My name is Kereen Wilson and I am from Brooklyn, New York. Currently I am employed by the City of New York. I am new to the event planning industry. My interest in the event planning industry ignited last year while helping a family member plan her destination wedding. The desire to be innovative, creative and flexible drove me to join Lovegevity and take a step into the endless possibilities within the event planning industry. I aspire to use my knowledge as an event planner to create a successful career infused with love, food, fun and excitement.
I was driven to this course because a career as an event planner will enable personal growth, creativity, passion and vision, which I desire; along with the satisfaction that comes from bring joy to others. This course is very detailed, adequate time must be dedicated to reading each chapter. My excitement grew with each chapter, so far I have learned wedding etiquette, wedding fashion, contract, budgeting, delegating tasks, and some of the do and don’ts as a professional event planner.
My Project is about a newly engaged couple who met in college, they desire a small destination beach wedding. My mood board embodies a simple elegant beach wedding. The colors for the wedding are, blue, yellow, white and gold with focus on the bride and groom’s vibrant personalities and their love for the outdoors. The couple wishes to have a romantic twilight wedding.
