Project 1 wedding

Posted By Maria Patricia Mendez (Mendez), Monday, November 25, 2019

Hi Everyone! Hope everybody is doing fine. I am Maria Patricia Mendez. I’m from Dominican Republic. I have done a lot of different careers along my 45 years in this life. I had been a lawyer’s assistant intern back in DR as a Law student. When I move to the States, I studied education in Chicago. I got married in 2002 and had my first child in 2005 and decided to be  stay-home-mom for 6 years. In the current moment, I work as a personal stylist at JCrew store in Miami. After doing some events this year I decided and knew I was meant to be in the creative, planning, organizing, event business. I love every detail of this industry. I pray God that my wish to become a successful personalized wedding and event planner will soon come true. Hopefully finding my niche where I can give my knowledge and contribute to all my clientele with the tools for a flowing happy experience. Moreover, I would love to start having 2 weddings and 2 other types of events per month. Crossing fingers and good work and effort from my part.

In this certification course, I’m having so much fun. I am enjoying every aspect of it. I am glad, I decided myself to do it.

Project 1 is becoming a “can’t stop having ideas and work until late” for making my sister's wedding. At the beginning, I thought to do a 50 years old Birthday celebration, but at the end I got astonished by the wedding events.

I decided to do Project 1 on my sister future wedding. A wedding on the beach with minimalist romantic rustic boho ambience. Color themed on soft pink, white, and hints of gold. Elegant but simple. Details, illumination, flowers, photos, memories will be the center (besides the couple) of this intimate event.
