Hello, my name is Angelina and I am from Chicago. I went to Loyola University for business, then proceeded to go to Kendall College for my culinary degree. I am currently working as a catering coordinator, and plan menus/coordinate staff for different types of events from birthday parties, graduations, to even weddings.
I have been catering events for about seven years now, and recently decided that I wanted to expand my planning knowledge and experience, and that was when I decided to sign up for this course. My future goal for myself after this course will be to make a career change, particularly in the wedding/event planning field. The only experience I have in the field is catering these events, which like I did with this project, involves a lot of planning and working with other vendors.
While I was working on this project some of it came easy to me, but I had to use a lot of what I learned in the chapters as well. I am very proud of what I put into the project, and put a lot of my own personality in it. The wedding I planned is a Fall/Halloween affair and will be taking place in October, and it will have an elegant Gothic vibe. The menu will be full of Fall flavors, from the first course to the dessert table. The color scheme will be on the darker side, the bridesmaids and groomsmen will be wearing maroon and black. Any guests that walk into not only the venue, but ceremony, will see a Till’ Death Do Us Part theme throughout.
