Mood Board

Posted By Nasem Jabary, 3 hours ago

Hello,

My name is Nasem Jabary, i am really excited as I made the best decision to take this course, this is my first assignment for CWEP (1.3). I chose a spring wedding themed mood board, I specifically decided to stick with ivory's and blush pinks because these are elegant theme colors.

CWEP Project 1.3

Posted By Alissah Garner, 4 hours ago

Hi, my name is Alissah Garner. I have always loved to help plan weddings and events when I was younger, now that I am out of high school, I can focus on being a professional Wedding and Event Planner. I love making couples dreams come true and to be apart of something special means a lot to me. I would like to begin my own Wedding and Event planning business in the future.I am looking forward into learning new things from this class and being able to do what I love!

My inspiration with my mood board was an elegant and rustic theme. It has a pinkish and gold mix to make it look elegant and wood slices and carved wood flower holders to make that rustic theme come together.

Blog Capitulo 8: Guirnalda

Posted By Teresa Memije, Sunday, August 9, 2020

Posted By Teresa Memije, Sunday, August 9, 2020

Blog: Capitulo 7

Posted By Teresa Memije, Sunday, August 9, 2020
Updated: Sunday, August 9, 2020

Assignment 18.6

Posted By Reona Nomura, Saturday, August 8, 2020
To this point was a long and tough journey. Reading and learning about wedding and event planning was surprising and eye-opening. I did not realize how much planning and hard work goes in. Some projects and assignments were challenging for me, but I have learned to push and overcame those challenges. I am excited to see how this journey will advance into my next chapter.

CWEP Project 1.3

Posted By Danielle West, Wednesday, August 5, 2020

Hi my name is Danielle.  I've been in the hospitality industry for 12 years, however my love for wedding/event planning started in 2011. I was in awe with all of the magic/logistics that took place behind the scenes.  After years of working for a Country Club as Lead Planner, I decided to take a leap of faith and begin my own W/E planning business! I'm looking forward to advancing my skill set and pushing my creative envelope.

My inspiration was a Jewel Theme, mood wedding.  Living in the Hudson Valley (NY) we are very into our scenic views and rustic weddings.  I enjoyed the challenge of playing with color and look forward to creating more!

CWEP Assignment 1.3

Posted By Taryn Fontenette, Wednesday, August 5, 2020

Hi, my name is Taryn. I have been a professional events/wedding planner for the hospitality industry for the past fifteen years. Unprofessionally since I was eight years old. For years, some of my closest friends and family members told me that I should start my own event planning business. So now that I have time on my hands I can finally accomplish that.

My mood board is tilted the Blushing Bride, it's not new concept, but it's one of my favorite looks. Enjoy!

Project 1

Posted By Brooklyn Andrews, Monday, August 3, 2020

Hello!

My name is Brooklyn. I don't have any experience in wedding planning, but I can't wait to start. I had a lot of fun with this project but it took me a long time to finish it.

I wanted this to be really challenging so I went with a 1920/1930 vintage circus theme. I feel like it challenged me in many ways and i can't wait to plan more.

CWEP Project 2

Posted By Anya Nenadavets, Thursday, July 30, 2020

Hello!

My name is Anya, I am from Georgetown Texas. Currently I am working on becoming a Certified Wedding and Event planner and opening my own business. Working on the brand, I have chosen 2 main colors for the palette - copper and navy blue. Copper goes between feminine and neutral feeling, and navy blue more masculine - and combined together these two colors mean that I work with any couples, any genders, any sexual preferences.  Also I believe that a combination of navy blue and copper is very elegant and gorgeous, so I used it for my promotional material, business cards and website.

CWEP Project 2

Updated: Wednesday, July 29, 2020

Hello, my name is Kseniia (or just KayKay). I'm currently a student at Lovegevity.

Bloom Events Company is concentrated to create beautiful, genuine, and personal experiences that inspire our clients and their guests. Life is incredibly short. You must celebrate the life you are creating and the people you are creating it with. A celebration gives definition, energy, and focuses on what is most important. Celebrations represent commitments, achievements, beginnings, and maybe even endings. What exactly are you celebrating? What is the intention of your event? How are we going to express that intention?

Working on this project made me realize how many details you need to put together to make your business look good. And that's just for the beginning. Making your company successful is not something you could just wish for, it's tons of hard work.

The make up brand colors are pale pink, white and light grey.

Chapter 1 - Floral Design Tools

Posted By Kathie Ball, Tuesday, July 28, 2020
Updated: Tuesday, July 28, 2020

Hi everyone,

I was able to put together my floral tool kit by various purchases on Amazon. I am very pleased with everything I got! This weekend I was able to use my clippers and wire cutters to help arrange center pieces for a small family get together. Everyone enjoyed the arrangements, and even my daughter was very excited to use the clippers and help!

Below are links to a couple of the tools that I purchased that I had never seen before if anyone is interested:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PRFDD3Z/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_image_o08_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
These are for removing rose thorns, I had never known about this tool before and I am so excited to try it!

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B088J59Q2C/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_image_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
This is a spray to keep flowers/bouquets fresh longer.

Right now I am working on researching how to obtain a business license to be able to purchase whole sale flowers.

Thanks for reading!
Kathie

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Barbara Schudel, Tuesday, July 28, 2020

My name is Barbara and I am from Kalamazoo, Michigan.  Yes!...there is a Kalamazoo!  I have a Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering and have worked in the chemical / pharmaceutical industry for thirty-three years.  Recently I completed restoration of a one room schoolhouse.  What better way to share its history than use it as a gathering place for events of fifty or less.  Being a venue owner is a totally new field of learning opportunities.  There is a lot for me to learn.   Although I currently have no plans to become a formal wedding planner, this course certainly is providing me with loads of information and understanding of the event planning business.

The wedding I envisioned for this first project has a relaxed and laid-back feeling with hopes of creating an event with simple sweetness that is intimate, informal, and family oriented.  The groom, being Irish, provides the opportunity to ensure Irish tradition and shamrocks are incorporated into the sunflower theme.

Week one design was actually really amazing. Once I realized I was trying to do it wrong, it was a quick fix. It might be a little on the rough side, but hey so am I. It’s definitely the start of something great.

CWEP Project 1

Posted By valencia frymier, Monday, July 27, 2020

Hiiii my lovely wedding to-be event planners!

My name is Valencia, I live in Ohio. I always wanted to be a wedding/event planner since I graduated from high school, however; I didn't have the confidence in myself that I could do it and most importantly I didn't know the steps to take to become one. A girl from my home town became an event planner and it inspired me so much! I am an Esthetician as of right now but the pull on my heart for becoming a planner won't go away until I follow my dream. So here I am!

Paula and Devan are planning a "moonlight" themed wedding. The little mermaid is Paulas favorite movie but her favorite scene of the movie is when Ariel and The Prince take a boat ride along the river at night and they almost have their first kiss. The song that is played during that scene  is the kind of vibe she wants to feel when she walks into her wedding. So I did some research and  wanted to stay in the color scheme of midnight blue and different shades of blush along with scattered gold to highlight the stars and floral green to bring along the river theme. Lots of candles will be incorporated to give off a romantic feel. The send off will be my favorite part as they get on a little boat (like the movie) that will be decorated in tea lights and florals. Every guest gets a Chinese flying lantern  to send off as they wish the happy couple good bye on their send off.
