PROJECT 1- PLAN A WEDDING-BOHO WEDDING

Posted By Melissa Jaramillo Beltran, Wednesday, March 18, 2020

My name is Melissa Jaramillo and I am from Colombia. I used to live in the US a few months ago but I am currently working as an event planner in a hotel in Colombia.

I am Tourism manager and I decided to take this course because I love working in events. Additionally, I am planning to start my own wedding planner business.

I really like this course because I think I have learnt so many things that will help me a lot to build my business.

John and Jennifer are a couple who have been together for 5 years. They decided to get married in April 2020 and they will celebrate their wedding at JW Marco Island beach resort.  The theme from the wedding is blue with lights around and the bridesmaids will wear light blue dresses. the ceremony will be semi-casual,

I have decided to capture my best friend´s ideas for her wedding. She is going to get married in April and she wants a hippy bohemian wedding with a simple and organic decoration, soft texture and rustically touch at the beach. Also, the natural vibe is the key of the party.

Hey Melissa!

Great work, I love the mood board that you created for your friends' wedding! I feel you captured the bohemian "vibe" and aesthetic very well! I am curious, is your friend still planning on getting married in April amid the COVID-19 outbreak? I know that COVID is at the forefront of everybody's conversations these days, and certainly weddings are happy times that should remain unaffected if possible, but as a wedding planner, I'm interested to learn how you would navigate all the comes with postponing a wedding if that was the route the bride and groom chose to take.

I'm very interested in hearing your take on this!

Best, Lisa Kinskey
