CWEP 18.6 assignment

Posted By Donna Finley, Monday, March 26, 2018
Hello everyone! My name is Donna Jackson and I reside in the Chicagoland Area.  I have always been the person nominated to put together a social event at work, for a friend, or for family.  Contributing to someone else's happiness  through my creative talents has always been rewarding to me.  So I decided to start a business. I purchased business cards, created a website, and waited. LOL.  Long story short I wasted money and time because I was lacking some very important key elements to my business.  I then took a look at the curriculum of my local community college and there was my answer! A professional Wedding and Event Planning Course.  I was excited to take this course because I knew that I would learn how to start my business correctly.  I have gained a tremendous amount of information on this industry.  The types of weddings and cultures was very informative. But most importantly, I learned the BUSINESS side of this industry. The chapters and instruction on starting your business, marketing, and expanding your business are priceless.  My instructor Desire'e Dent is absolutely awesome! The course material provided by Lovegevity is something that I will reference for years to come.  Anyone who is thinking of joining this industry can benefit greatly from taking courses with this institution!

Hi Donna -
My story is definitely similar to yours. Always the one that family & friends call on to plan an event! The joy of others happiness is why I do what I do. I am in the Chicagoland area as well and hope to connect on future endeavors!

Hi, loved your post! I can absolutely relate...I am always the "go-to" when planning an event, but I cannot complain! I also agree that the material I have gathered throughout this course is stuff I will reflect on for years to come.
