Certification Celebration

Posted By JoDee Krotz, 3 minutes ago
Hello once more! Our CWEP class celebrated our final class and certifications last night! What a night! The CWEP class from The University of Texas at Arlington, #BCE, planned a sweet finale' to honor our walk together for the past 12 weeks. We especially wanted to reflect what we've gleaned from our wonderful instructor, Cheryl Allgood. We 100% wanted Cheryl to see the influence she made on each of us as we celebrated our event with an event! With less than a week to plan our party, we each worked hard to pull a plan together. For our final eve together, we shared a wonderful family style, self prepared, multi-course meal. We made place cards, menus, chose a color theme; and everyone took part. We took a lot of photos, invited vendors who shared their trade, and reminisced from tears to laughter. As a parting memento, we gifted one anther with little items for each classmate to begin their emergency kits... and to remember one another by as we begin our walks. We love how we were able to crescendo the class in such a celebratory manner, reflective of a certified planner. It was an honor to grow together! https://www.pinterest.com/pin/127015651978294378/

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Kathryn S. Jozwicki, 2 hours ago

Project 1 was so much fun! I really enjoyed making this because I got to design an entire board myself and filled it with only things I really loved. Being able to come up with a theme and stick to it gave me a lot of confidence in planning weddings.

For my theme, I went with a romantic outdoor wedding with a color choice of blush/mauve, gray, and greenery. I went with this theme becausenot only was it beautiful in general, but I really love it and consider using that as a theme for when I get married (many years from now).

Altogether, this as a very fun and fulfilling project.

CWEP PROJECT #3

Posted By Ruth Cantarero, 21 hours ago

Hello Everyone! My name is Ruth Cantarero. Owner and CEO Of Beautiful Bereschit. Beautiful Bereschit announces its Grand Opening Event at PermaVista Ranch in Brenham, Tx- April 2019- New Company. Grand Opening Event. We are excited to announce our Grand Opening event of our wedding & event planning company. There is no better way than to celebrate the beginning of our company with this event!

This course has been a great learning experience. It has given me the tools to plan, coordinate, and promote my business. It is very hands on and it definitely takes time to put every project together, but it is worth the practice. This project has helped me put together all the knowledge learned in this course and motivate me to promote my company.

My Project #3 theme is a rustic & elegant event open for newly engaged couples, families, vendors & anyone interested in hosting a special event.

The theme will be an outdoor rustic with a touch of elegance. The event will take place under a tent with strings of lights, round tables, and brown chairs. We will have vintage pink centerpieces with candles to give a warm and calm atmosphere. We will have gourmet buffet style food for all the guests to enjoy all night. We will also have signature drinks, fresh lemonade, and a table of delicious desserts. We will also cut a cake to celebrate our Grand Opening. This will be a night full of surprises, fun, and a great time to meet couples, families, and vendors. We will have many activities such as lawn games for kids, families, couples, a DJ to help entertain the guests by playing music. We will showcase pictures from our portfolio on trees to keep the rustic theme and also a booth with more pictures from our portfolio. We will have business cards and brochures about the services we offer. We will have a Prezi presentation informing guests about our company  and showcase more pictures from our portfolio. As a gesture of appreciation to our guests, we will have a raffle with three gifts for the first three numbers. We will give out candles, mugs, and cute gifts. The first winner will win a box with gift cards for different places to have a romantic date with a loved one. We want all the guests to know that we are very grateful with them for attending our Grand Opening. We will give out thank you boxes with folders to make sure all our guests have our information and encourage them to contact us later.

Hello, my name is Sarah! I have just completed project 3. The theme of my grand opening is going to be Backyard Bubbles & Brunch. I chose to have the grand opening in the backyard of my home since I started my company out of my house. The event will include a waffle bar and a mimosa station. There will also be a raffle for different prizes. Vendors that I work closely with will be present as well. This event is meant to be very casual and there will be a guest speaker present to discuss networking. Guests include other planners in the industry, industry vendors, current and potential clients!

This is the Grand Opening for my very own M3G Events! The Grand Opening will take place at House Estate. It will be a very open and bright atmosphere. There will be harp music playing during the arrival of our vendors and guests. While it will be elegant it will be a very relaxed atmosphere allowing for brides and vendors to talk and mingle. There will be a very elaborate mimosa bar and brunch. After everyone is seated our preferred vendors will speak and provide helpful planning and budgetary tips on bookings for our prospective couples.

Hello, I am Charmaine Roan creator of A Simple Favor. I am new to this profession but have really enjoyed all the experiences. I am taking this course in a classroom setting and I do believe the hands-on instructor benefitted me better than an online course would have. Cheryl Allgood is the best! This project shows the services I will be providing. As well as a gallery to represent some of my finishing touches.

CWEP Project # 2 - Selling your service

Posted By Yetunde Ayeni, Saturday, April 20, 2019
Updated: Saturday, April 20, 2019

Hello, My name is Yetunde Ayeni, from Nigeria. I currently own an event management organization which I have run successful for the past two years, I however decided to take this certified course to increase my knowledge of the industry as well as gain more insight into the Wedding planning Industry and I am looking at going into this as well.

My experience in the CWEP class has been immensely awesome and of utmost value, it has made me understand want it entails to be a professional planner. For my project, I took a broad outlook of my current organization and put down ideas on how I can make it more professional and structured, as well as marketing ideas that I can put in place to grow my business.

CWEP Project #2

Posted By Breanna Winston, Friday, April 19, 2019
Updated: Friday, April 19, 2019

Ever After Events, LLC is a wedding and event planning company based in Chicago. Through our flawless eye for details and unique design aesthetic, our mission is to turn our brides’ fairytale dream wedding into reality. We offer full, partial, and day of packages as well as a la carte services to customize and create an unforgettable celebration that captures the love stories of our couples.

Within the first year in business, my goal is to break even by booking two full service clients along with at least five partial service or day of clients. Within five years, I would strive to have an established reputation in the business, assembled a team, received accolades from various organizations such as The Knot and WeddingWire. Within ten years, I intended to book an average of ten to twelve full service clients a year and begin educating others in the industry through guest speaking, hosting quarterly events, and mentorship.

Prior to embarking on this career path, I had obtained my Bachelor’s in Psychology and was going on to complete my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy. To set myself and my business apart from others, I’d like to offer premarital counseling as an a la carte service to potential clients. I believe premarital counseling is such a vital aspect because although we all dream about walking down the aisle on the big day and saying “I do,” I also want to prepare my couples for everyday after that.

CWEP Project #2

Posted By Alexa Gonzalez, Friday, April 19, 2019

The team at A & A Weddings and Events prides themselves on high quality and being affordable to all clients. We have our main packages for weddings and events, but they can also be broken down to the client’s needs.  We want to make sure no matter the budget we are willing to work with any client wanting a beautiful event.

We are happy to assist with any and all types of culture, backgrounds, and accommodate any traditions the clients may have. Something we will provide that will be different from other event planning companies would be that we will also offer DYI options that can help people with lower budgets. I know as a planner this is not a logical move but like we said before we believe everyone deserves a beautiful event.

The team at A & A Weddings and Events are striving to build a family oriented business that will serve the DFW area and eventually move further out to other cities and states. We want to be well known to all by being able to make their dreams come true!
