My Experience as a Lovegevity Student

Posted By Lauren Grzymala, Wednesday, April 12, 2017

I can remember being a senior in high school, not really having any clue what I wanted to do with my career. I selected a local college, majoring in Criminal Justice and minoring in Spanish. I woke up for my classes every day, never really feeling motivated or interested in the material I was learning. After a year and a half in a major I hated, I decided I should take a break from college to focus on my work experience, and to figure out my passions. It didn't take long for me to figure out how much I loved working with people, and through planning my own wedding, the events leading up to it, and other parties for family and friends, I discovered my true passion was in wedding and event planning. I researched schools and programs endlessly, wanting to ensure I chose the perfect one to give me an edge in the industry.

I was reading a blog about the topic when I came across the link for The Wedding Planning Institute by Lovegevity. After yet more research, and with the guiding and supportive hand of my husband, I enrolled in the courses with Lovegevity, and I can honestly say I could not have made a better decision with where to further my education. Lovegevity gave me so much more than just the knowledge of the industry. I wasn't just majoring in Wedding and Event Planning; I also majored in Social Media Marketing, Business, and even got a glance into Legal processes. This program has already given me an edge unlike any other, at a time where there is an amazing market opportunity for my business.

If you would have told me three years ago that I would be getting my certification in Wedding and Event Planning and starting my own business, I would have walked away in disbelief. Now, I have the strength, confidence, and knowledge to take me further than I ever would have dreamed, in a field I could not be more passionate or in love with. Thank you, Lovegevity, for helping me find my way when I had no direction, and for giving me the knowledge and skills to build my dream career!

Hi. I felt the same way too. I always feel like I dont know what to do with my life and that I am not creative enough to even enter this field. I do know that I am detailed oriented and always love to help people. I am very happy for you that you are now a certified wedding planner :)

Hi Lauren,
Although I have some years ahead of you, I also found myself looking for something that I had passion for. After planning so many birthdays and parties for my kids, I realized that I really enjoy it. I am detail oriented, organized, love to come up with different ideas to be more creative, and mostly I feel content and satisfied to see people enjoy and be happy at each event. Wishing you much success in your event planning!!!

Hey Lauren,
Once I finished high school I actually no plan of going to college because I didn't want to spend another 4 years behind a desk. My parents pushed me to find something, so I settled for a local college and switched majors twice until I figured out that I didn't want to do either of those things anymore. So I dropped out of college. My parents still wanted me to find something to do with my life, so it took me 2 years to finally decide what I needed to do with my life and came across this course. I am so happy that I did. I have enjoyed my time here at Lovegevity and am sad that I only have about a month and a half left. Enrolling in this course was the best decision I could have made.

I've known since High School wedding planning was my dream. It took me a little while to be confident and in a place where I wanted to do this full time. Now that I am there I am so thankful I found LWPI these courses have been amazing and will definitely benefit my future.
