CWEP Project 1

Posted By Hazel Lasat, 10 hours ago
For this assignment I went with a rustic barn wedding. The main color scheme of this wedding is sage green which can be found not only in the attire of the bridal party, but in the succulents used on the wedding cake, and extra leafy accents used in the bride's bouquet. I feel that the sage green fits well in a rustic barn setting because the color goes well with wooden accents such as reclaimed wood, barrels, and crates. This was a very fun assignment that really got my imagination going.

CWEP Project 2

Posted By Danielle Fortner, Friday, June 14, 2019

My company name is Grace Events. I named the company Grace Events because my daughter's middle name is Grace and it is because of her that I am even able to start this business. I also think that Grace Events has an elegant and sophisticated tone to it. The colors associated with my brand are light blues. I wanted my logo and website to display elegance and calm. I want clients to feel comfortable and confident in choosing me as their wedding coordinator and believe the tone conveyed in my business name, logo, and color scheme will help potential clients feel this way.

When I was thinking of how to set up my brand, I knew that I wanted it be convey a sense of elegance and romanticism. I wanted it to convey these two things because weddings are obviously romantic and are usually elegant. I wanted potential clients to know that I understand these features about weddings.

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Yessenia Jarvey, Thursday, June 13, 2019
My wedding board was inspired by a romantic floral theme. I wanted to stick with a elegant white floral vibe for the most part. Although I did add some blush pink as an accent color to the white and green floral theme. I loved the pink drinks with the beautiful flower inside as a beverage. As for food I went with pizza which at first seemed out of place but when I thought about it more I thought it was a fun touch. Sense the theme was revolving around romance I thought adding a gourmet pizza would remind people of date night with pizza. Overall I love the floral look to weddings. I wanted something that would be breath taking and glamorous for guests to be around. This assignment was so much fun and allowed my creativity to spark.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: KR Occasions presents their Grand Opening Event. Barryville, NY June 4th, 2019 - Expanding Company.  Here at KR Occasions we are beyond excited to announce the grand opening of our wedding and event planning company. What better way to launch the expansion of our company and give back to a foundation that helps Sullivan County Residents suffering from cancer.

I am so glad I took this course. I have been in the industry for about 10 years and there was so much information that I obtained and so many useful tips and tools. This class has helped build the confidence in my wedding planning business and really inspired me to build my business even more.

For project number 3 I decided to partner with The Can’t Hurt Steel Foundation. We are going to have an evening full of appetizers and hope mocktails. Where guests will create flower bouquets and cards for all those suffering with Cancer in Sullivan County.

Thank you so much Lovegevity for challenging me!

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Yosibel Garcia, Tuesday, June 11, 2019

My name is Yosibel García, I am from the Dominican Republic.I am 20 years all and since I was 13, I´am working events with my mom who is an Interior and event designer . Created my love for events since then. It was last year were I understood that weddings are my passion among all the other events. I have always have a passion for wedding I have participated in two weddings as my mother´s assistant and I´ve loved the experience. This year, decided to study wdding planning. I am a business management college student and I´m almost done with my career. We have a company named Place It Right  and we do all types of event, but my plans are to create Place It Right Weddings. I will love to be a successful wedding planner. I am a very detailed and organized person , I like thing to be on their perfect and right place. I have plans of moving to Florida within two years from now. I will want to start my wedding company and lovegevity has  help me a lot. This project was amazing, I loved planning every single detailed of it. It is my first project working by my own creating a wedding from scrash. I have worked a lot in events but with my mother, but with this project I had the opportunity of creating every single detail of it. It was amazing for me.

For this project I chose a theme to work on a signature wedding. The theme is Musical Wedding were the bride and the groom are unique and have a passion for music and art. The color palette of this wedding is dusty blue, gold and white. The reception will that place at a restaurant called Mecenas Cultural Cafe. This place is also an art gallery, one of the wonders of this place is that is both indoors and outdoors. The wedding will take place in both settings. When guest get there, there will be a group of violinist receiving them at the entrance. There will be a beautiful guest book to sign and a champagne wall to receive them. The amusement will take place outside, there will be the dance floor, the DJ and the band. On the inside there will be all the table set. The good thing about this place is that both inside and outside communicate so it will be really easy for the guest to enjoy every part of the event.  As for the attire, the bride will be wearing a beautiful white mermaid dress and the groom will wear a navy blue tuxedo. The groomsmen will wear gray tuxedos, while the bridesmaids will be wearing different styles of dresses but made with the same dusty blue fabric. The bride wants all of them to feel good with what they are wearing and to show their personalities.  The decoration will be amazing, there will be long tables with gold metal chairs, the center pieces will be mixed, some will be a complement of a musical instrument and flowers and the other ones will be tall floral arrangements. There will be beautiful linens and the table setting will be detailed and delicate. There will be a buffet and to receive the guest after the ceremony there will be hors d´ouevres. There will also be a dessert table with a great selection of sweets. A perfect way to make the groom fell special was adding a crepes station as part of the wedding appetite. For the appreciation, they will give there guest a little wooden music box with one of their favorite songs "La Vie en Rose". This wedding will be perfect.

Project 3

Posted By Marianne Dzikas, Monday, June 10, 2019

Hello everyone, my business is M.P.T.D EVENTS. The overall purpose of my business is to cater to almost any and every client ranging from high end to those who cannot afford the most extravagant wedding. Although that may be hard to do, I believe that it is possible and may actually result in the ideal clients that I'd rather work with. Throughout this course I truly felt that I began to find myself and have a better sense of direction of where my life is going. I have learned a vast amount of information in such a short period of time and value all that this course has offered me.

My project is displayed as one that I think captures the eye and shows the humble simplicity that my future company could offer in a sense that you don't need to be rich to get what you want out of your big day. M.P.T.D. EVENTS mission is to show how to make your dream day possible even with the smallest of budgets.

CWEP Assignment 1.3

Posted By Sandy Akard, Monday, June 10, 2019

Hello! My name is Sandy Akard from Runaway Bay, Texas. My company is Hearts Desire Events.  I chose this name based on the scripture from Psalm 20:4 "May He give you the desire of your heart and make all of your plans succeed" I am 50 years old and just getting around to working on the career path that I have "desired" for some time now. Planning weddings, parties, functions, etc. has always been something I have really enjoyed.  I have coordinated and designed a few weddings in the past and found it to be such a rewarding process.  I also have experience in themed birthday parties and milestone anniversary events. My goal is to become a Certified Wedding and Event Planner so that when I am able to leave my full-time current job, I can really do something I love for as long as I want to work.  This industry provides great flexibility in the size of at a person can choose their workload according to their own wishes and lifestyles.

For this assignment, I have created a mood board based on some of the pins I used to design my own wedding.  The color scheme was purple, silver, and navy. This was a destination wedding in Eureka Springs, AR. There was an appreciation dinner following the wedding at the Best Western Inn of the Ozarks Convention Center for those guests who made the trip.  It was catered by Mertie Mae's Restaurant. The main reception took place in Decatur, Texas two weeks after the wedding. The bride (me) prefers a modern clean-lines design, while the groom is an outdoors man who works with wood as a hobby.  Therefore, this wedding is themed "modern woodsman" and includes both modern design and wood touches to blend the two perfectly!

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Briana Carmody, Sunday, June 9, 2019
Project 1 was great for me because the client that I am working with right now wants an outdoor, woods wedding. This has helped for me to get the inspiration of what we are trying to achieve with the florals, decor, and overall aesthetics. To show her this mood board, she is able to see my vision of what we are going for with each decision that is made which is helpful to us both. She can make comments on where she sees something that she likes or doesn't like and we can update her vision from there.

This is a somewhat eclectic wedding design influenced by a close friend and bride. It follows a fall solstice color scheme, keeping to dark tones with light blush and sage notes to brighten things up a bit. The men's suits are a darker olive green to break from the monotony of grey or black. This is more of a country style wedding with lots of earthy vibes and make use of an old book collection for the table centerpieces. It feels like a special and personal occasion without seeming overly luxurious.

CWEP PROJECT 1

This is my collage for an Art Deco themed wedding. The collage reflects Art Deco style from the Save-The-Date Stationary to day-of wedding elements such as signage, floral, transportation, food, beverages and wardrobe. When researching images for Art Deco style, it is often related to the search term "Gatsby." It is a goal of mine to someday design an event in an Art Deco/Gatsby-esque theme. This is probably a more popular style in the area where I grew up on the East Coast. You don't see as much of this style or theme in Texas, and there aren't as many local venues that reflect this style.

Kayce / KR Occasions

Posted By Kayce Drasher, Saturday, June 8, 2019

Hello my name is Kayce.

I started my own wedding and event planning business in 2013, out of my home in Sullivan County, NY. 2017 was the most weddings I have held which was 3 day of coordination's. This year I have booked 6 day of coordination weddings. So I decided it was about time to make this a full time gig for myself. So I decided to join Lovegevity's Certification program. I am 2 weeks away from being complete.

I currently work full time, I have 2 children, I sell PartyLite Candles, Goat Milk Soap and Lotion, and my wedding and event planning business, KR Occasions. I would love the opportunity to make this my full income so I can spend more time with my children.

Wish me luck!

Project 2

Posted By Marianne Dzikas, Wednesday, June 5, 2019

Hello again, My name is Marianne Dzikas, as I stated in my first blog just a few minutes ago I am still currently an assistant manager at a pizzeria in the Bronx. My goal still is to help create experiences for people. Looking further into the future I would like to expand my business after it gets started by producing products such a "Thank You" and "Appreciation" boxes which could possibly either just be a gift I give back to my clients or as well as a gift clients give to their guest, friends, and family.

My idea for project 2 was to make my services reasonable as well as making them affordable and interchangeable. I tried to make it as easy on the eye as possible by giving as much information as I could while keeping it short and sweet. Cho Phillips' webinar on pricing and packaging made this project a whole lot easier to construct, especially when she spoke about anchor pricing. I'm very much looking forward to learning more from her and from all the other students from their posts!

Project 1

Posted By Marianne Dzikas, Wednesday, June 5, 2019

My name is Marianne Dzikas, I am currently an assistant manager at a pizzeria in the Bronx. I am looking very much to hopefully starting my own event planning business, this course has truly opened my eyes to new ideas beyond what I thought I could make of myself. My goal is to help create experiences for people. Even though I am an introvert, I do love working with all kinds of people and take great pride in simply making their day better even simply by saying a few kind words. Having worked in a Pizzeria for almost ten years, I have learned to handle many difficult situations and empathize with challenging customers. I never take anything personally, you really never know what another person is going through.

My project's theme was "something blue". I may have threw in too many shades, but the concept I concocted was to reveal the calmness of the color and renowned wedding quote and tradition. I tried to incorporate the "couples" old family traditions with the simple childhood game of corn hole along with a projector that played over later on in the reception of old pictures throughout their lifetime.

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Melanie M. Chao, Wednesday, June 5, 2019

Hi there -

For project 1 I decided to go with the girly elegant vibe. Which is something I would typically go for if I was a bride. I think the picture that stands out the most is the in & out truck! My vision is after a long night of partying - I would have a food truck waiting outside for my guest to depart. Who doesn't love a good late night snack?

CWEP Project 1

Howdy - I'm Sabrina, owner and Wedding & Event Planner of Lillie Jane Designs (named after my late, great grandmother). I already had a business Pinterest account and recently took a short webinar on tips to increase viewers and sales from your Pinterest by downloading Canva, so this project came in serendipitous timing! I'm planning a styled shoot with a few local vendors next month, so this project gave me the perfect chance to develop the mood board for the shoot. I LOVE dried floral and all things vintage (I'm a true grandma at heart), so this board reflects the rich tones in dried flowers as well as the romantic simplicity of a vintage winter wedding. Hope you like it :)

CWEP Project No. 3

Posted By Bethany L. Moberley, Monday, June 3, 2019
Updated: Monday, June 3, 2019

I am so excited to have finished this project and announce Rose & Lily Events' Project 3 completion!!

Fredericksburg, Virginia, Saturday, July 11th 2019 Rose & Lily Events is celebrating their Grand Opening as a certified event and wedding planning company. With an eye for detail and a heart for excellence, Rose & Lily events focuses on bespoke and fine art celebrations. With a love for creativity and family, intimate events are their specialty.

I have been going through the self-study online CWEP course. I started at the turn of the year and as Rose & Lily Events is actually already in motion as my current business and because I am a work-from home wife and mom I have been moving through this course slowly but at a sustainable pace. I have enjoyed my course thus far and look forward to being able to add a certification to my title!

This project is No. 3 for the certification program and features what could be our Grand Opening celebration. It details the A6 elements I chose to make this a festive signature event. From featuring local vendors to supporting a local crisis pregnancy center this event has it all!

Below you will find the mood board for our mauve, white, grey, and gold celebration. We are going for a classy, vintage vibe with modern touches.

CWEP Project 2

Posted By Kathia Martinez, Saturday, June 1, 2019

Hello My name is Kathia Martinez.

I love planning events and helping people.  I have a Bachelor Degree in Hospitality and Tourism Administration mention Marketing of University Apec from the Dominican Republic.  After graduating in 2012, I started working in the hotel industry. In 2015 I started working as an event coordinator and it was the place where I confirmed my love for events. I live now in New York City and I found Lovegivity  University in my search to get certified as an event planner. I'm always in constant training to give the best to my clients.

I love to get involved in every detail of events and enjoy seeing them come  to life after months or even days (depend type of events) of preparations. My favorite moments of an event is when our clients  see their space ready just prior to guest arrival. Although I am new to the industry, I have been planning all my life. I have planned and worked  for my friends and family plan and execute their events (Birthdays, baby showers).
