PBFD1 chapter 8 centerpieces blog

Posted By Juana Yvonne Perez-Saldaña, Friday, November 8, 2019

   Greeting to all :

My name is Juana Yvonne, and as my last assignment for the FundamentalsFloral Designer Course I am please to show you the bohemian palette selected for all the final floral pieces.  The importance of this course in the floral  industry is to provide me with the fundamental knowledge to build a profesional carrier in the event and floral business.  My passion for flowers began more than 20 years ago. But my love for the field of art design been with me since the time of college.

The first design was clear glass vase arrangement using clear tape grid as a support for all the flowers. The arrangement was composed with peach gerber daisy, dusty rose  oriental lilies, hydreangeas, hanging burgundy amaranth, Ivy stems, and hanging pampas grass.  This vase would serve perfect as a welcome to an event arrangement or as end table decor.  The options to design the topiary were limitless, I opted to give it a English Garden look,  reflexiona 3 roses, exposing the darker burgundy color of the other petals and giving the opportunity of the dusty lavender to taker over the top part of the topiary made it romantic as the roses where surrounded by fully open spay roses and ivy. The centerpiece shared the same dusty rose, muted mustard yellow, burgundy and ivory with the addition of fruited fig branches, cascading  sunflowers, pampas grass and silver dollar eucalyptus. Perfect centerpiece for a  farmers table setup in the outdoors event. In the other hand the garland was made to decorate a piano, full of greenery ,white hydrangeas , mustard color pompon daisy  and one main sunflower. Small pumpkins and deer horns were added as non floral design.

as my last assignment complementing all the arrangements from the same palette, it was satisfied to see how beautiful and complete all the elements wrap around when colors are chosen with a feeling in mind.

I hope you take a look at my work, happy to read  your comments bellow.
