CWEP Project 3

Posted By Lesly Reyes, Wednesday, December 4, 2019
Updated: Wednesday, December 4, 2019

Lesly Reyes to offer wedding and event planning services as part of her professional event planning company. Manassas, VA-May 15, 2020-Lesly Reyes, a certified professional wedding planner to host her grand opening and launch of her business. She will offer engaged couples a thirty-minute complimentary consultation to meet and see how she can assist them in their wedding planning process.

I am in awe with everything I have learned through this course. After all the assignments and projects EventsLVR is born. I did not image when signing up for this course that by the end of it I would have the tools necessary to go out and start my own business. I am thankful for my instructor Ms. Pearlice who has believed in my abilities to be an exceptional and successful wedding planner.

For our grand opening, we want our guest to see, touch, feel and hear what their guest can experience when they allow EventsLVR to plan their event. This is the one moment, the first impression so we had to have all the bells and whistles. We will have cocktails and delicious shot glass foods. Local vendors will be showcasing their talents and we will host a small bridal fashion show. A wine pull will be held and all the proceeds will go towards The Breast Cancer Research Foundation which is very dear to my heart.

CWEP Project 2

Posted By Joya Wotila, Wednesday, April 10, 2019
Hi there, my name is Joya Wotila and I live in the great state of Texas but originally from the beautiful coastline of Northern California! I have always been involved with events and hosting since I was a child shadowing my mother. This course has opened up different aspects of the industry that I was not fluent in before so I am very appreciative. I especially feel very grateful for my instructor Cheryl Allgood who has demonstrated poise, grace and helpful knowledge all the way through. In Project 2 I get to explain how the way I grew up in a small village church with the events my mother help create gave me such a love for beauty, well displayed food, music and the hearts that enjoyed it all together.

Fairytale~Esque Project 1

Posted By Joya Wotila, Wednesday, April 10, 2019
Hello my name is Joya Wotila and I am originally from Northern California but have lived in Texas for the last 19 years. I am looking forward to having my own venue in the near future for all things wedding related. Project 1 was for a couple named Francis and Oliver who loves the European atmosphere of living and wanted to incorporate this with a fairytale~esque feel.

Project # 2

Posted By Sully Arias-Serna, Saturday, November 3, 2018

This project helped me structure all my scattered business ideas, and provided me with a better understanding on what to direction when starting a business. It made me realize there are a lot of details I still to need to consider. The assignment over all was an excellent first step to help organize and develop my business ideas.

My Journey to becoming a Certified Wedding and Event Planner!

Posted By Angela Haralson, Tuesday, October 23, 2018

When I first ventured to become a CWEP I was so nervous…to say the least.  However, as the session progressed my class has been treating this experience as a joint effort.  We have cheered for  and encouraged each other.  Desiree Dent has just been the buttercream icing on top of our cupcake…lol…she has been sweet, consistent and welcoming!

This journey to certification has brought out many, many qualities in this group of dope women!

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Lauren Gertz, Wednesday, October 10, 2018

Hello, my name is Lauren Gertz and I was born and raised in Rhode Island. I presently live in downtown Boston, Massachusetts working for a catering company and venue as an Event Planner and Sales Manager. I majored in Psychology and concentrated in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. I have worked in event planning all of my life through highschool, college, and in my present career. My true passion is in wedding planning and I have the pleasure of working with a wonderful couple, Marie and Brian for the 2019 wedding season.

Marie and Brian presently live in South Carolina. Brian’s family is originally from Boston, Massachusetts. They wanted to have their Ceremony and Reception somewhere that gives guests the feeling of being downtown in the historic district while also being by the water on the Boston Harbor. They chose The Exchange in Boston Seaport, where I presently work. They have a guest count of 150 and will be married in September 2019 with a budget of $40,000 for venue catering, beverages, rentals, and staffing.

The couple would like to have a fall themed wedding with a simplistic rustic and clean look incorporating shades of burnt orange, burgundy, cream, and gold. Invitations are a dark burgundy wood style background with gold text and white, orange, and burgundy detailing. Guests will stay at two nearby hotels, the Renaissance and the Seaport. They will be transported in an Old Town Trolley to and from the event. They will have a full 8 piece band with lots of New England Themed food. The attire for the event is casual black tie. I have assisted them with their escort cards that are designed to be pine cones, the card box that will be a hollowed-out cream pumpkin, and favors that will be cream and gold candied apples after their sparkler send-off.

My Lovegevity Experience Superseded My Expectations!

Posted By Diane Rogers, Tuesday, September 25, 2018
Updated: Tuesday, September 25, 2018

Hello Fellow Planners!

This course has been nothing short of a true blessing!  It has been one of the most thought provoking contributors to not only what and how I want to see my business, but it has challenged me to really seek out and search for my God- Given Ministry or Purpose (if you will) and just how the two are linked. When deciding to take this course, I never once imagined or even thought that it would cause me seek out my true purpose on earth and now here I Am!  This course from beginning to end has been more relevant to what I will actually need and be expected to know as an Events Planner Business Owner than my 4 year Bachelors of Business Admin Degree ever did.  I just only wish that I had discovered my niche back then and saved myself about 50k. Nevertheless, This has taken me step by step to making sure all my business affairs are in order so that I run not only a successful business but also a LEGAL business.  For Instance, I would have never thought that business insurance would have been affordable for me, but with the requirements of this course, it caused me to search to see that it as not nearly as bad as I had expected. I love the fact that this course has helped me to think outside the box and to consider my options for philanthropy, how to connect the dots with my business and how I can lend access to my followers and supporters to contribute right from my very own web page. I think I could go on and on about this course, so I better spare you as the reader!

All and All, I absolutely loved this course and every challenge it brought my way! (including the most daunting assignment 6.1). I'm so thankful for this one because it has definitely given me a jumpstart on connecting with some top notch Vendors. This course will be highly recommended for my future mentees.

Thank You,

Cho Phillips & Lovegevity University!

LWPI Project #1

Posted By Kayla Caravello, Wednesday, April 11, 2018
Hi my name is Kayla Caravello, I registered for this course because I have a passion for event planing. For about 12 years now I have been planning, coordinating and setting up for family and friends events and about 7 years for work events. And I noticed that my talent got better with each event. I have been doing it for free so why not get paid for doing something I truly enjoy and comes so naturally to me :)

18.6 LWPI Blog Contribution - My Experience as a Student

Posted By Monet Keaton, Sunday, March 25, 2018

I started the quest to find the right class to take to become a Wedding and Event Planner back in October 2017.  In January, 2018 I received a Triton Spring Catalog with my mail. I attempted to put the mail and the catalog on the countertop in the kitchen and was unsuccessful.  I dropped the catalog on the floor and it opened up to an insert for this Wedding and Event Planning certification class.

I must say this was one the of best decisions I have made.  My idea has become a reality, a business! Over the years I have voluntarily provided planning and creative designs to family and friends and now I have the tools to formally create a platform where I can officially demonstrate my skills.

My instructor Desiree is awesome.  I really enjoy the atmosphere of my classroom.  The discussions are open and she is a great instructor.  I have learned so much information within the last 2 months I'm a little sad that the class will be ending soon.
