Hi, my name is Zoe Bergmann. I'm from Weatherford, TX and I am taking this course in hopes of becoming a professional wedding planner! I liked this project and having the creative freedom to create a fun wedding. I created the couple, Leilani and Cole and they will be getting married in Maui, Hawaii in June of 2019. I selected all local vendors and made the wedding as traditional and close to the Hawaiian culture as possible. I hope you enjoy my mood board and my project!

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Lindsey E. Kidwell, Wednesday, October 10, 2018

Hello, my name is Lindsey Kidwell. I am from central Indiana. I just received my BS in Psychology a few months ago and have plans to work in human resources. I have always liked the idea of event planning, and would love to do it as a side job. During my time in this course, I plan on doing multiple things that will help me get my name out there such as make connections, put together business cards, prepare a packet, and build a website. I am really enjoying this course. I am getting some really great information out of it!

I had so much fun doing this project! The theme is a mix of country and winter wonderland. This wedding is for a couple in their mid 20s, and it is taking place in Ohio. This couple is getting married just one week before Christmas. They chose this time of year to get married because they started dating in college around this time 3 years ago, so the winter season holds a very special place in their hearts. And funny story, they actually happened to first meet in the same barn that they are getting married in at a mutual friend's party 3 months before they started dating, which makes it even more meaningful for them.

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Lauren Gertz, Wednesday, October 10, 2018

Hello, my name is Lauren Gertz and I was born and raised in Rhode Island. I presently live in downtown Boston, Massachusetts working for a catering company and venue as an Event Planner and Sales Manager. I majored in Psychology and concentrated in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. I have worked in event planning all of my life through highschool, college, and in my present career. My true passion is in wedding planning and I have the pleasure of working with a wonderful couple, Marie and Brian for the 2019 wedding season.

Marie and Brian presently live in South Carolina. Brian’s family is originally from Boston, Massachusetts. They wanted to have their Ceremony and Reception somewhere that gives guests the feeling of being downtown in the historic district while also being by the water on the Boston Harbor. They chose The Exchange in Boston Seaport, where I presently work. They have a guest count of 150 and will be married in September 2019 with a budget of $40,000 for venue catering, beverages, rentals, and staffing.

The couple would like to have a fall themed wedding with a simplistic rustic and clean look incorporating shades of burnt orange, burgundy, cream, and gold. Invitations are a dark burgundy wood style background with gold text and white, orange, and burgundy detailing. Guests will stay at two nearby hotels, the Renaissance and the Seaport. They will be transported in an Old Town Trolley to and from the event. They will have a full 8 piece band with lots of New England Themed food. The attire for the event is casual black tie. I have assisted them with their escort cards that are designed to be pine cones, the card box that will be a hollowed-out cream pumpkin, and favors that will be cream and gold candied apples after their sparkler send-off.

Hello!  My name is Akeria Kelley and I am from Dallas, Texas.  My current occupation is in inspections. My plan is to open an event center in the near future and being a professional wedding and event planner will be a great asset.  I loved this project because i was able to show my creativity and I learned about a couple of apps.  This course so far has given me more than I expected.

My project is about Dan Smith and Yuvette Greenleaf.  They met in New Orleans during Mardi Gras at a café in the French Quarters.  In conversation, they found out they were best friends in younger years.  Dan’s family moved away when they were only 7 years old.  After all these years, they have reconnected with an unbreakable love.  I have the privilege of planning their wedding with the theme of Mardi Gras.  The date is set for February 9, 2019.  They will exchange vows in a gorgeous hotel in the French Quarters.

Hello! My name is Amelia-Faith and am taking this course through the University of Tennessee. I went with a very relaxed, kind of outdoorsy mood board for my project. It matches the theme of the venue I have chosen to tour later this week. Ive personally always liked the weddings that felt like it was just a big family get together with great food, friends, family, games and laughter. I hope you all like it!

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Lorrie Martin, Tuesday, October 9, 2018

Hi everyone! My name is Lorrie Martin and I am from Knoxville, Tennessee! For my first assignment, I searched for industrial/modern themed wedding ideas on Pinterest because I felt that it matched the venue that I have chosen to visit for my next assignment. The Mill and Mine is the venue that I am going to be visiting in the next week and I included a picture of it at the bottom of my mood board for reference. I think that this venue is a great location for a bride who is looking for that industrial feel and also needs a large space due to a large number of guests! I hope you enjoy my design for an industrial/modern themed wedding!

Hello, My name is Nikki Modha and I am from Dallas, Texas. Events has always been my first love. I find myself incredibly happy when I get to put together an event and someone's vision. It makes me even happier if they are content. I'm excited about this course because it is already helping me shape the way I stay organized about planning events. I can't wait to see what else I can learn!

This project is different because it is an Indian Wedding. They are usually a lot longer than traditional Chrisitian ones. A lot goes into organizing and planning and its a team effort. I hope you enjoy my design for Raj and Naina and their traditional Indian Wedding!

Hello, my name is Megan. For my third and final project, I launched my business "The Stuart Co.Events." Our grand opening event was titled, "Rolling on the Rivers." I am from the Pittsburgh area, and Pittsburgh's known for our three rivers. The idea behind the event was to take a dinner/river cruise around the city, meet potential clients/vendors, and tell them about my new business. I had a lot of fun creating this project. It really brought the vision that I have for my company to life. Through this course, I have learned a lot of valuable information that will most definitely go to use!

Relationship Education

Posted By Megan Stuart, Monday, October 8, 2018
I read the article "You Can't Hurry Trust" by Linda and Charlie Bloom. It was about a couple that experienced infidelity. It was interesting to read both sides of the scenario. The woman, Joyce, felt betrayed by her husband once he cheated. The husband, Barry, felt that he needed more, but once he realized his wife was enough it was too late. Trust is always a key factor in if a relationship is going to last. It was definitely a good read!

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Claudia Boateng, Monday, October 8, 2018

Greetings! my name is Claudia Boateng I attended Columbia College Chicago where I studied graphic design. I have always had a great love for the wedding industry and have even designed wedding invitations for close family and friends. This year I wanted to venture off and learn a new skill by becoming a certified wedding and event planner. I am taking the fall course at Triton College under the direction of my wonderful instructor Desiree Dent. Desiree is the best, she has opened my eyes to so many elements of event planning that I didn't know existed and she is teaching us how to become our own boss. My future goal is to one day own a successful wedding and event planning company that will eventually lead me into planning events for celebrities like famous wedding planner David Tutera.

For my project I planned a wedding for an eclectic couple named Xena and Idris and their theme is modern chic. They are a non-traditional fun couple who wanted to break the norms of wedding trends by opting out on flowers for their reception and choosing interesting design patterns for their table design. The two are planning an elaborate affair for 150 of their closest family and friends. Their colors are black and white, with hints of maroon for a pop of color; their modern affair will take place in May of next year.

Hi!

Hello my name is Stephanie House, I'm originally from Colombia came to USA 6 years ago, currently living in Frisco, TX (Dallas area). My goal through this course in to start my own wedding planning company to help couples that are in love have their picture perfect wedding.  My goal for the future is to use my background in graphic design, to provide invitation, save the date and other wedding related materials such as thank you cards.  My skill set will allow me to make the bride's day even more special.  With my project I would like to show a bohemian style that showcases how the groom and bride entered each other's lives.  My clients Sarah and Pete are avid outdoors enthusiasts and would love to have an outdoor wedding.  They will be using Petes parents summer house which is located in the Borough region of France.  Sarah expressed an interest in providing her guests the ideal Franchise experience, she has put me uncharge of picking out several regional wines that her and Pete will select from.  As their wedding planner it is my responsibility to make all of their dreams come true.  I will use all of the knowledge that I gained in my wedding planning course and my life experiences to ensure my clients have the best experience possible.

The project I am presenting is about a young couple who is planning to get married in November 2019. They would like for their wedding to be simple but elegant. They are a very outgoing couple and favorite season is Fall. They want to ensure a Fall color scheme is incorporated in their wedding.

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Haley M. Johnson, Wednesday, October 3, 2018

My name is Haley and I just began my career in the events industry as a wedding coordinator for a beautiful winery. I do not have a ton of experience so I am so excited to begin my journey with Lovegevity so that I can get the proper education and get the confidence and skills I need to help everyone have their dream wedding. One day in the future I would love to start my very own wedding planning business.

I really enjoyed this assignment and had so much fun creating this dreamy mood board. Growing up I have always LOVED fashion, particularly french fashion and their culture. Having recently traveled to Paris, I was so inspired by all of the beautiful architecture, the fashion, along with the pretty peonies that lined the streets. For this wedding, I envisioned a stunning ceremony and reception taking place in an old and historic French Chateau outdoors. The wedding takes place in May, with the colors being pink, black, white, and accents of gold. This couple really wanted to have an elegant affair with little pops of fun, such as the strawberry macaroon display. This is one wedding not to be missed!

I hope you enjoy and feel inspired! : )

My name is Janie and I am originally from Dallas but now I live in Grand Prairie. For almost 17 years I was an administrative assistant for a hospital in Dallas. Being laid off was my opportunity to work towards my dream of becoming a certified wedding and event planner and own my own venue.

This course has been so much fun so far. I am learning a lot about all the details involved in wedding and event planning. Randy is very knowledgeable and helpful especially while working on Project 1. My project was so much fun. I have planned an elegant Rose Gold Vintage wedding for high school/college sweethearts Katie and Jake. The date is set for November 2, 2019 and to enjoy the nice fall weather they will exchange their vows in the beautiful Garden Gazebo at NaKayshions Wedding and Event Center that has a beautiful view of the lake and surrounded by roses.

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Patrik Królik, Wednesday, October 3, 2018

Hello Lovegevity students.

My name is Patrik. Maybe some of you don´t know where my country even is but I´m from Slovakia. In my country courses like this don´t exist so I find Lovegevity and my experience so far is pretty goood. I love how this course works and all within. I started this course because I work in wedding/event industry for a little over 2 years and I can´t manage to find job as Wedding/Event coordinator without proper education. So I choose this university based on reviews and love for course overview.  I always loved weddings and events, how everything need to be perfect in the eyes of client.  For my mood board. I choose original pink/rose theme but with modern twist of rose gold colors. I always loved traditional colors on the weddings but I need little  twist here and there. My wedding theme is pictured in my head mostly in outdoor event tent. Decoration is simple but yet effective in eyes of newlyweds. You can make so much in outdoor wedding or event. I think thats my favorite place to plan an event or wedding. Thank you for your time to read and enjoy my moodboard :) . See you soon.

CWEP Project 1

Updated: Wednesday, October 3, 2018

My name is Alyssa Romo.

I just began my journey here at LWPI, I have always had an eye for attention and details. Within seconds of meeting new people I have a sense of who they are and what they like. I have learned to know the importance of wanting something done perfect. Yes, perfect is near impossible; that is true. But with great attention and knowledge of what someone truly loves and making it come to life. Those are the goals I personally look forward too.

Here is my mood board, it's not a traditional wedding. This steam punk inspired wedding comes just in time for fall and shows the variety of colors we can work with. Showing gears for themed pieces, and bouquet, invitations and a cake. Browns, red, bronze color scheme would compliment the theme. I see an evening time wedding to match, with this being a rustic feel, you can incorporate glass into your centerpieces with touches of red and bronze. As well as outdoor lighting to set the overall feel of the wedding. Red roses will place a very romantic feel to show the tone of the wedding.

I hope you enjoy this theme, it's a favorite of mine. Being able to express your personality and style into your dream day should be the most important theme of your big day !

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Margaret Smoak, Monday, October 1, 2018
Updated: Monday, October 1, 2018

My name is Margaret and I just began the CWEP course. I am very excited to begin my career in the wedding planning industry. I have always been drawn to the pageantry, gorgeous colors, and glamour of weddings and I am finally following that dream!

I loved doing this project because I was really able to study different aspects of the wedding planning industry and focus on the details of many styles of weddings. I learned that the smallest of details really can make a difference and, after looking at many, many (many) beautiful pictures, was able to recognize which wedding styles are compatible with one another. Having matching styles throughout the wedding is crucial and I feel that this Christmas Wedding for which I made my mood board, creates a good balance of formality and festivity.

My couple is planning a Christmas Wedding on December 22, 2019. They have been together for three years and chose a Christmas theme because that holiday is very important to them. Their dress code has been defined as "Semi-Formal/Festive" and their atmosphere is going to feel like a cozy holiday party. The couple's wedding will be held in the ballroom of a hotel with dimmed lights, a fireplace, and Christmas trees strung with lights set up throughout the room. They have chosen their own take on traditional Christmas colors using carmine red, emerald, green, and glitter gold.

CWEP Project 1

Updated: Sunday, September 30, 2018

Although I have always enjoyed wedding planning and developing details for special events, the awesome experience of planning my daughter’s wedding last year gave me a sense of fulfillment. It also gave me the courage to pursue event planning as a career and to pursue my passion. The most important thing is that I have found what I love to do. It is a joy to be a part of the beginning stages of an event, to organize and design a concept, and to be a part of a special day filled with love. I look forward to helping other couples experience a happy wedding filled with loving memories.

My mood board presents a fall wedding that is scheduled in the month of October of 2018. The bride and groom wanted a formal and upscale wedding with a color scheme of light pink, white, and gold. The couple decided to book their wedding in a luxurious hotel because they liked the sophisticated style and romantic feel.

CWEP Project 1

I really enjoyed doing this assignment and being able to create my own mood board with pictures that I found that really pulled the idea of the wedding together. I was able to use pictures of bouquets, invitations, table settings, wardrobe, and even a cake to pull together the look of this fall burgundy wedding. I tried to get thinks that really showed off the simple look of this wedding that really incorporated one main color, burgundy. I also used a lot of flowers and floral themes because flowers and greenery would be a big part of this wedding. I hope you all enjoy my take on the mood board. Thank you!
