CWEP Project 2

Posted By Pinar Akalin, Wednesday, January 9, 2019
Hey I am Pinar, from Wedding and Event Planning certificate program. Before i start that project i have no idea about my services, packages or company name. But with enough knowledge and passion you can always make things happen and make them real. Now i exactly know what will be my services and packages and also my company name. Thanks for making this real for me. Also i want to talk about my company a little bit. My company's name will be Fairy Tale Weddings by pinar. And my goal is to make your dreams come true as a fairytale. Everything will be start with a ‘’Once upon a time.. And ends with a ‘’happily ever after’’.I plan for every possible outcome and strive for perfection. For that reason i have some different kind of packages but every package have some common 3 things. Which are; Costumized planning notebook, Provision of a complete emergency kit, Complimentary initial meeting.

Project 2

Posted By Jennifer Nunez, Saturday, January 5, 2019
Hello everyone, my name is Jennifer Nunez. So here I completed project 2, which was kind of challenging and fun because there's lots of things you need to think about when opening a new business. In doing this project I discovered a lot of things about myself for example on the type of services I want to offer and the type of people I want to work with. So I hope you enjoy what I have to offer and I'm ready for the next step.

Project 2

Posted By Angela Cloutier, Thursday, December 27, 2018
Hello!  My name is Angela.  I just finished Project 2, and I am very happy with the end result.  I enjoyed the business aspect of this project as it made this journey a little bit more realistic.  I create my project by introducing myself, offering a variety of my services, and I created questionnaires for brides and grooms.  I also created a vendor list that potential clients can call for references as well.  Lastly, I included marriage license information, wedding education information, civil service ceremony information, as well as a variety of checklists.  My essay included short and long-term goals for my business.  Overall, I really enjoyed this project, and I am hoping by prospective clients will like it as well when I transfer a lot of this information on my website.

Updated: Tuesday, November 20, 2018

Hello, my name is Cindy Valerio with Cindy Ella Events. Doing project 2 is a little bit more harder for me than project 1. Because we're moving to a new place and had to research in the new area and tweak my contract. But I am really having fun studying at Lovegevity because it challenges me to be more creative in all the projects that I'm doing. I like that I'm learning a lot doing event planning process, website and be ready for the future event planning business.

The mood board is based on my future client's elegant luxurious wedding.

Project 1

Posted By Angela Cloutier, Sunday, November 18, 2018
Updated: Sunday, November 18, 2018

Hello!  My name is Angela, and I am DONE with Project 1.  I am from Cape Cod Massachusetts, and I love this program.  I have been a special education teacher for eight years, but I wanted to do something more creative with my life.  I am a very organized person, so I know that this will be a perfect second career for me.

My goals/plans as a professional in event planning is to work as an event planner at one of the many beautiful resorts on Cape Cod.  Cape Cod weddings are extremely popular, so I know that I will be very busy when I have completed this course.

My experience in this course has been wonderful so far.  I have been extremely supported by the program, and I am learning so many things in the event industry.  It is definitely more work than I originally thought, but I am up for the challenge.  The course is well-paced, informative, and interesting.  This project was very time-consuming, and it was very challenging.  I am very happy with how my project turned out, and I learned so much about what is needed for a successful wedding.

The project I am presenting is a beautiful bohemian-themed wedding that is rustic, elegant, ad simple.  The wedding is more about the little details like the flowers, favors, and music which allows the wedding to be rustic-chic while embracing nature.

Thank you for reading my blog!!!

Updated: Thursday, October 25, 2018

Hi my name is Tineka Keeton

I am from South Africa, i have a bachelor of commerce degree in hospitality management. Before coming to America i spent a few months in Dubai working in the banqueting and events department in an Accor hotel and my last job was the assistant manager in a beauty spa. My plans as a prefessional event planner is to find an internship or job in event planning to gain more experience, so that i can eventually  open my own business.

My experience with the course so far is good, i am learning something new everyday. This project helped me to really think about what services i would like to offer when i start my own business one day.

My business is called LOVE@Events and it is a wedding planning business. My business only focuses on wedding and events that suround weddings, we do not organise other events.

CWEP Project 2

Posted By Claudia Boateng, Tuesday, October 16, 2018

Hello, my name is Claudia Boateng and I am a native of Chicago taking the fall session of the CWEP program at Triton College. I am interested dabbling in the invitation sector of wedding events and so far this class has taught me so much about putting the right packages together and questions you need to ask when trying to form alliances with a vendor.  I am so grateful for the opportunity to take this class, because it has been an eye opening experience, and I have learned so much. For project 2 my main objective was to offer full planning, partial and day of services to multicultural brides. I think it is a unique market as there are so many brides from all walks of life who need help merging their traditional cultures with their American culture. I created a welcome kit for prospective brides to view during their complimentary consultations; here I would present them with a portfolio of what my company can produce for them and answer all questions the prospective couple asks of the many services my company can provide for them.

CWEP #2

Posted By Ashley Winkler, Friday, September 21, 2018

Hello! My name is Ashley Winkler and I currently live in the United Kingdom with my husband and 1 year old son. I am originally from Ontario, Canada but have traveled a lot both for teaching jobs and more recently because my husband is in the U.S. Air Force. I became interested in wedding planning after having planned my own wedding a few years ago.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this course so far, although some of the projects and assignments have taken much longer than I originally thought. While this project was not necessarily difficult, I found it did take a long time to piece together. I also appreciated that this project used a variety of the assignments we have previously done.

I found this project to be useful for real world business planning as it allowed us to create templates that we will take with us into our own businesses. I focused mostly on creating a Bridal Package and giving detailed contract descriptions of the services I will offer.

CWEP: Project 2

Posted By Misty Currin (Henderson), Friday, August 24, 2018
Updated: Friday, August 24, 2018

Hello All, my name is Misty (Henderson) Currin living in the Dallas, Ft. Worth area. I am married with 3 incredible children that keep my husband and I busy with school activities, dance, baseball, football, etc. Upon completing this course, I will start my event planning business in the Dallas area. Within the next 5 years, my goal is to open a family owned and operated event venue that includes an elegant chapel, ballroom, executive kitchen, cocktail area, groom suite and bridal suite that specializes in the most “all-inclusive” event packages in the metroplex.

This course has significantly increased by event planning skills. By nature, I am a highly organized, detail-oriented people person; therefore planning has always been a passion of mine. The course has provided me with knowledge of best practices in the industry, helping me stand out from the crowd. We’ve experienced real-world processes, procedures, and techniques that professional event planners actually use.

Project 2 was everything! I created a website for my wedding planning business that included:

·         Our mission

·         Our Services

·         Photo Gallery

·         Testimonials

·         Biography

·         Wedding Resources

·         Contact Information

After completing this assignment, I could literally use the website ‘as-is’ to start promoting my event planning business.

Hello! My name is Mashelle. I am from New York City and adapted a niche for planning at an early age. Project 2 helped me understand the requirements for wedding planning. Before taking this course I had little to no interest in planning weddings but now I am more interested and excited about what is involved in wedding planning. My project gives a brief overview of the packages offered and why I decided to become an event planner.

Updated: Friday, July 27, 2018
Hello,
My name is Viktoriya and here is my Second  Project which i called "Midnight Forest"
The groom proposed to the bride in the middle of the night during their picknick in the park under a tree covered in lights. The bride couldn't be happier and was really moved by his idea. Both of them are into magical things.
I have created a mood board for them trying to recreate a fairy tale for their wedding day by letting nature to be the canvas. The wedding ceremony will be after the dark. The bride will walk down the aisle, which will be guided by many candles and trees will have lights trickling down, creating magical surroundings.
Laughter is timeless, imagination had no age, and dreams are forever.

Thank you for taking the time to look at my work!

CWEP Project 2

Posted By Karmen Johnson, Monday, July 16, 2018

Hello All!! Its that time again. As someone already in the industry, you would think Project 2 wouldn't be as helpful or pertinent to me. However, it is the exact opposite. Working on this project has made me realize what areas I could improve/refine in regards to my business.

I've found the desire to revamp my website for something a bit more polished and the need to update my contract for future clients. I've also found the benefit in providing a prospective client with a questionnaire to learn a little bit about them. This shows the client you care, but also fosters in your preparation to help them through the planning process.

I'm so looking forward to how these edits will make a difference in my business!

CWEP Project 2

Posted By Jenna Workman, Sunday, July 1, 2018

Hello! My name is Jenna.

I recently graduated with Associate Degree in Communication and began pursuing my wedding planning certification in January. I have always dreamed of planning weddings, so this program has been the best experience. I have absolutely loved this program and the knowledge it has brought me so far. Overall, I really enjoyed this project. It was incredibly tedious, and I faced many challenges; however, I continuously learned more information and loved the finish product I created. My mood board features my company name and visuals of mountain-based weddings. I felt like this mood board perfectly describes how I want my company to look and be based from.

Thank you!

CWEP Project 2

Posted By Nicole Vejar, Thursday, June 28, 2018

Hi there!

My name is Nicole Vejar and I have been the Assistant F&B Director, as well as Wedding & Event Planner at the Oakdale Golf and Country Club for over 7 years now. I am passionate about what I do, and am taking this online course to be better educated for future involvement in Weddings & Events.

Project 2 was a great project to give me a better idea of what I should charge for, how much to charge, and how to help the Bride & Groom plan their special events. My ultimate goal is to make sure my clients are more than 100% satisfied with my services, and I feel that this Wedding Package helps ensure that.

CWEP Project 2

Posted By Megan Orcutt, Wednesday, June 20, 2018

I absolutely loved this project! My favorite thing about it was that I got to think of all the ways to make selling my business super fun for the bride and groom. Putting together the packet, coming up with a color scheme, choosing the font, putting together a fun quiz to get to know them, all of it was just a joy.  I sent a copy to my wedding planning partner as well and she said she had trouble not wanting to fill it out for herself. I can not wait to be able to start handing these out at bridal shows this fall!

Project 2

Posted By Zeng Fang Chang, Tuesday, June 12, 2018

HERS Wedding is an online based, full services wedding and event planning company. With the development of the theme wedding trend, our market targets are Asian regions Malaysia, Singapore, China which the cities that retain in traditional weddings. Our company sells products through internet platforms to achieve the purpose low cost than in the store. We provided wedding consultation service,"day of"wedding service, a full package from beginning to the wedding day service, and we have some mix and match products, also we design and work on engagement party,  bridal shower, and bachelor party.

My online wedding planning company targeted customers are Malaysian, Singaporean, and Chinese, but my main focus point is Malaysia for this 2 years. There are too many cultures in this country because we have three main ethnic, Malay, Chinese, and Indian. Even though nowadays people from different ethnic was born in Malaysia and develop a mixed culture, however, we still have our own culture. My customer group for Malaysian are female, age between 27 years old to 33 years old. The income levels are variable, ranging from the lower to the upper levels. Hence, the wedding budget in Malaysia is around MYR 5,000 and MYR10,000. Malaysia is a multilingual country, hence, HERS Wedding employees need to be multilingual too so the customer can talk in their most comfortable way. Like me, I can speak English, Mandarin, Malaysia language, South Korean language, Cantonese, Hokkien, and Hakka.
