Project #1

Posted By Tymika Williams, Saturday, December 15, 2018
Project 1 are photos of a winter wonderland wedding that I thought would be really cool. From having a hot chocolate bar to having the bartender serve drinks from a carved drink pourer. I feel winter weddings don't get much recognition so I chose this as my topic for project 1. Doing so I was amazed at a lot of the things I was seeing with this type of wedding with the various ideas.

Project 1 - Rustic Romance Wedding

Posted By Ashley Bald, Friday, December 14, 2018

Hello Everyone!

My name is Ashley Bald and I was born and raised in Philadelphia but have now lived in Rhode Island for about two years. I moved here to attend the Rhode Island School of Design as a graphic design major, and plan on offering my design services alongside my planning services. I have been playing music as a drummer and creating art for many years now, but also have always had a passion for the planning of weddings and events. My goals are to start up my own planning business in early 2019 and work throughout the year to make it successful. I want to use my associate's in graphic design degree and this certificate to make a better life for my and my 6 year old son.

I have no prior experience in planning but I do have plenty of design experience that helped me not only have an eye for color and design of a wedding, but also of the website I created. I'm presenting in this blog post project one, and the theme I created for this wedding is Rustic Romance. I'm excited to see what everyone else has come up with as well!

Enjoy!

CWEP Project 1

Posted By LeAnna Kinnett, Wednesday, December 12, 2018
Hello everyone! The theme I chose for this project is a French country theme with a dusty blue, sage, and ivory color scheme. The venue I chose is a venue I actually work at, and it really has that southern elegance charm to it, tying perfectly with the French country theme! I hope you guys enjoy!

CWEP Project 1 Blog Post

Posted By Carrie Hungerpiller, Sunday, December 9, 2018

Hello! My name is Carrie, and I currently am living in Charleston, SC. I am currently working in the Hospitality Industry, but Wedding Planning is my dream career. I would love to eventually own my own wedding planning company one day (some day far down the line), but for now my goal is to get into the industry and start perfecting my skills.

This project allowed me to finally plan a wedding in a condensed format. I've always bounced around ideas, but this project allowed me to get out all my ideas in one seamless concept. I based my project on a couple named Laura and Harry, who met in a French class in college and then reconnected on a study abroad trip to Provence, France. Their wedding is based on a classic, vintage French concept, with colors of champagne, dusty blue, and hints of lavender.

The goal of my mood board below is to hopefully show the timeless concept with a bit of a rustic feel as well, as the south of France has that charm to it you can't find anywhere else. Hopefully this will inspire you to travel to Provence and see it for yourself!

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Sierra Ostergaard, Sunday, December 9, 2018

Hey there! My name is Sierra Ostergaard and I'm currently residing in Fort Polk, Louisiana where my husband is stationed in the Army. As an army wife, I've had many careers such as a Elementary School teacher and a CNA(Certified Nurse Assistant) but this allows me to follow another one of my dream jobs because why pick just one? haha! I hope to be able to give others a chance at a wedding of their dreams without the stress of putting one all together!

This project has certainly opened my eyes to how much actually goes into planning a wedding. Every little detail matters and it has been so much fun trying to plan and coordinate schedules and planning for this wedding.

My clients met while in college and want their big day to be in their favorite season: Winter! With a unique blend of colors arranging from red, gold, silver, and a supply of greenery, there will be a winter themed wedding. Every aspect of the wedding will be winter themed all the way from winter invitations with fresh spruce figs to scented Firestarter pine cones as appreciative favors. By the end of the wedding, you will see why the couple loves winter and it may just become your new favorite season as well!

CWEP-Project 3

Posted By Leandra McCall, Saturday, December 8, 2018

Brooklyn, NY- With over 3 years of experience Leandra McCall of LJM Consultings announces the formal launch of her wedding and event company. Join Leandra and team at their super chic affair at the Akwaaba Mansion! This is one event you don’t want to miss. What a better way to launch the start of her company but in style!!

I can honestly say I am grateful for the opportunity to have invested in my craft and expand my knowledge of the industry. With the information learned, I will use it to grow and develop my brand to a higher standard. Also, I enjoyed working on this project. It forced me to turn a vision into an actual plan and I look forward, in the near future, to making it a reality!

For this project, we were asked to plan a Launch party for our business. My launch party will be a networking brunch with “Kate Spade chic” inspired decor.

Hi lovelies! Kimberly from Oakford Events here, I'm incredibly excited to share my very first moodboard with you all. This board was created for a newly engaged couple, whose personalities were so different, yet somehow, perfect for one another. Here we don't only see reflections of their individual personalities, but also who they are as a couple. Mixing untouched nature and effortless elegance. Vibrant forest greens meeting timeless golds. Bohemian chic elevated to bohemian royalty. Welcome to the newest chapter of their love story.

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Victoria Martin, Thursday, December 6, 2018
This project was so much fun! My mood board was inspired by my friends (Emily & Jared) getting married next year. My theme is a spring time rustic wedding in Texas. I chose a simple looking cake, neutral colors and a lot of cute decor. An outside wedding seems perfect for the theme I chose.

Project # 1

Posted By Josephine Perez, Monday, December 3, 2018
Project 1 showed me that seeing visual on an idea changes how to look at it. Ideas float around in your head and they don't look the same once you actual seeing it in front of you. I was looking at a garden wedding and it's not floral big as I would have liked, so now I have to change my whole idea. I still love the idea of a garden wedding.

Preferred Vendors

Posted By Lauren Bailey, Monday, December 3, 2018
My most complicated yet favorite assignment was the vendor checklist. Getting to talk to people and know more about this business got me really excited for the work I want to do. Between reading yelp reviews, glass door reviews and search companies entire social media presence, I got a great feel for the kind of companies I'd like to work with. I found many quirky unconventional company that fit along with Get Lo event planning mission. Now that I've  learned a little more and feel less lost, I look for to contacting vendors in the future and seeing where our creativity can take us.

Posted By kristen ely, Sunday, December 2, 2018

Hi,

My name is Kristen and I am currently a wedding photographer in the middle of trying to open my own event venue on our farm in Michigan. I thought that the addition of wedding and event planning to my resume would be a beneficial thing to do with my time over the off season and I am eager to learn everything I can to succeed in an industry I love! I created my mood board with the not so traditional winter couple in mind.
