 Peyton Drive, Chino Hills, CA 91709 to learn some tips and tricks on wedding planning and vendors from some of our preferred vendors as well as seeing how our services could help your dream day come to life. Spend an evening enjoying a good ol' fashioned BBQ in the park and get the chance to meet new people that are newly engaged as well. You will receive business cards as well as a chance to enter and win discounted services. There will also be team building activities and the last couple standing will

win planning for their wedding absolutely free.

This project was amazing. It was challenging and time consuming but it really did prepare you to legitimately launch your business. Now I am going to hold off for a few months at least as I have more in the works, but after completing this project, I have everything figured out to make it go smoothly when the time comes. The past 10 weeks has literally flown by while taking this class. There was so much information and new things I learned--some that will be pertinent now and others that will help me tremendously in the future.

I chose to create a BBQ in the Park for my grand opening as my brand image is country style with DIY decorations. I chose to hold it at the Chino Hills Community Center as it has large grassy areas perfect for a BBQ and for the activities we have planned for the evening. Food for the event includes pulled pork sandwiches, hot dogs, corn on the cob, baked beans, chips, and s'mores for dessert. I went with red and white for the colors specifically with a checker pattern for that old fashioned picnic style.

My Expirience as a student for Lovegevity

Posted By Laura Palafox, Monday, April 10, 2017
My name is Laura Palafox and I am weeks away from completing the Lovegevity wedding planning certification. I have been waiting for the opportunity to take this course for a long time. I've been interested in the industry for years and I was very intrigued to learn more and become a professional event planner. The Lovegevity program is great, it's definitely more than I was expecting, very well-rounded and with all the information needed to handle an event planning business. Christy Lyons, our instructor, has put forth much effort in teaching us the course and I greatly appreciate her willingness to teach and be there to answer any questions any time. I have enjoyed and learned a lot through the weeks of this course and although I do feel a little nervous and scared to take off as a professional event planner, I know I have the knowledge to do so, and with that I will be in the works to becoming  a successful business owner.

My Grand Opening

The link above is my submission of my final project. This project scared the crap out of me when I first read the directions. I am not good with creating anything online, much less this grand opening! But once I reviewed a few examples and understood how the program worked, it was so much fun. While it was extremely tedious and full of possibilities, I think it turned out great! I am very happy with this project! I basically took the A6 formula and found some great boards and pics to display each individual piece of the formula.

My experience

Posted By Mirna Ghazarian, Monday, July 11, 2016

Hey! I have really enjoyed doing this certification course. No doubt, the work is challenging. The projects definitely require an investment of your time and really force you to think about your future business. It's definitely challenging, but enjoyable at the same time. Journeying through this course has taught me a lot about the wedding planning world, but not just that, but how to successfully launch my business.

Coming from a medical science background, I started this course to familiarize myself with the world of wedding planning, the terms, the phrases, etc. But now completing this course (almost!), I have realized that I've learned so much more; I've received so much more.. and it's so awesome! :)

I have attached my Project 3 here. See the special events tab for details on the launch!

Next Jen Events Grand Opening! Project 3

Posted By Jennifer Keller, Wednesday, May 25, 2016

How sweet it is!! Final project, DONE! This was a fun one to come up with. While all the projects were fun and made me use my brain more than I have in years, this one was the most exciting to me as it gave me a chance to see what I could really do as far as getting my company out there and how to go about doing that. I went a little outside the box with my theme, but figured it was a different way to go about getting people excited about my company. Lovegevity really does show you how to put all the pieces together to make them fit cohesively for any event that you put together. My time as an LWPI student has been well spent, and although it was much harder than I originally anticipated, I couldn't be more grateful for the knowledge I've gained and look forward to my next courses in the master class. I now present to you, my project 3 grand opening of Next Jen Events' "An Evening to Die For". Enjoy!
