Chapter 8 Assignment

For this assignment I created a vase arrangement using a grid made with bowl tape, shown below.

I had this cute watering can vase that I used to give the project some character. To match the character of the vase I created a shabby chic floral arrangement using soft pink roses and baby's breath. I love the soft colors with this vase, it brings the look together. I could see this arrangement being used at a wedding or as a centerpiece at a tea.

Next I created a small topiary using pink carnations. This part of the project was challenging to get the flowers just right.

Next for the assignment I created a long/low centerpiece.

For this arrangement, I used the pink carnations and white daisy's with plenty of greenery. To give the arrangement a pop of color, I added lemons from my own garden. I loved the idea of using fruits along with flowers in this project. I chose these colors for the arrangement because I could see this being used for a spring or summer wedding.

For this part of the assignment I created two foot long garland.

I actually used most of my own flowers from my garden, the greenery I got was from a whole sale flower market in Orange County. This garland was interesting to put together as I looked at my garden for inspiration. I love the purple flowers mixed with a few of the yellow to give it contrast. I used small white roses to draw attention to the center.

For this arrangement I used long stemmed pink roses.
