CWEP Project 1

Posted By Selena Whittington, 1 hour ago
This is a beautiful and elegant wedding. The roses symbolize Romance and the Diamonds symoblize beauty. This is my first time planning a wedding or any type of event in detail. For it being my first time I feel I did kind of a good job.

Hi! My name is Nadia Ehia and I'm taking the course at the University of Texas at Arlington. This is my submission for Project 2. Project 2 was very helpful because I gained insight on how to package and price my services. It also helped me plan what my bridal consultations would be like.

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Amy Wilson, 13 hours ago
Hi! My name is Amy and I live just outside of Austin, Texas, while my husband is in the military. We are planning to move in the next couple of months to Austin and are so excited! I currently work as a Floral Designer for a florist in Austin, and am an intern for an event planning company as well. Once I complete my certification and internship I plan to open my own business! As my business grows, my husband and I would like to open a wedding rental shop. He builds custom furniture and would like to incorporate that into my business. I enjoyed working on all of the different aspects of Project 1 from the design to planning each and every detail. It was a lot of fun going to several venues and meeting all of the people in the industry in my community! It really helped me feel more confident in myself as a future business owner! For project 1, I designed a semi-formal, romantic fall wedding that included painted pumpkins and gold footed bowls with florals for the centerpieces. I have planned more formal, black tie weddings, as well as casual, rustic weddings (all of which were summer weddings). I wanted to challenge myself with a semi formal, romantic style wedding that took place in the fall. Again, I enjoyed this project so much, and cannot wait to dive into the rest of the course!

CWEP Project 3

Posted By Kallie Boyd, Sunday, October 22, 2017

My name is Kallie Boyd, owner of Kallie Boyd Event Co. Kallie Boyd Event Co. will be hosting an Open House at Parker Crossing in Bryan, TX from 4pm-6pm on December 2, 2017 to kick-off their grand opening. Planning an event or wedding? You are invited to meet Kallie Boyd and her event planning staff and learn more about their packages, pricing, and experience in the industry.

This course has been a great learning experience. I have developed so many vital skills and broadened my knowledge on event and wedding planning. I know that I will be able to use everything I've learned in my business and with my clients.

Project 3 was by far my favorite project. I created an Open House event with a simplistic, elegant, warm and inviting atmosphere, food, drinks, games, and prizes. This event will help guests learn about Kallie Boyd Event Co. and the services I have to offer, as well as meet the vendors I have partnered with.

CWEP Project 3

Posted By Angela Chereso, Sunday, October 22, 2017

“Chicago, Illinois, -January 1st, 2018- AMC Events announces the opening of their new wedding and event planning company. AMC Events mission is to provide their clients the guidance and support needed help them in the process of creating their event. AMC Events is open to helping all clients with different budgets, wedding styles, and themes. Owner and lead planner, Angela Chereso (CWEP), has been a wedding and event planner for over 2 years and opened AMC Events when she decided to turn her hobby into a career. Her office is based in the Chicago suburbs, with plans for a future office in downtown Chicago.”

With this being my last and final project for this course I can confidently say that I have learned so much from this class and cannot wait to take what I’ve learned and use it out in the wedding and event planning industry! This project, like the others, has really opened my eyes to wedding and event planning. There is more to it than just finding pictures and creating a vision for your client/clients; but the logistics, the planning, contracts, etc. There is so much more that goes into planning wedding and events that people (like myself at first) did not realize. The business part of wedding and event planning was something very new to me. I have no business background nor did I ever think of the business aspects to wedding and event planning. Overall LOVED this course and cannot wait to put “CWEP” next to my name J

This project is the grand opening of my wedding and event planning company (AMC Events). I include a press release, marketing tools, a blog, philanthropy, and the A8/A6 formula to describe how the event will go.

Hi!

My name is Anna and I live in a suburb of Portland, Oregon called Happy Valley. I currently work for an Oral Surgeon near the area and am looking forward to finishing up my schooling with LWIP! I plan to work part time with a wedding planning company in the area while still working full time for my current employer. My hopes are to transition slowly to a full time wedding planner! I have THOROUGHLY enjoyed working on this first project of mine. This project really opened up my door of creativity and let me work with creative ideas I already have and learned quite a few as well! I have complied together photos for this mood board that I hope can accurately depict my first project I have submitted.

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Rebecca Lloyd, Saturday, October 21, 2017
I really enjoyed this assignment for multiple reason. I spend a good amount of time browsing Pinterest in my free time so I loved being able to do it as an assignment with a specific goal in mind. I had so much fun coming up with a unique wedding theme and was so pleased with how many options are out there which brought so many different ideas to mind. This assignment showed me that there are endless themes, ideas, and options when it comes to event planning and you don't have to use the same idea twice to have any amazing end result.

18.6 LWPI Blog Contribution

Posted By Kallie Boyd, Friday, October 20, 2017
When I started LWPI, I wasn't exactly sure what I had planned for the future. After college, I went to work as a full time event manager at a venue, and while on paper it was the "dream job," in reality it wasn't what I expected. I took time off to figure out if event planning should be my career path, and during that time, I found that it truly was my passion and what I wanted to do. So I enrolled to become a Certified Wedding and Event Planner. I have really enjoyed my learning experience and feel like I have grown exponentially during this course. I now feel equipped to start my own event planning business, and I know that I can give my clients the best advice and service because of this course.

Project 1

Posted By JANINE KLAUS,, Wednesday, October 18, 2017

Hi Lovegevity-Community,

I'd like to present you my first project, the wedding of Royalty & Bash a young couple who were best friends in kindergarten, but lost sight of each other when her parents moved and got back together in college.

The couple wasn't on a budget and they wanted a luxurious wedding in rose gold with a lot of sparkles, they also wished to have the ceremony and reception at the same location and we just found the perfect venue for them.

It was lots of fun planning the wedding, it taught me a lot about communicating and networking with local vendors, it also showed me that when you work hard with a goal insight, it pays of to stay focused.

I chose to create a website on wix.com, that way, it is more accessible to the couple, family and friends.

Hopefully you guys enjoy exploring the website.

Janine

CWEP Project 1

Updated: 3 hours ago

Project 1- I am excited about my first project. The theme of this wedding is Latin fun with fall colors. The venue is outdoors in an hacienda in Southern California.

-During the initial meeting with the Bride to be Patricia and Groom Jesse, they both agreed to have a small wedding with 100 guests. They both wanted a fall wedding (2018) in an outside setting possibility in a hacienda near the Los Angeles area. They were both born and raised in Los Angeles and wanted to stay local. Both being second generation Mexican American, they wanted to keep some traditions during the day of their wedding. Although, they stated they wanted their ceremony to be held at the venue.

Patricia’s color pallet is fall colors which consist of dark purples, burgundy, burnt orange and dark reds. She wants natural flowers at the venue and wants different center pieces on every other table. She also wants assigned sitting for her guests and choose Spanish looking tiles to incorporate with sitting arrangements. She also request for “papel picardo” banner for the outdoor venue to represent their Mexican Culture.

Patricia wants to surprise her husband to be and guests with a Mariachi band during the cocktail hour.  They also want guests to be served their favorite tequila drinks along with small appetizers. They both stated they wanted all guests to eat drink and have fun.

Project 1 blog submission

Posted By Qing Liu, Tuesday, October 17, 2017

Hi, my name is Lexi.  I am studying wedding and event planning in Los Angeles right now.  My goal is to finish the course and work as a wedding planner.  My long term goal is to start my own business on wedding planning and serve luxury/high-end weddings in Los Angeles and Orange County.

The project is very interesting.  I made up a couple and planned a wedding for them.  I went through all the A8 requirement which is very specific and useful for planning a wedding.  I made a luxury wedding with purple and white color.  It would be hold in a grand hall with lots of decorations to create high-end atmosphere.

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Paige Valentia, Tuesday, October 17, 2017

Hello, my name is Paige Valentia and I currently live in upstate New York. I am originally from New York, but we move around a lot because my husband is in the Marine Corps.  I enjoyed this assignment because I like piecing together different elements in order to get to a final outcome. Paying close attention to detail and being organized are also two things I am passionate about as well. My case study begins with a couple who has requested an early summer wedding. They want soft romantic touches which include colors of blush, ivory, and navy. Navy will appear on the groom and the groomsmen which will complement the blush bridesmaids dresses beautifully. There will be flowers seen in centerpieces in shades of blush, pinks and ivory and also some greenery in the bouquets. Candles placed on the table in the entrance where guests can find their table number and place card will also help to give that romantic feel. Décor will be simple, but elegant. All components of the A8 formula will be executed throughout.

My Dream Wedding

Posted By Amanda Adelia Savala, Tuesday, October 17, 2017

Hello, Hello! My name is Amanda Adelia Savala. Born and raised in Houston, Texas. I am the oldest of 3 siblings, and I love tacos. Who doesn’t? Since I was a child, I was always into all types of art. From music to paintings to dance, poetry, Mother Nature, photography to fashion & design…you name it! I absolutely love it all! I’m all about expressing myself through all these different types of art. I’m also super energetic, a little OCD, and extremely effervescent. I have a great eye for design and get my inspiration from lots of different exotic things! I love thinking outside the box and being unique. Creativity is my way of expressing my soul to the world. I am a huge perfectionist and an even huger people pleaser (If huger is even a word) I realized that all of these talents can definitely be put to use in the wedding/event planning industry plus I have this obsession with flowers so I thought this is definitely my dream career

Project 1

Christine Diamondś 60th Birthday

Hi, My name is Whitney M Johnson. I currently am an OR Scheduling Coordinator at a hospital in Charlottesville, VA by day and a volunteer firefighter in Fork Union, Virginia by night. When i was in high school i started assisting my mother with special events rental equipment and several years ago decided to branch out on my own and become an event planner.

For this assignment i planned Christine Diamondś 60th Birthday Party in Red Bank NJ. Christine will be celebrating in May 2018. She is expecting 50 - 75 guests will be in attendance traveling both far and near. Her birthday party will be a semi formal evening dinner party full of early hip hop and jazz music.

Christine is the mother of two beautiful young women. As any mother would, Christine often put her family before herself. For this milestone in her life, she intends to go all out. She wants this event to not only be about her but to be about her guests as well.

The entertainment, location and dinner were most important to Christine. All of which have significant meaning from her childhood. At an early age she was a dancer in her hometown of Red Bank, NJ. She has a signature surprise for her guests where she will have a solo dance performance & ask them to join her on the dance floor. Hope you enjoy! Whitney M Johnson

project 2

Posted By Marion C Jeffery, Monday, October 16, 2017
Hi I'm Marion Jeffery and this is my blog about project 2. Project 2 was very helpful and gave me a lot of insight on selling services. I have a better knowledge of what I would be providing a bride and groom when trying to sale them on letting me be their wedding planner, as well as any event I plan. It also gave me a confidence boost when it comes to speaking with other people and getting comfortable when pitching to a new client. I found it very helpful with trying to come up with different services and ideas to provide a client. I'm looking forward to putting all this knowledge I'm learning about the wedding planning industry to use.

CWEP Project 2

Posted By Imelda Duarte, Monday, October 16, 2017
Hi I am Imelda Duarte from Chicago,  This is my Project 2 submission about my company, Cloud 9 Special Events and its services.  This project has actually made me connect everything that it takes to build, have and market a business.  I am great with the creative side of wedding and event planning, but this project has helped me understand the business side of this industry.  I really enjoyed learning so much as this is one of the main reasons why I decided to take this course, to learn the business side of the industry.  This has really motivated me and given the confidence to build my own wedding and event planning business as I now know what it takes and what needs to be done to get to my business goals.

Project #1

Posted By Amara Belazzoug, Monday, October 16, 2017

My name is Amara and I come from Barcelona, Spain. I'm living in California for one year, working as an Au Pair while Im preparing my future as a wedding planner for when I go back home. I hope to start my own wedding bussines when I go back Europe.

I started this course three weeks ago and I'm so happy with it. For this first project, I created the wedding of Rocío and Keiran.

Rocío and Keiran decided that they wanted a very familiar and intimate wedding. Just their most close friends and relatives were invaited to the wedding day. In total they were 50 guest.

They wedding was inspired in the south of Spain. A romantic vintage flamenco wedding was the result and the couple lived one of the happiest days of their life.

Pastel colors, reds and pinks that are inspired in the "patios andaluces". The food, the music...all surrended in the beautiful California.
