CWEP Project 1

Posted By Kaila Walker, 39 minutes ago
My name is Kaila and I am from Orlando, Florida. My goal is to keep growing in the Weddings Industry here in Orlando. I love that people travel from very far to get married in this city.

My experience in this course has taught me a lot of valuable lessons, my favorite being the hour video course on media. I'm trying to learn as much as I can with the knowledge that I would love to grow in a large organization, rather than have my own company. Some of the assignments required do not directly apply to me but I know there is value in thinking through from a different perspective. I'm enjoying the course thus far.

My project was about a client met her husband at The University of Miami where they both got their undergraduate degree. For their first anniversary, he took her to her favorite place, Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL. She knew her wedding would be at The Wedding Pavilion when her wedding day came. Because of this, the venue was a non-negotiable.The groom and his family are Italian, so they both wanted to incorporate some of these traditions into the wedding.

CWEP PROJECT 1

Posted By Joseph Barragan, Thursday, April 2, 2020
Aricah and Kyle are in their early 30's and have known each other for 10 years, but have only dated for 4 years and engaged for 1 year. They both grew up around water, Aricah near a lake and Kyle near the Chesapeake Bay, so they wanted to share their love for the water with their guests and chose a quaint resort nestled on a small river. The late Spring formal wedding will be highlighted with bright shades of coral flowers and mixed metal place settings. Guests will dine on fresh seafood which will feature a raw oyster bar during cocktail hour. Instead of a grand exit, they would like a grand entrance into their reception where the guests can toss biodegradable confetti as they enter the space.

LWPI Project 3

Posted By Judy A Woolfolk, Wednesday, April 1, 2020

PRESS RELEASE:   September 5, 2020  Celina, TX

      CELINA'S NEWEST BUSINESS

Pure Bliss Weddings & Events is finally open!

In December, 2019 local high school teacher Kayla Looper bought her first home; a 100+ year old house on Arizona Street here in Celina.  The house was in great need of repair, so Kayla and her parents, Tim & Lahoma Looper, have completely renovated the house.  During that time, along with her teaching responsibilities, Kayla successfully completed a 12 week accelerated course sponsored by Lovegivity University through Collin College, and has earned the title of Certified Wedding & Event Planner.

Pure Bliss Weddings & Events was formed by Kayla, her mom Lahoma, and family friend Judy Woolfolk to fulfill their dream of planning amazing events for clients who don't have the time or just want to avoid the stress of planning an important event.

To launch the new company and showcase Kayla's new home, a celebration was held Saturday, September 5th at the Arizona Street home.  Because Pure Bliss is a full service planning service, the owners wanted to showcase their designing talent and also display items that are available for rental.  Original décor and floral designs were featured throughout the property.

Celina's own Toasted Walnut Table and Market and Eden Hill Vineyard provided the delicious food & wine for the event. An acoustic band and yard games entertained guest.

Guests were asked to bring new school supplies and/or backpacks for Celina's needy students.  Favors were given guests and drawings were held to give guest the floral arrangements.

For further information about Pure Bliss, please contact Kayla, Lahoma, or Judy at 972-335-6645 or email them at Kayla@purebliss.com

I am 73 years old and have been in business for myself for over 50 years so running businesses  is nothing new to me and I thought going into this course that it would be so easy...…….I was wrong!

Our instructor, Shamica Sweat, gave us so much practical knowledge of the industry that I had no idea even existed.  I never knew there was so much detail and planning involved in actually running this type of business even though I had a floral design business and did flowers and designs for weddings and events.  And then there is the immense world of internet apps and websites that help make this business operate efficiently. The weekly assignments were challenging, and the 3 major projects were demanding but everything helped me to understand how to navigate this thing they call Wedding Planning!  Thank you.

CWEP Project 2

Updated: Wednesday, April 1, 2020

My name is Myra Collins, developer and owner of For All Occasions Decorating and Design. My career in event planning and decorating began in 1994, long before knowing that I could live my life doing what I loved and making money doing it. My first job as a planner, designer, and decorator was my own wedding. What I considered to be the event of the year turned into the dream of a lifetime. I soon began helping to plan, coordinate, and decorate weddings, parties and other special events for friends, church, and family members.

By divine design, I am an event decorator and designer. But like many people my career was not moving in that direction. So after years of working as a case manager in a not for profit organization, I refined my hobbies in photography, holiday decorating and party planning. I am now building my future as an event decorator/designer with the intent of leaving a legacy for my children and grandchildren.

In April 2020, I will receive a certificate in Wedding and Event Planning from Lovegevity University. Subsequently, I plan to obtain a certification in Event Designing with the ultimate goal of opening a multi-functioning venue within the next 5 yrs. The venue will incorporate my passions in design, photography and planning. The venue will be an art gallery setting with space for customers to host special events such as parties, engagements, showers, anniversaries and weddings. I have learned so many things from this class in such a short time as it relates to business.  Although my ultimate goal is pursue decorating and design, this class has helped me to obtain a great deal of knowledge needed in order to launched a successful business.

Sara Feolino, a certified professional wedding planner and co-owner of Journey To Marriage LLC, is hosting their first annual Bridal Ball for brides to network with other brides and some of Las Vegas’ outstanding vendors.  Each bride will also receive a complimentary consultation to help plan their big day along and a complimentary couples coaching session.

Creating a grand opening for my business has give me vision and drive to bring it to life when the time comes.  It has given me a lot to think about in regards to reaching my target market through different marketing avenues; social media, press releases, brochures, business cards, etc.

Project 3 isn't only about getting potential clients/vendors excited about working with me but also to get excited about planning their wedding versus seeing it as something stressful.  Those attending will experience a night of excellent food, entertainment and other services that won’t break their budget.

PROJECT 1: Plan a Social Event or Wedding

Posted By Bao Yang, Tuesday, March 31, 2020

Hi Everyone! My name is Bao. I'm 36 years old and I'm from Fitchburg, Massachusetts. I've been working in the restaurant and hospitality field for the last 12 years but I've always knew that wedding and event planning was more of my passion. I recently started working at a wedding venue and hope to learn from them while I work on getting my certification. I feel as if I am currently struggling with this course. I don't think its the course itself, more along the lines of myself not understanding what is needed since I haven't been to school in 18 years and rarely use a computer. I'm a very hands-on learning kind of person so taking the course online makes it rather difficult for me. The couple that I am planning the wedding for is Kaylee and Devon. She's a nurse and Devon's an automotive technician. They met in high school and have been together for almost 10 years now. This will be a black and white themed, April wedding.

Relationship Education- Relationship Basics: The Business Meeting

Posted By Jennifer Giegel, Tuesday, March 31, 2020

This article is about that it is necessary to set a good time for a business meeting. Having an agenda for the meeting. It is very important to act professional and to stop the meeting if it gets emotional. Keep the meeting short and pat each other on the back for doing a good job. Break emotions that get high, work as a team, and treat each other with respect.

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Heather Bowles, Sunday, March 29, 2020
Updated: Sunday, March 29, 2020

Project 1 was a great intro to all platforms! I graduated with a degree in Architecture and always enjoyed managing projects but my heart was in events. I finally got the courage after having twins to step out and create a new career for myself.

My name is Heather of DylADor Event Managment!

My couple wanted to bring the tropics to the overcast region of Seattle. Colors incorporated would brighten the spaces for the wedding overall. The couple wanted to feature a signature cocktail that embodied the tropics with infusion of taste and colors. The couple is prepared to ship in all exotic flowers for their wedding.

Updated: Saturday, March 28, 2020

Local wedding and event planner, Charlotte Hardy is announcing the launch of her business, 'Eventfully Yours Bermuda.' This is the perfect event for everyone who needs help in planning their special day.

The grand opening will take place in the Beau Rivage restaurant, Bermuda on May 2nd, 2020 from 2.00pm to 5.00pm. We have food, cocktails, prize giveaways, a live DJ and much more!

Bring some cash to enter their exciting raffle, where multiple prizes can be won including a 3 hour sunset cruise that can be booked for a Pre wedding event. All proceedings will go to the local charity, Bermuda Heart Foundation.

They have a variety of packages from hourly wedding consultations to all-inclusive wedding packages.

I really enjoyed creating this final project. It was great knowledge of how to market my business by creating a Grand opening Launch of my company. It provided me with a better understanding of who my target market is, enabled me to focus on my mission statement and even covering a press release. I enjoyed creating a blog as it really expanded my knowledge of the many methods of advertising.

CWEP-PROJECT 2

Posted By Charlotte L. Hardy, Saturday, March 28, 2020
Updated: Saturday, March 28, 2020

Hi, my name is Charlotte. My overall goal is to own my own event company. After planning my own wedding a few years ago and assisting with friends I realised what my true passion was.

During this project I have decided to create a company called 'Eventfully Yours Bermuda'.  It is an Event planning company that focusses on wedding and Corporate events. I shall have 3 options of wedding packages. The Day of Coordination, Partial package (The Mayflower Package) and the Full Package (The Bermudiana Package).

My mission is to provide exceptional service to my guests. We will work together from start to finish to ensure that their special day is cohesive, personal and unique. As I reside in Bermuda 'Eventfully Yours Bermuda' will mainly target couples who wish to have a destination wedding.

This course has been extremely knowledgable and I take away some excellent tools that I can use in my line of work. I especially enjoyed this project as it was great experience in how to sell my company and my services. It has made me understand the full importance of vendor relationships, how to provide a client contract and to how to obtain a marriage license.

capitulo 4

Posted By Maria Enriqueta Delgado, Friday, March 27, 2020

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Danielle Gilbert, Friday, March 27, 2020

Greetings! My name is Danielle Gilbert from Richmond, VA. Over the past 18 years, my experience has been in the human resources industry. In 2018, I turned my passion in my purpose by turning event planning into a business, Galas By Gilbert Event Planning. As a professional event planner, my desire is to become a global creative designer for major corporations and celebrities .

My experience has taken me out of my comfort zone to become more organized with developing vision boards and documenting the journey. However, grateful for the tools, resources, and examples how to take a vision from paper to real life. Hoping to learn how to backdrops to add to my portfolio.

Created a Winter Wonderland wedding for a friend getting married in December. The bride is simple, yet classy and elegent. She and the groom want to walk in to wonderland from the moment leaving their hotel to the end of the reception. The vision board provides a clear view of what Winter Wonderland feels like in real life!

CWEP Project 2

Posted By Tania D. Baston, Friday, March 27, 2020

Hello. My business is Grand Amour Weddings and Events. My inspiration for my brand is LOVE. My business name means great love or true love.  The primary color of my brand is purple, which is my favorite. I will also include white and black.  The vibe my clients will experience is chic elegance.

It took me a while to create this brand. I started with the name, which took the longest. The colors were easy for me to pick. Next, I had to concentrate on my logo (still a work in progress), letterhead an business cards. My last goal is to make sure my my brand is uniform in every aspect (print, website, etc.)

I am targeting the newly engaged millennial, but I welcome all clients who understand the benefit of  my services.

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Sara C. Feolino (Smith), Thursday, March 26, 2020

Aloha everyone!

My name is Sara Feolino and I am from the island of Oahu. I currently reside in Southern Illinois and am a stay-at-home wife. Before my husband and I moved, I was a Kitchen & Bath admin/designer in-training. As a professional wedding/event planner, my husband and I will build our family business around engaged couples. Our services would include couple coaching, marriage prep, and wedding planning services. The goal is to create the least amount of stress and the most amount of memories for the couple and their family & guests without going into debt.

Doing this course has been a dream come true for myself and this project has been fun to plan because I love the aesthetic of a tropical/island wedding.  If I had the savings, I definitely would have wanted a wedding like this one!

In my project, I am planning a Hawaiian wedding for my best friend, Whitney and her boyfriend, Kai.  They are both born and raised in Hawaii and have a love for the beach.

CWEP Project 3

Posted By Kylie Gardner, Thursday, March 26, 2020

Events by Kylie to host Grand Opening next weekend, April 3rd-4th from 9am to 5pm. The event will include entertainment, chances to win raffle prizes, and a sneak peek into what the store (located on 827 Main St. in downtown Lake Geneva) will offer. The highlight of the event is a free wedding planning giveaway to a bride in need. To enter the drawing, the bride (or a friend/family member) must write a letter detailing why they deserve a free wedding planner. Entries will be taken throughout the next month, and the drawing will be held May 2nd.

Events by Kylie is a well-known name by many in the area, as they have planned many, many events and weddings over the past 10 years. They are branching out to include a storefront in downtown Lake Geneva where their services and items for rent will be on display. The store will also include items from other local vendors and will be a great resource for all associated with events and weddings in the area. Kylie Gardner, owner of Events by Kylie, says she is more than excited to have clients - past and present - be able to visit her in the new storefront. “I’m really just excited to finally have a place to meet with clients and be able to showcase what we do,” she said. “It’ll make brides’ lives much easier, having it all easily visible! What I’m most excited about, though, is the free giveaway we’re offering this next month. Make sure you enter!”

The store will be opening with regular hours the following weekend, April 10th. Hours and more details can be found on the Events by Kylie website at www.eventsbykylie.wordpress.com.

This project was really neat as I was able to put into practice some things that I have learned all throughout the course. I definitely appreciate all the wisdom that's been passed down to me through this course. I learned things I didn't know I needed until now and am so thankful for the chance to learn from the teachers here. The videos and my Lovegevity book will be opened/watched quite frequently in the years to come, because even if I don't need everything now, there's a good chance I'll need it later. So thank you!

This project I'm presenting is the grand opening of a storefront designed to offer brides visuals on most items they can only see online. Events by Kylie is a group of wedding planners who decided to open a rental business as well, where they rent things such as decor and game rentals. (Things brides normally have to buy and then are stuck with after the wedding). The grand opening will have a raffle and a free wedding planner giveaway to a bride in need.

Such a Great Investment

Posted By Tania D. Baston, Thursday, March 26, 2020

Hello. My name is Tania from Saginaw, MI. I am not new to the wedding and events planning industry but I am new to this course.  I have learned so over these past months. I feel like I was truly an amateur planner before this course. As I near the end, I look forward to building relationships with clients and vendors as well as making a name for myself. The Wedding Planner Institute has provided me with so many tools to use to help take the stresses away from planning.

I hope you enjoyed this course as much as I did.
