Project 1

Posted By Alyssia Soto, 9 hours ago

Hello,

My name is Alyssia and I'm from Orlando, Florida. I really enjoyed doing this project because I have never worked with Canva before. Having the ability to convey my ideas with a vision board using this outlet was really awesome.

I created this mood board to reflect my vision for a Fall wedding at an outdoor venue in Orlando. The bride and groom, Karina and Vincent, wanted the color scheme to reflect the fall season all while staying bright and romantic. Bringing ideas that tie along with the color scheme is very helpful with allowing the couple to see how my vision ties to theirs when it comes to their big day.

Project 3

Posted By Madison Bledsoe, 12 hours ago

My name is Madison and for this grand opening project I thought it would be a great idea to throw an adoption party for local animals at the shelter. It's such a great thing to be able to give animals homes and I know tons of people feel the same way. This is such a special project for me because it's something that I would love to be able to do one day.

CWEP Project 1

Hello everyone! My name is Kaliope Mihalic, I live in Winchester VA; and am aspiring to become a Wedding and Event Planner. For this assignment I decided the best client would be myself! I chose to do a Great Gatsby (Roaring 20's) themed wedding. By bringing black and gold, with feathers, crystal, and pearls it is pure elegance. Then playing on the fact that prohibition is over. So added the riskiness with the wedding dress and alcohol. Please give me feedback on what you thought about my mood board as I am always trying to improve. Have a great day!

CWEP Project 1

Posted By Saige Boyer, Tuesday, April 24, 2018
My name is Saige and I am from White Haven, Pennsylvania.  I decided to go with a beach themed wedding because it's been a long winter and summer is over due.  For a calm and relaxing wedding, the beach seems like the perfect way to go.  This project was great for me because I was able to learn a lot about canva.  Canva is an extremely resourceful tool that I plan to use in the future for additional mood boards and collages.

CWEP - Project 2 Submission

Posted By Ghislaine van de Laarschot, Sunday, April 22, 2018

My name is Ghislaine, I am 25 years old and I am located in Boston, MA.

This assignment made me think long and hard about how I want to present myself to a client and how to not undervalue myself. Overall, I think I did a pretty good job in pricing with a little help from the online discussion about How to sell my services at value. As women we tend to undervalue ourselves when it comes to pricing/getting paid so this was a really great exercise. It was also good to organize everything into a cohesive document thats easy to read.

Project 2

Posted By Samantha Ferrigno, Sunday, April 22, 2018

1. Hello, I am Samantha Ferrigno. I am a Navy Spouse and I love my job. I am the president of his ship's Family Readiness Group and I am a volunteer for Blue Star Families as their event planner in the south  part of San Diego.

2. This project has been tough but well worth it. I found it to be easy to create and come up with on the fly. It didn't take nearly as long as Project 1.

3. This project created a great overview of the part of the course that we covered to create this and more. We had to really reach into our creative parts of ur brains to find what we really wanted.

Grand Opening Project 3

Posted By Marcela Avila, Saturday, April 21, 2018

For project three I am launching my business called Marcela Events. I will create a one of a kind event for every client. Press, vendors and potential clients will be invited to an industrial glam and wine tasting party at a local winery.  The Grand Opening will have a magician as entertainment, there will be two guest speakers who are influencers and founders of the non-profit organizations I am planning to help with fundraising events coordination. I will have a raffle and at the end of the evening guests will take home a party favor.

I hope you all like my project 3 moodboard.

CWEP PROJECT 1

Posted By christal gines, Friday, April 20, 2018

Destination Wedding in the Caribbean.

Décor.

When the theme is Tropical Bohemian I think about bright colors, texture and giving you that outdoor vibe indoors. Lots of exotic flowers and foliage. And why not having a parrot or two to make those photo booth pictures unique and create an authentic island vibe.

My name is Alysha and I live in Calistoga, CA. I use to work in retail and in restaurants. I want to run my own wedding and events planning business. I got pretty confused with canva but I think that I am figuring it out. I had a fun time with pintrest though. I am planning my own wedding at the moment and it is a rockabilly theme. These are example of things that I want at my wedding. I had a lot of fun being able to do this as an assignment.

Hello and my name is Emily Matthews and I am posting my mood board here for my grand opening. I would be hosting the event at a wonderful youth golf organization that is very dear to my heart because it is part of having a themed event, not necessarily too much of a destination but still something because it's at a specific venue.

Project 1 Blog Submission

Oleta Reed

PROJECT 1: BLOG SUBMISSION

My name is Oleta Reed. I am from Indianapolis, Indiana. Once I obtain my Wedding and Event Planning certification I plan to go into business as a professional event planner. Although I truly enjoy planning most events, I want to service clients who would like help planning events outside of weddings, parties or baby showers. Of course I am not going to turn down any event. However, I want to plan family reunions, expos, community, church or private events. I would also like to explore planning destination weddings.

My experience in the course has allowed me to be better prepared for the wedding and event planning industry. The coarse material was helpful. But, the webpage was very confusing and not user friendly at all. Nonetheless, I believe the course thoroughly covered every aspect of event planning and what it takes to be successful.

The project gave me a blue print of what elements are required in planning an event. I now know that if I use the A8 formula when planning events I will be off to a great start.

3. Give a short intro/overview of the project you are presenting on the blog (1-2 sentences).

The bride and groom are very excited to celebrate in their special day. The stage has been set to have an elegant yet personalized event. When the attendees leave they will know they were at the wedding of Angela and Darnell. The colors are both bride and grooms favorite (gold, red, silver). The bride has chosen to incorporate all of her students from their shared non for profit organization by allowing them to sing a selection at her wedding. The cake is 3 tiered with the flavors being white, chocolate and the grooms favorite at the top (red velvet). There will be a host of family and friends at the event enjoying the couples favorite music (R&B).
