CWEP Project 1

Posted By Alisha T. Stephen, Monday, February 17, 2020
Hi! My name is Alisha Stephen, I’m 22 (almost 23) years old & I was born & raised in Lawrenceville, GA. I stay at home with my mom & older brothers. Before doing Lovegevity I was hoping from job to job mainly in retail. I was wanting to branch out but no one was accepting my application.  I thought long & hard about being a wedding planner & one day I asked my mom for help & I took the leap! I plan on becoming a very successful wedding planner that lives worry free about finances, time & stress.

In my project, I’ve been given a very sweet couple who is young & vibrant! They want an emerald green wedding with gold accents & touches of pale pink. The gold creates an amazing pop of color while the pink brings the two bold colors back down to earth & mellows things out.

CWEP Project #1 - Mood Board

Posted By Bianca Anderson, Sunday, February 16, 2020
Hi, my name is Bianca Anderson and this is the mood board for my ideal client / wedding design. I chose this aesthetic as it is clean, modern and chic. I love the splash of color that the greenery provides, as well as the accents of gold sprinkled throughout. My ideal client is a no nonsense working individual, who appreciates understated elegance and finer things in life, who doesn't have time for fluff and likes a clean look.

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Angela Roman, Saturday, February 15, 2020

Hi! I’m Angela Roman and I’m from Ankeny, IA. I’m a full-time stay home mom of 2 and a part time registered nurse. My passion for weddings started with my own wedding. I really enjoyed planning it and even used the power point slides to help me envision the whole picture. After my wedding I realized how much I missed planning. Since my wedding I’ve helped out with 2 weddings. Both of which are friends’ weddings. It only took me a while to realize that this is my dream job. I’m in the process of starting an event planning business, which specializes in weddings.

So far, this class has given me more foundation and better understanding of what goes on with wedding planning. I’ve been learning a lot and enjoying in the process. I am taking this class online and I didn’t realize how difficult it can be to stay on track.  But I’m determined to reach my goal and finish this class.

Even though, I had my challenges, I still had a lot of fun with this project. I love doing the research and showing my creativity. I loved building my own website and exploring Canva. I’ve actually never heard of Wix and Canva until this class.

For project 1 case study, I’m helping plan a spring wedding. The couple’s wedding colors are silver, plum and lavender/lilac. This wedding will showcase romance, elegance and a touch of rustic.

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Sara Jongeneel, Thursday, January 30, 2020
Updated: Sunday, March 8, 2020

Hello! My name is Sara, and I reside in Maryland. Though I currently work at a small marketing firm, I previously worked as a special events coordinator for various nonprofit organizations for a few years before pursuing the industry as a freelance event planner and florist. My ultimate goal is to start my own wedding and special event planning business that also offers floral design.

I am having so much fun in this course! I have already learned so much, and I am excited to continue building the foundations of my business with the knowledge I am receiving from the course. The course does a nice job of highlighting everything there is to know about the wedding industry and how to plan such a life-changing event. Although I am already an avid Pinterest and Canva user, the project allowed me to understand both of them to a greater capacity. It is an interesting idea to use Canva as a template for mood boards; I will be utilizing that much more often in my profession.

My mood board highlights a romantic spring countryside wedding and is inspired by a close acquaintance as she begins planning her own wedding. I wanted to craft a mood board that will showcase a bright and airy atmosphere with a neutral color palette filled with fresh greenery and touches of blush pink. In my mood board, I present a wedding that combines fresh florals and a touch of vintage countryside among a garden-like landscape, perfect for spring.

Quinceanera

Posted By Jennifer Ruth Carlson, Tuesday, October 1, 2019

Hi,

I'm Jennifer Carlson.  I grew up in Arlington, TX and live in the north Dallas area.  I've worked in supply chain most of my life, but had the opportunity to study and work in Mexico several times.  I'm hoping to have an event venue business with my husband, specializing in quinceaneras and Latin-focused events.  We are both bilingual and bicultural, and feel like that niche is missing where we live.

I've learned so much already in class, reading and doing this project.  Boy, it took a lot longer than I thought!  It's been really informative and eye-opening!

My project is a quinceanera, a coming out party for when a girl turns 15 and becomes an adult.  It has quite a few traditions, and I've chosen to do a typical one here for North Texas, which is less traditional than one might be in Mexico.

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Yana Ong, Tuesday, October 1, 2019

Hi,

My name is Yana Ong. I'm originally from Indonesia. I've moved to US for more than 20 years, have been in Dallas for more than 14 years. I'm currently working as a programmer, which is the field I graduated from. I grew to love the wedding industry when I planned my own wedding about 13 years ago. I enjoyed the whole planning process and I since then have helped with many of my church's events (special Christmas and food festivals, and baby showers) and planned my own daughters' birthday parties. It gave me joy to see the result after long detail planning process.

I've been learning a lot from the Certified Wedding and Event Planner course, especially in the business aspect of it. and for this project, I'm forced to think carefully of each details needed to be presented at a wedding.

I'm doing an intimate church wedding with a beautiful garden enough to accommodate the couple's families and close friends.

CWEP Projec 1 - Fall Inspiration

Posted By Alisha T. Stephen, Monday, September 9, 2019
Updated: Monday, September 9, 2019

I thought I'd make a fall inspired wedding mood board as my first project. Fall is around the corner & as the leaves change color, lots of inspiration arises. Fall is known for its red, yellow & orange toned leaves. This color scheme in my opinion is intriguing & beautiful. The bride will stand out in her gorgeous white dress. The groom can stem away from black tuxedos & get away with an nontraditional color like navy, burgundy or even a deep plum.

Hope you guys enjoy! Please provide me with all the feedback possible

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Sarah B. Siewsankar, Wednesday, July 10, 2019

My name is Sarah Siewsankar, from the Island of Trinidad and Tobago. I have always relished creativity and project planning; and having had the opportunity to successfully plan a charity event at my organization, this inspired me deeply to pursue my passion of becoming a wedding planner which lead me to Lovegevity!

As a professional in the event planning industry, my aim is ensuring clients' satisfaction in providing quality services. Certainly it will be an extreme honor in creating my clients' dream day to last a life time. I envision owning my own company someday in the near future.

The Lovegevity learning thus far has been very intriguing and exciting. This course provides immense information which enhances my knowledge about the wedding/event planning industry, surely it will be rewarding to great experiences and success ahead. I found this project to be interesting as it required choosing mood-related images featuring aspects of a spectacular event in 'real-time' and realizing the work involved in the planning process.

My mood board consists of a couple ultimate big day–their wedding! The couple desired an enchanting ceremony of an indoor modern experience using glamorous designs/floral to the theme white and gold with greenery, crystals, lit chandeliers and candles. The chosen color scheme was important as it signifies a divine new beginning of their everlasting love. In celebration, the couple wished for ample food, desserts and entertainment for unifying their families, relatives and friends from near and afar. And of course, the highlight of this event was capturing the blissful memories by awesome photography.

Updated: Friday, March 1, 2019

Greetings from San Francisco! My name is Marian Malasig. I just finished my 2nd week of this course and I'm feeling so much joy getting into a profession that excites me! With this mood board, I went with a muted tone of Ivory, Mint with a touch of Wine colors. I have always imagined a wedding right when summer ends and fall begins- not just to mark the transition of seasons but a transition of two beautiful people joining together.

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Eboni Davis, Friday, January 4, 2019
Hello, My name is Eboni Davis. I decided to create my mood board a little differently than some of the ones I have seen. The images are things that have motivated me to want to become an event planner. There's a picture of myself and 10 year old son. A picture of treat bags I made for my god daughter birthday party. The "blessed" image is what I have tattooed on me for my faith. The semi colon I have tattooed as well for the semi colon project. The picture of the mother and daughter is symbolic of me looking up to my own mother. The picture of me on a hill was taken while in South Dakota with my National Guard unit, I like to travel and serve my country. The last picture is a just a motivational quote that I thought was nice. All of these pretty much  sums up my personality.

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Lindsey E. Kidwell, Wednesday, October 10, 2018

Hello, my name is Lindsey Kidwell. I am from central Indiana. I just received my BS in Psychology a few months ago and have plans to work in human resources. I have always liked the idea of event planning, and would love to do it as a side job. During my time in this course, I plan on doing multiple things that will help me get my name out there such as make connections, put together business cards, prepare a packet, and build a website. I am really enjoying this course. I am getting some really great information out of it!

I had so much fun doing this project! The theme is a mix of country and winter wonderland. This wedding is for a couple in their mid 20s, and it is taking place in Ohio. This couple is getting married just one week before Christmas. They chose this time of year to get married because they started dating in college around this time 3 years ago, so the winter season holds a very special place in their hearts. And funny story, they actually happened to first meet in the same barn that they are getting married in at a mutual friend's party 3 months before they started dating, which makes it even more meaningful for them.

CWEP Project !

Updated: Wednesday, March 7, 2018

My name is Erica, and I am from a small town south of San Antonio. I currently reside in the ever growing Austin, TX. I have been in the food and beverage/events world for as long as I can remember. My mom planned quinces, weddings, and birthday parties in my hometown, and still does today.

I am currently a catering sales manager at a beautiful hotel and venue in the hills. I hope to take what I have learned in my career along with what I have learned from Lovegevity and open an event company with my mom. This particular project has allowed me to speak with vendors in a community, and see just how involved we all need to be when planning a wedding day.

My mood board was inspired by my couples personalities, with bold, fun colors, and classic wedding looks. I went for a timeless, almost vintage venue with classic details like chandeliers, blue velvet furniture, and century style lighting fixtures. Additionally, I chose more traditional wedding floral like red roses. This all came together with a venue located in San Antonio, TX.

CWEP Project 1- Mood Board

Posted By Jessica M. Reagan (Morgan), Wednesday, November 1, 2017
Hi! My name is Jessica Reagan. I am originally from Tennessee, but currently live in Colorado. My husband is in the Air Force, so we move around every few years. Before the Air Force, I was a sales manager for a manufacturing corporation. I now am a bookkeeper working from home, and I also do wedding and event planning for friends and family. My hopes are that I can use this opportunity to get certified, and then wedding and event planning will be my career! It is also a career I can take with me wherever the Air Force sends us! I am just getting started in this course, but it's been super informative so far! I am so excited to continue and learn more! My Project 1 will be a fall wedding set in Colorado. Fall has such great colors, and the weather in Colorado is perfect for an outdoor wedding! Attached is my fall wedding mood board made on Canva.

"Mood board" para mi primer proyecto el cual es la boda de Juan y Maru, una pareja que ha estado viviendo una relación a distancia por un tiempo y ha decidido casarse para finalmente estar juntos. La pasión de Juan por la aviación y la de Maru por la gastronomía fueron las principales inspiraciones para el diseño de su boda. Tendrá como escenario la playa de Key Largo en Florida.
