Project 3 isn't only about getting potential clients/vendors excited about working with me but also to get excited about planning their wedding versus seeing it as something stressful.  Those attending will experience a night of excellent food, entertainment and other services that won’t break their budget.

I created a mood board and Wix website for Project 3! I loved doing this website! I have learned so much and grown in many ways from this project. I feel I can now create a mood board using the visions from future clients. This wedding planner course has taught me everything I need to know to start my own business. I am excited to share my Grand Opening with you! I will be having it at a vineyard in Fredericksburg, Tx. All brides and bridesmaids are invited to attend. The vineyard allows for an natural setting and vendors invited will be doing giveaways! I am excited for this new adventure!

Newport News, VA- March 14, 2020- Good Time Wedding and Events, also known as GT Wedding and Events is proud to announce the launch and Grand Opening of their new business. We have brought together a great foundation of entrepreneurs that have a desire to bring togetherness in Hampton Roads. GT Wedding and Events has brought 20 years of combined experience. From hospitality, finance, business management and of course event planning. The event will be held at our location. There will be appetizers in the courtyard and then inside for the silent auction. We will have music and dancing. A great event not to be missed.

My great experience in this course is something I will cherish always and I have learned so many factors in the wedding and events industry. I must admit I am not very savvy with creating websites, canva, and doing blogs, but I can definitely say I am no longer scared to do these things. The grand opening project was fun to do because I can see myself in it at all times. Designing the theme, being present and talking to clients, eating wonderful food, picking out thank you gifts. Helping the community is a big to-do on my list as a business owner and while I help my business grow I can fundraise for children's programs.

Project 3 was based on summarizing everything I have learned about the wedding and event planning and applying it to creating my own Grand Opening. The grand opening will host local vendors and businesses to mingle with potential clients and create a buzz about my business. I described everything from announcement, atmosphere, appetite, amusement, to appreciation. Everything I used was resources of my location: neutral beach colors, auction items, invitations, all added up to my grand opening theme. Along with having my Grand Opening, there is a silent auction and the proceeds will go to the Boys and Girls club of Peninsula Virginia.

Yours Truly events would like to announce their grand opening. The company is dedicated to helping out engaged couples make their wedding vision come to life. Join us June 20th, 2020 for an evening of fun, games, food and drinks. All engaged couples, their families and friends are encouraged to partake in joyous occasion. There will be guest vendors such as photographers, caterers, baker & a lot more. So come with questions! The event will be held at The District Venue in Ankeny, Iowa. Tickets are $15 per person and 20% of the proceeds goes to the Iowa Coalition Against Domestic Violence. Guests are also required to bring at least 1 can goods to donate to the DMARC Food Pantry Network.

This project and the corresponding assignments made me really dig deep. The business plan opened my eyes to the extensive details of starting a business. I enjoyed working on this project because it made me realize that I’m so close to starting my dream business. Since it’s my 3rd project using Wix, it’s much easier to navigate and finish my project quicker. This course is has given me the foundation and extra push and confidence to pursue my dream.

This grand opening is for my future business. This event will showcase various wedding themes as well as provide guest vendors. Each table will have its own theme. There will be appetizers, drinks & desserts for our guests to enjoy. Our DJ will set the tone at the beginning of the evening by playing instrumental music to make easier to chat. Guests can also enjoy the photo booth as they browse and chat with the guest vendors. Raffle and door prizes will take place throughout the event. Before the party ends there will be a grand prize drawing for free wedding day coordinating services by Yours Truly Events.

CWEP Project 3

Posted By Manny Mandapat, Saturday, March 7, 2020

Manny's Event Designs will celebrate its Grand Opening! Vendors, clients, and associates are invited to the event. Our company brings to the San Francisco/Bay Area the know-how's and services available to help clients plan for their special event. Whether it is a wedding, corporate, or fundraising event, we provide services from the "day of services" to full planning at an affordable price.

I decided to become an event planner two months ago. It was right after I helped plan and design my department's holiday event party. The compliments and thank you I received motivated me to take action. After doing research on schools and programs, I decided to enroll in Lovegevity's Wedding Planning Institute. This course taught me a lot about the wedding industry, such as how to book clients, vendor and bridal interviews, pricing strategies, starting and marketing your business--just to name a few. Just recently, I did an internship with Kevin Lee. This experience taught me the importance of teamwork, communication, problem solving, organization, responsibility, time management, and adaptability. Now that I am nearing the end of this course, I am not only grateful for what I have learned, but I am ready to use the tools needed to become a certified wedding planner. Working on this project allowed me to experience what a Grand Opening event would be like, while learning the process of creating a brand/design that represented my vision and mission.

For this project, the Grand Opening theme is the "Roaring 20's" and "Jazz Age". The theme represents bridging the past with the present. One of the business objective is to include old-fashioned principles of the past, while incorporating the current designs, ideologies, and technology of today. The company's brand is bold and centered around the revolution of freedom--freedom to be innovative, freedom to think outside the box, freedom to marry who one loves. During the 1920's, people started breaking out of the "prim and proper" ideals into a free-spirited attitude. Today, in 2020, we seem to have that same nonconformist and freethinking mentality. Life just seems to be moving at a fast pace, people are always on the go. This new sense of freedom and opulence is perhaps what clients are looking for in planning and designing their own special event. Manny's Event Designs can definitely do our part in this process.

Updated: Saturday, February 29, 2020

GRAND OPENING!!!!

With over 25+ years in the service industry Malissa Terrell-Varner acquired and mastered skills in catering, restaurant management and recently with sales & marketing.  So, after a recent job layoff, she decided to FINALLY pursue her dreams and start “Simply CaliRoo”. The name was inspired by her two beautiful and talented daughters who are her drive to be successful. She wanted the name to be something that was near & dear to her heart but also simple and unique like they are. So, in February 2020 Malissa, announced the formal launch of her events company “Simply CaliRoo, LLC” that will specialize in Discovering, Developing, & Delivering the events of your dreams. Whether you’re dreaming of a lavish black-tie affair, a low-key backyard BBQ, or an intimate destination wedding, the have the imagination and expertise to bring your vision to life. They plan amazing events for people who love hosting, but don’t have the time or expertise to map out all the details. With her combination of creativity and attention to detail along her Certification in Wedding & Event Planning makes their services an asset to any event in the Greater Richmond Area.

Terrell-Varner said, “with my passion for detail, love for helping others and determination of making memories last. I decided what better way to do all of that, than event planning. This passion led her to Lovegevity University where she became certified as a Wedding and Event Planner in February 2020 and soon after Launched Simply CaliRoo, LLC.

Photos from some of her most successful events will be on display at her Grand Opening Launch Party along with light hords d’ouevres from her preferred caterer “Mosaic Catering + Events”. That evening she will feature the “Wounded Warrior Project Charity” and ask guests in attendance to consider donating to this amazing cause. At the end of the evening, she will match all donation and 100% of the profits will go directly to the Wounded Warrior Project. She will also have drawing throughout the evening for gift cards from various restaurants and stores along with a GRAND PRIZE drawing for a getaway package for 2.

I have truly enjoyed every bit of this class and took away TONS of valuable information. I want to personally thank Cho and her team for all the time and detail they put into this class. I started this class hoping to decide if this is really for me but end this class with more knowledge than I ever imagined and the skills to move forward with Simply CaliRoo, LLC. I have recently filed all paperwork etc. for my LLC and hope to fully launch within the next month!!!

Join us on February 14th, 2020 at the Tendue in Portland, Oregon as Maddy´s Forever & Always Weddings presents their “Love Is in the Air” grand opening event. What better way to celebrate the opening of a business of love than on the day of love?

Grab your special someone, friends, and family for an exciting evening filled with games, photos, flowers, information, and more! Come learn how to make your own bouquet from Alice´s Table, enjoy dessert and refreshments provided by Dream Cakes, and learn everything you need to know to plan your perfect day with us.

Maddy´s Forever & Always Weddings is a full-service wedding and event planning business that was founded by certified wedding planner Maddy Rebaum in 2019 through a passion for love and individuality. Individuality is what makes humans beautiful. Maddy´s Forever & Always Weddings believes in taking the uniqueness and dream of each couple and turning it into a personalized reality.

This project was a lot of fun. Although I am not planning on starting my own business right after completing the course, it was great practice for planning an event.

As the wedding planning business is part of the business of love, I thought it would be a great idea to open the business on Valentine´s Day. My business logo is a heart made out of hearts, so an event that followed that theme seemed very fitting. Heart shaped balloons will decorate the venue, pink food served, and a heart-shaped lantern release will close the evening. All proceeds of the event will be donated to Wishing Upon a Wedding.

Create Moments Just B-Cuz is officially launching. They are having their Grand Opening for their York PA office. The office is one of the two that will launch within the next 6 months. The company will be in York, PA and Baltimore, MD. The Grand Opening will be held on February 29, 2020 at The Bond Events. The address is 134 E. King Street York, Pennsylvania 17401. The event will be held from 3:00pm-7:00pm.

My experience with this course has been a great one; it taught me a lot about the ins and outs of planning. This project allowed me to really think about how I would launch my business and what I would want it to look like. The project really allowed me to use my creativity.

The colors for my business are yellow, black and white. Everything designed for the grand opening will be in those colors. The setup will allow people to see what we offer as planners and coordinators.

CWEP Project 3 Mood Board

Posted By Yessenia Jarvey, Monday, January 20, 2020

Hello Beautiful Planners!

My name is Yessenia from Great Falls, MT and I am hosting the Grand Opening of " All You Need is Love" Wedding and Events. For my grand opening I went with a semi-formal chic theme. The color scheme is black and silver with gold accents. I thought this would be a classy yet elegant way to show case my event. I can honestly say this has been such a fun yet knowledgeable experience. I went into this course completely un aware of what a wedding planner was. All I knew is I loved planning, helping others, designing and of course weddings. Now that I am at the end of this course I feel more confident and thrilled about this field.

When creating my grand opening I wanted a theme that all people can relate and feel welcomed to. Sticking with the classic black and silver theme allowed the guests to have a variety of ideas for attire. Along with the classic black attire I choose a apatite that was classic. A simple yet delicious plate of spaghetti with wine. I wanted the event to feel classy yet elegant. When it came to amusement I thought, what better way to have a classical spaghetti dinner then with a small band. Sense this was an event for the community to enjoy I thought having part of the community orchestra apart of the event would be a great touch.

Lastly, as for philanthropy I wanted the event to contribute to our local Animal Shelter. Animals are near and dear to my heart therefore I wanted to add something meaningful to me towards the event. I had so much fun with this assignment and I cant wait to fulfill my career of Wedding Planning. Thank you to Lovegevity for providing this course to help me achieve my dreams!

Grand Opening- Unforgettable Events

Posted By Chandler Payne, Friday, December 20, 2019

Please allow me to introduce myself, my name is Chandler Payne and I was born and raised in beautiful San Diego, California. I am a Certified Wedding and Event Coordinator which simply means I’ve taken classes to improve my skills in the industry. I started event planning because I always found myself trying to organize and manage parties that I was attending rather than just being a guest. I wanted to be in control of the happenings because I felt like I could organize them better and make sure that everyone had a great time.

The mission for my company is to create unforgettable events with ease. I provide my clients with the best possible service by surrounding myself with reputable vendors and teams that I trust. No detail will be left unturned and my clients will enjoy their events with a smile on their face and never know any "disasters" happen because my team will take care of them quickly and quietly.

My background in musical theatre management and being an event planner for a middle school gives me an edge even though I am new to the wedding planning scene. These backgrounds have provided me extra skills in staying in budget for large scale events while still having a “wow” factor.

I look forward to planning your Unforgettable Event!

Project 3

Posted By Vanessa Cowles, Sunday, December 8, 2019

Vanessa Cowles will be launching an event design house in Richmond, Va on June 28, 2020. She recently completed an event planning certification from LWPI at VCU. This will event will cater to both vendors and guests in search of event design help. During the event La Bella team and Vanessa will work the room to provide guests with questionnaires and to engage vendors interested in building relationships and curating preferred vendor lists.

The grand opening will allow all guests to intimately know what drives the business, our connection to the community and commitment to creativity and event perfection. We don't just plan and coordinate events, we design based on our clients unique interests. Guests will also see a live portfolio, where there will be small demonstrations of the design process and mock ups of event decor. Light brunch will be served, and there will be a mimosa bar with other light refreshment options for our guests. Girls For a Change spokesperson will be present to share their cause and how the community can be further involved with the organization.

Project 3 was my favorite of them all. I am a major believer in manifesting our goals and this was an exercise on doing just that. I've learned so much during this term. The wealth of information shared by my instructor has been invaluable and my growth in inudustry knowledge is quite measurable. This course has been much more comprehensive than expected. The description just doesn't do it justice. Cant wait to showcase all that I've learned to my future mentors, peers, and clients.

Updated: Friday, November 29, 2019

Last project, a step closer to dive into the world of planning and designing weddings and events for future brides, it has been a very exciting class.  I was fortunate to share my experiences with fun classmates and an awesome instructor.  It has been a total different career path for me as my expertise is in finance and have been working in that field for the past twenty years. Along with the organizational skills required to perform my day to day job, I found out that dashboards, excel charts also demanded some type of creativity to deliver something appealing to the audience and captivating enough to keep their attention.

I am looking forward to start my new venture.  My husband and I want to buy a venue, preferably a ranch or barn in Central Florida where we can host diverse functions.  The local that I picked for my grand opening is actually one of the prospects we are looking at, it is huge property, about five acres where we would be able to host events inside and outside.  We are partial to rustic and vintage decor but can accommodate various styles as we aim to please our clientele and bring their vision to life.  We add an elegant, vibrant but yet cozy charm to events while attending to every detail to make your day a memorable one.

Hello, My name is Ashley Chastine and this is my project 3. AKC Wedding & Event Planning gives engaged couple and anyone trying to plan an event a complementary consultation to help plan for their big day. Hoschton, Georgia - November 18, 2019 - Ashley Chastine is a certified wedding and event planner that is here in the Hoschton to celebrate the grand opening of new company AKC Wedding & Event Planning  with complementary consultations for engaged couples and anyone wanting to plan a party. I really enjoyed this project. The only thing I was not a big fan of was having to post things on Facebook. I do not feel comfortable doing that when it is just for school. If it was for a real business I would but I not doing that even if it is mandatory. Overall, I had fun with this though. My grand opening event is a classy but casual event. I hope you enjoy. Thank you for this experience.

Project 3: Grand Opening

Posted By Lia Diogo, Wednesday, November 13, 2019

Hi students,

I am Lia Diogo, I live in Westchester County in New York and I really enjoyed organizing the Grand Opening of my own wedding and event planning company. In my press release I announced this as follows:

"Friday November 15th, 2019 is the date for the Grand Opening of Rye’s newest business venture:  “Events by Lia”.
Owner and Certified wedding and Event Planner Lia Diogo moved to Rye in 2016 from her native The Netherlands, with her Portuguese husband and 2 daughters, when her husband’s job required them to move to New York."

So far I have really enjoyed the course. Although a lot of work I loved doing all three projects.I learned so much.
When I started the course I didn't really intend to start my own business, but I have begun to realize that this is something that I can actually do!!

My Grand Opening is an elegant cocktail party for my friends, family, (potential) clients and vendors with a "pink" theme, as you can see in my mood board.
I really hope that I can plan my real "Grand Opening" soon!!

Hello,

My name is Wanda Bryce and thankfully I am just a few weeks away from completing this course. I am so excited to see how I can use the skills I have learned from all theses assignments. This Project three in particular really challenged me to consider the actual day my business will officially launch and I appreciate that. By doing this assignment I had to really put my thinking cap on and think as two in one by playing two roles. I thought as a planner and thought as my ideal client looking to myself to create the perfect event. I had to do some research to solidify my plan and I ended up gaining new knowledge which I find very important in this industry. Overall, like most of the assignments, this project was incredibly time consuming but the feeling of ticking it off my 'TO DO' list as completed was worth it. I have one assignment left and can't wait to complete it as well. God luck to you all, happy wedding and event planning.

This project help me to get an idea over the prices and the other benefit I can offer to my clients. I get to learn about how to protect my business with a contract. Offer additional services that can help me to get more revenue. I love how everything came out.
